I have used RP funding when purchasing my home and refinancing it 1 and a half years ago. I wanted to try to refinance now but their customer service has really declined and it is sad. This used to be a good company but no longer. I have called numerous times over the last week and a half and cannot get in touch with a loan officer. I have been told that I would get called back numerous times and I have never gotten called back. Today I called and I told the representative that I would like to be put in contact with a different loan officer because my loan officer Ralph Martinez and his operations manager Francesca were not returning my calls and getting back with me. After waiting 30 minutes on hold the representative Anna apologized but said she could not get me in touch with anyone who could switch me to another loan officer and that someone would have to call me back.

Can I give it less then 1 star?

This company is the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. Initial process was terrible. No support. Have to deal with 5-6 different people. Now hassled on insurance. They took out their own policy even though they had mine in Hand. Charges 4x cost of my insurance.

STAY AWAY IT'S A SCAM COMPANY

"" Negative " -5 " Stars "" Most have nothing good to say about this company "RP Funding" Stinks! I can smell the GREED from here, consistant complaining about insurance coverages, oh it's not enough, it don't look right, boo hoo, were going to place extremely high $$$ Force Placed Coverage on you, better watch out. Robbie found a loop-hole to collect millions upon millions of interest money in his pocket from millions of homeowners while having his departments beat you out of as much money as possible, do yourself a favor and fing a "REAL" Mortgage Company to do business with, A 2.2 Rating, should be more like 0.2 Rating.together homeowners can put him "Out of Business" Was forced to give 1 star for negative feedback

All the negative feedback I see from people about RP funding. I for one cannot agree, I went to them 5 years ago they took excellent care of my refinance got me a great deal paid my closing cost everything was in black and white easy to understand easy process. And anyone I've sent to them agreed and now they even do new home financing and help you find a home which is something new. They did not sell my mortgage they are carrying my mortgage I pay them every month

No transparency whatsoever on their rate structure. Trying to get more information to shop for a lender, don't bother with RP Funding. First, their website does not provide any information about the rates or fees, mere generalizations. A call to get the information will lead you to having to provide all of your information. Once you get past the initial intake person, a "broker" (or some such person) is then brought on the line. When I stated I would like to see their current rates and fees, he advised he could not provided information without running my credit. Obviously, I'm not going to bother with yet another institution pulling a hard check on my credit when they don't need it. I know what my credit score is, what the loan amount will be, and LTV, but if they can't provide me their rate/fee information by trusting what I tell them, then that's not a good way to start off doing business. I would not recommend this company based on how they've set up their intake process to capture as much information about YOU without a corresponding disclosure from THEM about THEIR information. You see how that works? Take, take, take, and no reciprocity. Terrible business model.

What a joke of a company. Called waited on hold for a loan officer for 15 min. This was an initial call so it’s my first impression. I get a guy named James W@“/;&. Don’t want to put him fully out there. Talked for 2 min and then he started to argue with me when I told him I had an FHA loan with no more PMI. He said that’s impossible and that PMI is life of loan. After 5 min of back and forth about how he is a loan officer for 30 years and has done everything concerning a loan and that it is impossible to remove PMI on an fha loan. I advised prior for June 2013 PMI would be removed from the loan once the loan hit 20% equity from original loan to value.still didnot believe me i requested another loan officer that knew what they were talking about and he kept calling me a liar. So i hung up lol. For 30 years of experience.customer service is not his strong point. As a first impression for this company thanks but no thanks I’ll pay closing costs somewhere else and be treated with RESPECT.and FYI i have been in the mortgage business for 15+ years.pay me and I’ll do training for your folks in customer service and sales

This company handled processing my refinance well but since then all of my experiences getting services has been horrible. They are happy to get your loan but they suck at followup. Do business somewhere else, world class processing the loan, third world afterwards! 1 star is way too generous!

Many reviews here are people that claim they have so much business experience and yet have NEVER done business with this company? Yet, these NON-CUSTOMERS are giving this company horrible 1 star reviews! How would you like it if I simply heard an ad or saw a FB post by one of you and didn't like the way you looked, so I left you a horrible review? Get a life people- you know who, I'm referring to.

I can literally say that this is the worst company that I have ever done business with. Take a look at these reviews and also on the Better Business Bureau website before getting involved with this company, if you can help it. Their customer service is a joke. There is no one empowered enough to help anyone resolve an issue. We have been trying to resolve a problem that they caused for over 2 years now.

Had loan for approx 5 yrs. They are true to their word no closing costs (fees exist but much better than all competitors) Saved us over 9K in closing costs.

In the beginning, we had escrow payment dispersion issues that got fixed with a phone call for the 1st and 2nd year. This last year I have seen their service become top notch no more escrow issues, website is useful to track status of these payments. We are happy to reccomend.

I didn’t actually use RP Funding for my ReFi but I did get a quote from them and the loan officer was very responsive. I’m mainly leaving this review because even though they weren’t able to beat a rate I had from another lender they DID make good on their policy to pay you $1,000 if they can’t beat a competitor. The RP Funding LO was actually the one who made me aware of this policy during the process of getting a quote from them.
I met all the requirements for the $1,000 challenge, submitted my documents after I closed with the other lender and just got my $1,000check from them yesterday. Surprisingly painless process (to be honest I was expecting them to disqualify me on some technicality but they did not).

I’ll check with them again next time I need a loan or Refi.

Kinda interesting when you see 5 star reviews with no likes while all the poor ratings are getting the actual experienced responses! No need to say more Mr. "I'll pay all your closing costs". Well, I guess this company works for free or charges you more points on the back end. #'s don't lie Robbie.

Went to refinance in February and was told That I would not be putting any money down and that the $500 appraisal cost that I paid for will come back to me now today they let me know I have to come up with $4000 at closing. Total bunch of lies I shouldn't even give them a one but of course you have to give them something in order for the review to go through. Now they're telling me I should wait exactly 366 days because my appraisal is no good due to the law for exactly one year! Why was that not told to begin with? Lies lies and more lies do not deal with Melvin Kelly he totally does not know what he is talking about and only wants his money. So now they're telling me to wait until May and again I'll probably sit there and hear more lies after lies. I am trusting this person named Megan Whitney so we'll see what she has to bring. I think the owner should be involved because his recordings when you're on hold is a bunch of lies lies and more lies.

Spoke with loan specialist “joe” regarding refinancing. He was so rude and obnoxious, I had to hang up on him. Treated me like an idiot that has no idea what I’m talking about. I don’t write reviews normally, but this was such horrible service, I felt I had to.

I think given some of these reviews, they are rather confused about the process RP offers. Like the one that states they've never heard of buyer covering closing. That's typical in a seller's market. We've had nothing but good experiences with them. Truly no closing, competitive rates and the workers came to the home to sign docs. We used them 7 years ago to cash out refi to redo our entire pool area with no hassle, and again last year (but still well under our equity value with no pressure to take ALL the cash out like many others) to cover a divorce.

Nothing but good experiences, fast and easy process.
