Providence Family Medicine Center - Anchorage

Currently been on hold for the past 32 minutes, which is totally normal for this place. I love my doc, she does listen and tries to find solutions, but the overall extreme length of time waiting to speak with someone, the inflexibility with scheduling and then seeing just the same copy/paste responses on here, I cant give any higher then a 2*. Hopefully I get a different response then the 5 people below me, but I doubt it.

Trying to reach someone by phone is really challenging, I am trying to resolve a patients issue and have been on hold over 30 minutes.

Been going to this clinic for 18 years. It has become one of the most incompetent medical establishments I have experienced. From not reading test results correctly to waiting for hours to make a appt. I waited 45 minutes on zoom for a appt I had for 2 months. Sad to see such a decline.

Many times I have called and waited 15-20 min without anyone ever answering the phone I usually give up without making an appointment.

This is the worst place for phone call appointments. There is no one picking up the phone over hours of waiting. If you want to schedule appointments over the phone then please know that you will never get one.

I had a phone visit with a doctor on Friday, where she re filled pain medication I needed badly after wisdom teeth surgery. When I go to the pharmacy, they said the doctor never sent the request. They lied to me, and they left me in pain. Please, pick a better primary care office. Do yourself a favor

This is the place where you can only make an appointment online or by having to physically drive to the clinic. I have been on hold for 45 minutes at a time and finally just gave up. I've been hung up on as well by someone who works there not wanting to answer the calls. I am a teacher and don't get off until after 4 most days and the online scheduling doesn't have any appointments for after 4 pm. Very unprofessional business. I give a 2 for this as this is the most frustrating experience is not being able to get a hold of your doctors office.

My overall experience with Family Practice is good. Waits are short and the staff are great. The problem is that you only get 20 mins.with the doctor! Much too short for a clinic whose motto is " patient centered medicine". I cannot recommend this clinic because of this shortcoming.

Oct. 1-2019 my wife got me a appointment with Dr. MCalister for my yearly
physical on Oct. 17-2019 at 8: 00 AM any way he told his staff to contact me
for Blood Test to have done on Oct. 8-2019. Well any way my Wife just found
out today 10-14-19. I have been going to Providence for years and I have noticed in 4 or 5 years the people working there are really not doing their job very lax on everything I see them do. Thank You for your Time.

The doctors are good but the Scheduling & Timing are Off. Makes it Tough as a Patient to deal with them.

I've called five separate times over the past week and each call has made me hold for at least 20 minutes. The last time I called I hung up after it hit 30 minutes. I have yet to get ahold of someone.

Currently holding for 23: 30 minutes. Don't bother with this garbage place.

They are terrible at answering the phone! I have been on hold for over 15 minutes! Don't recommend going to them for anything!

I used to go here for myself and my kids. If your up for long waits and rude staff then this is the right place to go. RIDICULOUS! Oh and it doesn’t matter if you check in early, yeah no they still take their time to see you.

I have waited for 45 minutes without the Dr. Harvey showed up. They told they will not charged me for the visit and they will just reschedule me for another appointment. It’s not about the money it is the time wasted and the thought that I will be checked. Felt so disappointed.

I waited while the check in clerks ignored me. They try to avoid eye contact so they don’t have the assist you. It is so rude. The only person who acknowledged me was the clerk who already was helping another patient.

I called in looking to seek treatment as an uninsured party and they would not inform me of the cost. Hard to understand woman answered said I must come in to register to get information.

I've been trying to set up an appointment with them all afternoon. I've been on hold for a total of 30minutes throughout this process. Two of those time after about 4 minutes someone answered and then hung up on me. If it's this much of a hassle just to set up an appointment (with a wait time 2-3 weeks out) I'm just going to go somewhere else.

The place is dirty and the “doctor” was questionable. Kept having to check with his “supervisor”?

The staff on the yellow team are wonderful! I feel very fortunate to call Dr. Monica Wright my primary physician

Debbie checked me in, she is Awesome! Got seen by Dr. Curren very friendly and very imformative thank you Providence for being the best health center!
