Allure Nail Bar, Washington DC

The prices are fair for what you get. But the quality is severely lacking. My manicure started peeling like it was a week old after only 2 days. The photo I attached is literally 48 hours later. I don’t even work with my hands, so that’s not a reason. Just a really poor job. My pedicure is still going strong but that’s because I don’t wash my feet as often as I wash my hands and my feet are always in closed toed shoes. I spent a total of $45 on a manicure that didn’t even last 2 days. If you can accept that, then this place is for you, but if you’re looking for a high quality, long lasting manicure, go somewhere else.

The technician assigned to me did not know how to polish with gel polish. My nails were painted on the night of 2/2/2024. By the time I bathed the polish was coming off. When I returned promptly at 10am on 2/3/2024, I was told to come back later. UNACCEPTABLE! I was refused a refund. I refused to leave. I do not reside in the area and will not continue to pay for parking. The young lady decided it would be best to service me. Proceeds to tell me I must soak my nails. No ma’am…Don’t have time to soak after being in the salon for 2 hours last night for a failed service. The staff was rude and unkind today. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this salon based upon reviews. I hope my nails sustain this time!

I came here 6: 30pm on a Thursday night. I was told to pay for my services before I even knew if I would receive good service. Two employees were giving me two separate prices for eyebrows and a pedicure (the normal). I notice a Caucasian lady leaving after she was seen and paid before she left not before she got the service done. I hated my pedicure and my birthday is just a few days away! It is so crazy in 2024 some businesses are still being this way. I will not be back to this place which is a neighborhood salon so it was very convenient but I will tell multiple people about what I witnessed today that’s unacceptable. The guy started my toes and couldn’t do a black French tip so then the lady took over to fix it however the service was horrible overall!

So today was my first time going to this nail salon, and it won’t be my last, they most definitely got a new loyal customer, I don’t remember the lady who did my nails, she kinda had a attitude but I didn’t care because I didn’t mind having one with her, other then that she did a great job and I’ll be going back

I got a gel manicure from here that was not great. Within 2 days of getting it, the nail polish on my right thumb chipped and within 6 days, multiple fingers began to completely peel off. The corners of my nail were not properly sealed. Don’t waste your money here

The prices are competitive for the services, which are consistently top notch. The salon's commitment to using environmentally friendly practices is commendable. Best salon ever! My nails would always chip and break after a week of having them done at all of the other salons. Great experience at Allure Nail Bar today for some self-care! Does fantastic with nail art all very nice people! The staff members are skilled in nail buffing and polishing, leaving your nails with a healthy and natural shine. The salon is beautiful and very clean. Allure Nail Bar is my go-to for a great manicure. I always go here for manis and pedis. I always feel great and look great.

I always get my nails and toes done here the staff is great and polite the facility is clean. This is what a nail salon experience is supposed to be like! This place is very clean And they focus on the customers needs and wants. The salon has a team of skilled and experienced professionals who are passionate about their craft. Love Allure Nail Bar and this salon would be my new position. Associates do excellent work on both medi and pedi.

Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Their prices are fair for the area, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful in making service selections. I've had nothing but positive experiences at Allure Nail Bar! My gel nails look natural and nail tech did not hurt me once.

My partner went to this salon to get a a simple service done, just taking off current SNS and a gel manicure. She was upsold to with all the associates giggling about because she couldn’t understand and was getting overwhelmed to the point she felt so uncomfortable as to ask me to speak to her manicurist and explain what she wanted in Vietnamese. Immediately after I spoke, the shop fell silent and her nails were done. As a first generation Vietnamese American, I’m ashamed to think a class of people who know what it’s like to deal with a language barrier weaponise that same barrier to use on another individual. This is shameful and unacceptable.
