To start off I’ll start by saying thank you to EVERYONE at the 160 Driving Academy for helping get my CDL. Shout out to all the workers helping me out and giving me effective criticism to help me not only get my CDL but also making me a better driver. Thank you to David, LC, Keyon, Kyle, Tom, Penny, Jacob, Erin, Chelsea, Monica and Conner!

This place was great! Awesome instructors and awesome lead Tom, and Chelsea was great too! The instructors Kyle, Jake, Penny, Dave, Keyon, Erin and LC will all help you get to where you need to be to get your CDL.

There where a lot of up and downs do to being so short but so thankful for everyone coming together and helping me get all the paperwork to get my Pedal Extend approved and finally getting to test!

My experience here was fantastic, being greeted by Chelsea and Monica was a fantastic experience and a good way to get the day started. Instructors were hands on and very engaging, anyone looking for their cdl should come here.

It was great definitely a lot of learning. Nate and lc taught me a lot didn't steer me wrong every instructor was great to learn from

I don't normally leave reviews but 160 deserves it. First, if you go in with an open mind and want to learn you will have no problems passing your state exam. I aced my state exam today and I give FULL credit to all the instructors. They are extremely knowledgeable and do everything they can to prepare you. Use your time wisely, it can be busy at times and don't waste time just standing around. I found if you ever had problems or questions you could always approach an instructor and they will take the time to give you the help your looking for. If your not sure.ask questions! I consider everyone there my second family now. They are absolutely fantastic. Shout out to my bro's Nate, Dustin and Kyle who taught me a LOT and gave me the skills I needed to breeze through the state exam. You guys are awesome!

Could not give answers over phone! Only wanted an inperson interview from a school close to an hour away from me! No phone interviews. Couldn't give me a direct number the number listed for specific school still sends you to a call room. Even the person who called me even said I don't know why we don't have a direct line. I even got hung up on when I was getting frustrated because they couldn't answer the questions I had even when I requested them to have a representative from specific school call me someone from the call center still called me!

I came in for an interview last week & before I could even meet the branch manager I heard her say NOT MY MONKEYS, not my circus. I didn’t even want to meet anymore for the fact that I am African American

Look, you’re either going to get it or you’re not how much can they really teach you? This is a great school with the hands-down, best instructors they give you the tools but you gotta use them. You can’t come in here just thinking it’s going to be easy put in the work and you will be successful here.

Very unorganized. LOTS of hours standing around in the yard without getting into driver's seat. New guy Tom is a former Marine, and tries to run the yard like boot camp. Don't get on his bad side, bcuz you won't get any more help at all. Kiss his a$$ and you'll be fine.
Other instructors were amazing, too bad their hands are tied. Erin is ill tempered, foul mouthed, and a twin to Tom, minus the military.

Go to 160 Saginaw instead! MUCH better school! CARING, cohesive and congenial staff! Saginaw school genuinely cares about their students, and works tirelessly with them! GO SAGINAW!?

It's actually amazing. The instructors are both very hands on and available to assist on having a better understanding. They make understanding things easy and very simple. I recommend this school to anyone looking to get certified.

I graduated 160 Driving Academy of Flint today (4/18/23) and I couldn't have been happier with this training facility. I successfully completed their Class A CDL training program with flying colors. The instructors were all fantastic! However, I want to especially say that the two instructors I would highly recommend are Penny & Keyon. From the very beginning, I knew Penny was someone I needed to latch onto. Penny was very professional and patient, and extremely knowledgeable of all faucets of driving truck. Penny took me under her wing, and made sure I was where I needed to be. The 160 Driving Academy would be nothing without their dedicated instructors, especially Penny & Keyon. Keyon was truly remarkable when it came to maneuvers as was Penny. Both of them taught me essential techniques that made it possible for me to handle maneuvering with confidence and precision. Keyon was also very patient and an all around great guy to converse with when waiting to get behind the wheel. Tom (yard leader) is an exceptional coordinator and very knowledgeable as well. Aaron is also someone to cling onto, especially when it comes to learning the 90 degree maneuver. Great Academy, awesome people, and good vibes, unconditional support; and honestly, hands down the best Driving Academy out there! Highly recommend it! Take my word for it! This next chapter of my life will be one for the books! Thanks again 160! I'm blessed!:)
