City Roots Coffee Bar, Baton Rouge LA

I buy my beans here and make my own mocha at home. They do a good job roasting and the atmosphere seems nice. The last few times I've gone, they haven't had medium roast available in small bags which is weird, since they have giant 5lb bags of it piled up.
Their hours of operation are kinda weird, too.

Loved the interior tremendously! The coffee was also very delicious. The stuffs are great too. Would love to visit this again.

Literally the best coffee in town! Victoria and Rachel brightened my morning with a delicious cappuccino and warm blueberry muffin today! The atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, the coffee really cant be matched anywhere else in town!

I was visiting from out of state so not likely to return but if I were local I would revisit. Staff was very friendly and got my order in and out quickly. Hot chai was quite tasty. Loved the outdoor seating option. Overall was a good experience.

One of my favorite coffee spots in town! Nice, straightforward roasts and clean drips. If I want a good cup of joe, City Roots is where I’ll go.

Cool area but the staff seemed annoyed by everyone and everything. Maybe keep the wifi password visible to avoid unnecessary questions. The ramen spot next door has way too much trash so there's that.

Coffee shop isolated in the north side electric depot. Craft coffee well prepared in a renovated industrial space. Unique selection of coffees. 4-6 baked good options with some more breakfast sustenance options.

The coffee was delicious! I also had the quiche, yum! The service was kind and atmosphere calm and clean.

Everything was perfect from the service to drinks and food. The overall vibe was comforting and cool.

I really enjoy stopping by here in the morning. Their coffee is always strong, and it's one of the best vanilla latte's I've ever had. Pastries are great and fresh baked by a lovely local! Location is really cool, and nice outside seating options are available. Their employees are friendly, as well as helpful, and it's my go-to chill, work, and coffee meet-up spot.

Great atmosphere and amazing coffee. Staff are always friendly and helpful! I like studying here or hanging out with a friend! It can get louder here than other study spots but it's a great coffee shop.

The coffee at the bar is good and the atmosphere is nice! With options inside and outside, it's a good place to work or have a 1: 1 meeting. However, I wasn't happy with the coffee beans that I purchased for home. It was labeled as a light roast, but, when I opened the bag, it was a dark roast, if not over-roasted. The taste wasn't good.

Their milkshakes are super delicious! If you don't like super coffee-tasting drinks, I would recommend sticking with the milkshakes, because their coffee is intense. Not a fan of the regular matcha latte-it tasted like drinking straight powdered matcha-but that's because I'm addicted to sweets. I'm sure others who like unsweet matcha drinks would love it. Service is always fantastic too, and there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. Great little place to come chill or work on your computer.

Went here based on the great reviews. We got the cortado, cappuccino, and shakerito. The cortado and cappuccino were both slightly bitter tasting, which is not what I would expect from such a highly rated coffee shop. The shakerito was very sweet (3 kinds of sugar). It was hard to taste the coffee with all the sweetness. Would not visit again.
