V Nails & Spa reviews
16I got my eyebrows done here a month ago and I've had this bacterial infection on my eyelid since then. I've been to the ER and since it's on my eyelid I can't even use a steroid cream because it could cause glaucoma. So I have to walk around DC looking like I've been punched in the eye until it heals on its own and it's not getting any better. For sanitation reasons DO NOT GO HERE!
Affordable, clean, efficient, nice, and quiet—what more do you want? (Also much more likely to take your walk-in faster than Allure’s walk-in or appointment!)
I walked in for service with my African American friend. A lady came to do his manicure/pedicure right after he sat on the chair a white man walked in my friend was told you must wait until the white man that came after him was serviced. The racial dynamics/optics are troubling. My friend left without the service!
I got a staph infection on my feet, from this place. I reported it to the DOH CosComplaints line. I cannot believe this. This is so nasty.
I kid you not these reviews are not lies! I thought everyone was being dramatic worse place ever! Recently moved to the city and wanted to try something new it was not for me
I'm VERY disappointed with this place.
I've been coming to this business for a long time. The Tech I've been seeing will schedule me and forget about our appointment or I'll come in and she's delayed up to an hour late. Tracy is a HORRIBLY irresponsible Tech who does not value her clients.
I'm looking for a new nail shop!
Tracy is my girl! She’s amazing. Took my horrible liquid gel manicure mess up from another salon and turned it into the most beautiful perfectly shaped manicure. I’ve also gotten a pedicure here and it was great!
My favorite nail spot in DC. They are courteous, attentive and very clean. I’m always satisfied with my nails as well as my pedicures.
The guy there kept filing down my nail bed until it hurt. I literally had to keep pulling my fingers away from him because my nail bed was getting so sensitive. I went in to get two nails fixed and a polish change which somehow took two hours to do. The fake nails lasted 3 days before they started to break and I discovered that my pinky nail has a fungus growing underneath it. I won’t be back to get my nails done ever. The staff is very friendly but it’s not worth getting your nail bed destroyed and getting a fungus
This nail salon gets 2 stars for customer service. I have never known a nail salon to turn down service as simple as a pedicure on one occasion or eyebrow waxing on another a hour before closing. The man greeting customers in front is very rude and quickly tells customers to come back later! I have decided to never return to this establishment! Cust
I'm not really a complainer, but I'm so ticked that I had to leave a review. I think the place is under new management and I'm not sure that's a good thing. Went today for a full set and pedicure. It was terrible! The polish was so thick and I told him several times it was too thick. My full set is not good as well because so many ridges left underneath, that I will have to cover them until I get a new set. In their defense, one employee did step in and repainted my fingernails.but my toes are still damp after 5 hours.
I try many nails salon, this one is just my favorite of DC. Manicure and pedicure. Some employee can be slower than usual but you can ask to change person everytime or stay with the same person.
I wanted a French manicure. While the manicure itself was OK (had an air bubble on one nail right at the white border which looked bad), I could not understand my nail tech at all. She kept saying something every few minutes but I just stared at her blankly, I had to ask her to repeat 3 or 4 times, and I finally realized she was trying to upsell me to a wax treatment of some kind. I agreed just to end the struggle. Also fox news was on the TV the whole time which was very irritating. So great job guys, you got an extra 10 bucks off me and I will never be coming back
I asked for my toes to match my nails I thought the color would match it was a dip but it turned out the nails were bad and not pink didn't like it very much didn't even suggest that I change the color if I go back I won't get a dip snacks that is bad with that
The actual manicure experience was fine, however the nail dryer was set too warm which caused the nail polish to shift away from my cuticles and caused a ripple/wrinkling effect on my nails. I wish I would have realized it sooner and hope they fix the dryer or set it to a cooler setting. Not worth the money because my nails wouldn't dry even after 15 minutes and got messed up after I left. The staff is very friendly and quick, though.
