Storyline:
My elderly mom bought 4 brand new appliances in September of 2019. The Dishwasher would not power on exactly 3 years to the date of purchase September 2022.
My mom called Bob Wallace Appliance in September of 2022 when the dishwasher wouldn't power on.
Bob Wallace Appliance charges $120 fee to come out to your house to diagnose the problem. Red Flag Warnings

The tech flipped off the breaker and flipped it back on. Said problem was fixed.
Dishwasher worked for a week the would not power on again. Called Bob Wallace Appliance told them dishwasher would not power on again. Service department said it will be another $120 fee?

What they didn't fix the problem the 1st time out.

So we got the breaker replaced. Not the problem. Dishwasher still had no power.

On March 6th 2023 we ordered a power control board from Bob wallace appliance. $135.
Dishwasher worked again for 2 days then wouldn't power on again.

I go there to discuss the problem with the Service department manager.
Telling her the story about the dishwasher.

Once again Bob wallace appliance wants $120 to come diagnose the dishwasher.

They refused to wave the $120 fee.
Even said if you would have called within 90 days of the 1st $120 diagnosis charge we would come back out. I explained that was done within 30 days. We did call. But your service department wanted another $120 when they didn't fix the problem the 1st time. Service Manager tried to walk back the 90 day $120 no fee for 2nd trip.

I explained to Bob Wallace Appliance how do you know this power control board you sent me is good? It quit working after 2 days.
Which they refused to refund me the $135 for the board and refused to wave the $120 service charge to come diagnose the dishwasher.

Do the right thing Bob Wallace Appliance!
Send someone out to Diagnosis the dishwasher since we already paid you $120 and $135 for a power board that worked for 2 days.

Woolsey, I just wanted to tell you how nice the delivery crew was that delivered our refrigerator this morning. They had their work cut out for them getting the old one out and the new one in with such tight spaces. They were pleasant, very careful, knowledgeable, very professional and efficient. They cleaned everything up as they went. It had already started raining and they were very careful you clean their feet each time they came in from outside. (A woman notices those kind of things) They put everything back just like it was. We were very impressed. Thanks, Gwen Dornbos

I called their service dept on a Monday for a service on my washer. I updated my address with the lady and gave her all of the error code info. She told me it would be the following Tues before they could get to me. It would be a $120 service fee. I asked what time, and she told me they’d call before they came. Here we are on Tues, 8 days later, in the afternoon with no call. I just called and spoke with the lady in service who had NO APPT scheduled for me. She could see the notes where I called in, but my address was only 1/2 changed (right street/wrong city & zip) and no tech was scheduled to come out? There was NO APOLOGY, and I was told it would be another WEEK before they could come out. No thank you. I’ll try someone else.

Bob Wallace is the worst customer service company I have dealt with in 20 years. Tim is a joke. He will not return your call. They took my money on a thermador order and after two years they still cannot get me an oven with no expectations of when they can. Save yourself some energy and call Alabama appliance in Birmingham. The owner told me he had the appliances in stock that BWA couldn’t get in two years and he would personally drive them to me on a Saturday. So BWA-two years and no thermador.alabama appliances - less than a week
and every exact SKU delivered!
BWA is horrible. Stay away.or call BWA and ask for Tim. He is not going to call you back anyway.

They had exactly the part I needed for our Samsung dishwasher and at a reasonable price. The service advisor was very helpful and knowledgeable.

We needed a new refrigerator and had a great shopping experience. Delivery was right on time, and they set up everything perfectly including removing our old fridge. Go see Brannon! He’ll take good care of you!

We have been long-time customers (30+ years) at Bob Wallace Appliance in Huntsville. Every appliance in our home was purchased at this store. We've used their service and parts department regularly. When our washer died during Christmas week, I immediately went to BW to purchase a replacement. The salesman was less-than-friendly and inventory was very low. They only had one Speed Queen washer in stock and the salesman didn't seem to care about finding something that would be coming soon or checking inventory at their other location. I realize that supply chain issues are still happening, but the salesman had no desire to try to help me to make a purchase at their store. I went to several other appliance stores to find a washing machine. I was met by friendly and attentive workers at ALL the other stores (specialty appliance stores and big box stores). I am disappointed that Bob Wallace didn't seem to want our business anymore.

We really try not to be hard to please or difficult to deal with, however we have had the absolute worst experience with Bob Wallace Appliances in Huntsville, AL. We purchased our appliance package back in July with expectations our items would be delivered by the 1st week of December at the latest. We surely realize things are hard to get. We’ve experienced it through the entire ”home building” process. However, we have been lied to over and over again and given the run around. We were told one item was on its way on multiple dates through the month of December but we’re told by someone else in the store yesterday that particular item is out of stock and is unsure when they’ll be able to get it. They were paid $12,000 back in July and here it is almost January without our appliances. No one took the time or the initiative to contact us or keep us updated on the delays. We had to call them every time we were expecting the late item and it would never show up. No one there offered to make it right. Yesterday, when we asked for a full refund, as we no longer wished to do business with them, we were given excuse after excuse as to why we would have to wait to get our money back. It’s been a nightmare. On a good note, Sam went today and refused to leave until we had a full refund and that’s exactly what happened. That’s what should have happened yesterday when we drove all the way there the first time. IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS IN THE MARKET FOR APPLIANCES, STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED!

The whole place smelled of heavy fried foods halfway through our visit like someone was eating lunch on the showroom floor. Not all model kitchens full and not a wide variety of appliances. Nothing bespoke at midrange prices, and all midrange items were similar. No double French doors. People sitting at deals instead of helping. Help was, if you need something, ask me, and then walking away. Seems like they cater to repairs and built ins.

You can never reach Parts department on phone. The operator will transfer your call to Parts and it always goes to voicemail. They will neither take your call nor call back if you leave voicemail. You have to physically go into their store to check if they have the part you are looking for. Train your employees in customer service if you want to remain relevant in this business.

I strongly would recommend you buy elsewhere regardless of the price that they are offering. You are pretty much purchasing AS-IS with this place because they will not fix new appliances that are under warranty. My refrigerator (Over $3000) went out after 3 months. I called Bob Wallace and they told me that they do not repair anything to call Whirlpool. After getting the run around, I called the Florence location and they told me that Bob Wallace was dishonest with me, that they in fact DO OFFER SERVICE. I contacted Bob Wallace and they told me they were backed up is why they informed me that they did not do service (NO REASON TO BE DISHONEST). After finally getting whirlpool to send me a compressor, I am sitting here weeks later with still no repair. Whirlpool continues to schedule appliance companies that will not show up to scheduled appointments. Bob Wallace has a service team that they could send out to repair my broken refrigerator, but they refuse to do so. I purchased over $8,000 worth of appliances from them and they refuse to help me! AWFUL! GO ELSEWHERE!

My appliances we delivered broke. I heard ever excuse as to why it was that way except for we will bring you out all new appliances. Talked to another guy and he said the same thing. Looking like this is the Bob Wallace Way.

Bought a bargain microwave; received the same great service and respect as customers buying a kitchen-full of designer appliances. Woolsey was super responsive and helpful; we’ll be back for the next big purchase.
