Outcast Bait & Tackle, Pensacola FL

Growing up in South Florida when you headed to Everglades National Park for backcountry Reds and Snook or ventured down A1A through the Keys to hook up on migrating Tarpon we had 2 great tackle shops that all anglers stopped at regardless of targeted species. Outcast Bait & Tackle in Pensacola is that same tackle shop that I remember growing up. It reminds me of the old hardware stores where you could find the unique screw or nut hanging up that nobody else carried. Outcast has you covered for all species from live bait to artificial, all rigs and set ups. Do yourself a favor and stop by to see these guys.

Fun shopping experience. We got a bunch of goodies and the workers they had for the sale were very helpful, friendly and patient.

Great selection of all types of fishing equipment and clothing. Made it there during annual sale. Great prices on nearly the entire inventory. Staff was great and went to extraordinary lengths to find the exact product I needed. Bait, tackle and everything else needed for a great fishing trip.

Recently moved to Pensacola with the intention of getting set-up to start salt water fishing again. It’s been a while and I know things have changed in the industry. I try to shop locally to support small and local business and avoid the big name/big box stores. Well, I was wrong this time around. I had every intention of spending some money here to get set-up right, but it seemed as if my questions were a nuisance and they had “better” things to do. I get it, they probably cater to big time fishing charters and repeat customers but it sure would have been nice to call a place like that with those supplies on demand in hand my go to store. It seemed that the older gentleman which was either the owner or manager was most annoyed that I was taking time away from his employees. The guy at the counter was the most helpful, but you could tell every time I asked a question it was an issue. Over all though, they had everything you would need to land big fish. Rating is strictly based on experience and how expectations were met.

This place is amazing and very helpful. They have a fantastic selection of tackle and rods as well as local advice for the Pensacola area. They also have an abundance of fishing and boating accessories. Very well managed and employed. The live shrimp and crabs are always in great shape. Highly recommend if you are going out for the day to stop by and get some gear before heading out.

Good place to go counter people know what you looking for seem to give you a little bit of help that's more you get most places but they do a pretty good job of helping you out and getting you out the door was what you need to fish with

Awesome place, friendly staff. I have been to all the other shops around and this is the best fit for me. For some reason the other shops have horribly rude staff. This one is great, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

I read a lot of reviews about how friendly and attentive the staff always are before I came in, and was pretty disappointed. The staff could've cared less that I was there, any questions were begrudgingly answered as quickly as possible, and when I was surprised by how high my total was, and inquired as to what had been the cause (because something was improperly stocked under the wrong price point) another associate power walked by assertively staying "the price it scans is the price it IS! " as if I was trying to haggle the price.
Lastly, I asked about a place to fish that can't be much more than a mile from the store's location, Civitan park I believe it's called, and was told that he'd never heard of it. Not impressed, but their doesnt seem to be much competition, so I guess they're a big fish in a small pond, and can act accordingly.

Awesome staff. Got fresh mackerel and live shrimps for bait. They have everything you can need.
