Gracie Barra Rockledge Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Self Defense

We have been attending this Gracie Barra for about 6 months now. We have two children who attend and have recently started competitions. We absolutely love the staff and it has become a second home for our kids. They have progressed so quickly. The unlimited class option is amazing. Definitely would recommend.

The staff is great and extremely welcoming. We never have had any experience with martial arts and now we really feel like we are a part of the family. Our children are thriving and it’s really pushed our children to step outside of their comfort zone and learn something new.

Great enviroment for kids and adults! Professor and coaches are knowledge and kind. My grandson loves to practice Jiu-Jitsu here!

I’m a complete beginner and tried a free class last night. I felt safe and encouraged, Coach Lily was training with me and helping me throughout the class. If I was able to I’d join, unfortunately it doesn’t fit into my budget for now. I’ll definitely be back someday!

Visit and you’ll know why the Gracie Barra motto is “Jiu Jitsu For Everyone”. My 14 year old son has been going for 2 years and he really enjoys it. I got tired of just sitting and watching him enjoy himself. So at 56 years old, with back problems because of my weight, I decided to give it a try. One year later I’m healthier both physically and mentally. My son and I now have a great time training together! Professor Alex is a super knowledgeable and patient instructor.

Coach Lilly is really polite & sweet! Professor Alex is highly informative on techniques. Professor Alex is our Sensei. Our Sensei goes step by step basis on all techniques to better show the ins & outs of each technique thoroughly for a complete understanding of a throw, sweep, submission or what is being taught during classes. I highly recommend training Jiu Jitsu because it incorporates Judo with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for a better overall game & experience of both art forms.

We love Gracie Barra Rockledge! My daughter has been a student for almost a year now and she loves it. It's the only thing she has stuck with! The instructors are fun, but also teach them discipline and make sure they are respectful and paying attention in class! My 2 year old begs me to go on the mat every time we come. She can't wait to go out as soon as she is 3 years old.

The coaches and people are amazing! The gym is clean and can be useless for beginners or experts!

Coach Jackie is amazing, he has a lot of patience with all of the kids. Coach Lilly is very friendly and treats all the kids as if they were her own.

Great School! Coaches are always attentive and ensure students are practicing techniques learned in class correctly. The atmosphere of the school is very positive and makes for a very good learning environment. If you’re considering Jiu-Jitsu don’t hesitate to come in.

Traveling with my two daughters who train in GB Long Beach, Coach Jackie and the student coaches were super nice and welcoming to my family. They had a fun time learning new take down skills and sparring with their students. I definitely would recommend this jiu-jitsu gym if you're in the area. Thanks again GB Rockledge!
