Dr. Scott performed a distal radius fracture surgery on me this summer after I fell off an electric scooter. He placed a plate and six screws. At my six week re-eval appointment I showed him an area on the back of my arm that was becoming more painful than the fracture site. My occupational therapist thought this was a “trigger point” that occurred after surgery from not using muscles while in a cast.

He palpated the area. Looked at my x-rays on his laptop. He did not review x-rays with me or show me the x-rays. He did not address my concern. He just told me to continue working with my occupational therapist. He didn’t seem worried at all. After he left the room I asked for my x-rays to take to my occupational therapy appointment the next day.

Upon reviewing the x-rays at home it was quite clear what was causing the pain. An untrained eye could tell that the screws were protruding out of my bone on the other side of my arm… Dorsal cortex screw protrusion. I was in shock! He in no way let me know that this could be the problem. Even though I specifically asked him about it. I feel the omission of information can be just as harmful as lying.

I made an appointment with another surgeon for a second opinion. He confirmed that it was dorsal cortex screw protrusion causing the pain. This can lead to tendinitis and a ruptured tendon. I will have to have another surgery 10 weeks post original surgery date to remove screws and plate with the surgeon who gave me a second opinion.

I understand that surgeries can go wrong. We are all human. Yes, I am frustrated with an undesirable outcome that lead to pain and delayed healing, but I’m more frustrated and disappointed in how he handled the situation. Dr. Scott, PLEASE be upfront and honest with your patients.

Staff is always friendly. Dr. Scott has been very patient with me and answered all my questions and concerns. I have been seeing him for a very serious elbow injury and he even quickly responds to my therapist l.

Was expecting to see dr. Not PA but that’s okay. Your schedule office is extremely difficult to get hold of and doesn’t return calls.

Dr. Scott was the Orthopedic Surgeon, that did the surgery on my right Clavicle after I had a very bad Motorcycle accident. He was easy to talk to & work with during my hospital stay & my followup appointments. Highly recommended if you have any orthopedic issues that you need addressed/ fixed!

Got my foot caught in a mower. I was told to not change the bandages until i see Dr.scott.they did not answer on friday they did take a call Monday to get my insurance and then to transfer me to someone in scheduling, they did not answer. I left yet another voice mail and never recieved a call back. The hospital then called me saying i needed to set the appointment and called me to help.they called and again got voice mail. There is absolutely no reason to not answer a phone call or at least not respond to voicemails. I was taking calls for my job in the ER there is zero excuse for this.

I had been referred to Dr. Scott by an ER for a potential broken ankle/foot. I was in a splint and they told me to follow up and make an appointment. I called and left a message on Monday morning. It is now Thursday night, I have called well over 10 times trying to reach someone to schedule to get my splint off and still no return phone call or have someone pick up the phone. I finally had to go to my primary care doctor and get another referral for a different ortho and waste money on a copay just for a new referral. Don’t waste your time, get a different referral. Answering the phone/calling people back isn’t hard.

We were very unhappy with Dr. Scott! He treated my 98 year old Mother like she was some kind of idiot. She is very much a smart and intelligent and smart woman. It seemed like we were beneath him! Due to this we will not be returning for the follow up appointment. Thank You

I don't know if this is a new set up for Dr Scott, but I share the same feelings as some of the other reviewers. I don't feel like my concerns and questions were thoroughly answered at all (even rephrasing the same question didn't help). In all of the follow up appointments, Dr Scott never once touched my foot or even asked me to remove my coverings. I had to initiate taking off my wrap for him to actually look at my ankle. I also had the same problem with the return note for work. They wanted me to tell them what to write and when to go back to work. I would not recommend this Dr.

Great doctor and staff. I was from out of state and was treated with respect and the doctor and staff worked with me to get me back home 400 miles away.

Excellent in the emergency room. I was in a motorcycle crash and Dr. Brandon Scott fixed me up great. Follow up visits with him went extremely well, I couldn't pick a better orthopaedic trauma doctor if I was awake. Thank you and your team) Speaking of team, the woman that follows Brandon around, Wow. Talk about popping a bone, all day long
