Bitter Tom's Distillery, Lake Orion MI

Took their Mardi Gras / Galentines cocktail making class. It was a wonderful event. We had a great time and would do it again for the Bourbon cocktail class.

Great burgers and atmosphere. The whiskey was young and therefore a little rough, but that's to be expected for it's own distillery.

Went in with another couple on a Saturday night around 5: 45pm. Sat down right away. Our server (wished I remembered her name - it was unique) ; she was amazing! Knew the menu, friendly and recommended dishes that we all liked. We will be back!:)

Usually a good experience but the waitress crop dusted us right after dropping the drinks off. Killed the mood

The brussel sprouts were amazing! Moscow Mule for happy hour was really good too I ordered the beef s p e a t z l e? Didn't care for the noodles! Would not order that again everything else looked amazing!

We had great service and delicious food. The temperature outside was in single digits, and the restaurant was kept nice and warm. I ordered my burger without the bun, and the cook made a nice lettuce bun for me. We'll be back.

We go hear a lot, I enjoy the old fashioned's and my wife (who barely drinks) likes the mules. We even bring our three little girls and the kids menu is a real good value, lots of food, fruit even!

Comfortable inviting atmosphere. Excellent service. Food was served after a very reasonable amount of time. Waitress was wonderful.

Good quality is excellent their burgers and carne asada tacos are a favorite as are the tachos, a must try if you haven't hadv then, think nachos meeting tater tots. Also love their sweet potato fries.

Bitter Tom's is a must go to place where the people working there are phenominal. Megan and Te were the best bartenders I have seen in a very long time. They were friendly and talkative, and they let me order Christmas drinks that are not on the menu yet.the sugar cookie Christmas drink was amazing! I absolutely loved that drink. Megan and Te were entertaining and very fun to talk to.

Wide variety of a cocktail menu, our server was friendly and they had a great atmosphere! Definitely can't wait to return and try more!

Exceeded expectations, terrific place for casual date or small gathering. The wife ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup and was pleasantly pleased with portion and price. I ordered the steak tacos which were terrific. Anytime the waitress asks how you want the steak cooked for tacos it’s going to be good. Overall superb food quality at fantastic prices. Drink list is off the hook but wife would like to have seen larger Vino selection. It was a Saturday night but waitress took a little long to greet after sitting.

Our family of 6 went here after for a Sunday dinner and it was perfect! Every dinner was excellent and the sercice was great!
I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Really cool, trendy place in downtown Lake Orion on the banks of Paint Creek. When the qeather is nice the outside searing area is a fantastic setting. The menu is extensive with a lot of unique items mixed with traditional favorites. The drink menu is huge! We had great service on our visit and enjoyed seeing familiar faces from LO!

Recently my wife and I popped into Bitter Tom's for a late lunch while in the area. We were seated out on the patio along the river, and the atmosphere of that was great. The service was a little slow at first. Took our server quite a long time to get to us while she settled bills for a large table, and bus several other tables. Meanwhile other people who came in after us had all settled in with apps and drinks while we sat waiting. Our server eventually came and took our drink and food orders. My wife had the salmon salad which she loved. I had the BOB burger which I ordered med rare, and it came to me well done. It was still OK, a little dry but edible. Other than that we will be back again I'm sure.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. The service was also excellent. Bitter Tom's is a great date night spot!

I had the best steak of my life at Bitter Toms in 2022. I went back tonight and ordered the same thing and the food presentation and flavor were not nearly as good. Kind of felt like a filet you will get at any restaurant. Will go back, but probably wont be ordering the filet any longer because it’s no longer anything special. Totchos are still on point and they do have the absolute best cosmos around. Posting a pic of my dinner tonight and same steak I ordered in Feb 2022 for comparison. 2022 steak has the compound butter, risotto and green beans. Hoping that they will change back to the way it once was—it was something special! The risotto was amazing too, the fingerling potatoes don’t even come close.

We visited on a Sunday around 12: 30pm. Was pleasantly surprised by how cool the place looked and the ambiance of the outdoor seating. Extensive cocktail list, my husband opted for the bourbon blueberry drink that the server said was the special; it was good. I order the Bloody Mary; it was unfortunately not good. It tasted exactly as a tall glass of nothing but Taco Bell sauce would taste like. I’ve ordered them for years, and this was by far the worst. I tried to power through it but it was just undrinkable. The server who was very young and seemed new, was apologetic and I went with a sparking white wine instead which was great. She indicated that the Bloody Mary was the most returned drink there. I can see why, yikes. My husband ordered the steak frites and truffle fries which were both very good. I ordered the maple glazed salmon which was not very good. It was extremely charred and I couldn’t taste any glaze whatsoever as it just tasted like very very burnt salmon. We would definitely try again as we enjoyed the atmosphere and my husbands items were good overall.
