Guitar Center, Lansing MI

Walked in looking for a good size list of equipment and was assisted by Phil. Not only was he and the entire crew friendly and professional, but Phil was able to answer all of my questions and recommended products that precisely suited my needs. Will be back for our next big purchase for sure!

Employees were great. Amp purchase was great. I left a guitar in moderate condition to get set up because I knew the neck wasn’t totally straight. Their “tech who is only in on Saturdays” made this guitar nearly UNPLAYABLE. Not sure what he did but I had maybe a few buzzy frets and now anything above the 7th fret is either buzzy or completely dead. I thought I was leaving it with a professional- but man I would not trust that guy with evening tuning a guitar after this I can’t fathom what his process looked like. Chill store tho

Looked at DJ controllers for over 20 minutes. Not one sales associate asked if I needed any assistance. They just lost a $1800 sale, taking my business to Amazon.

I stopped into the Lansing store to purchase a guitar tuner, I was shopping by price so I picked up a tuner that was labeled under a tag for $20, when I was being checked out it rang up as 29 something after tax. I took the clerk back to the display where I picked out the tuner and showed him that it was indeed marked as 20 and there are also other tuners still under that tag. I definitely think you should have offered me the $20 price.

Went in with my daughter to look at guitars. Not a single employee spoke to us. One walked right by us and never asked if we needed help or even said HI. We walked out because we felt they didn't want us there.

Polite staff that are straight up about not knowing everything but they have resources. I ordered a Honor 64 chromonica like Stevie Wonder uses. Much cheaper than elderly instruments.

Dee is the guy to go see at the Lansing/East Lansing store! Knowledgeable about the equipment as well as just great friendly customer service! Really appreciate his help and the stores selection of used gear.

Why would you shop here? This is by far the worst place to buy, sell, repair or breathe (always smells like a fish tank). Super unprofessional staff it’s laughable. If you’re looking for quality guitars of any kind go to Elderly instruments in Lansing, if you’re looking for drums of any kind, go to music instruments swap in Pottervile. This place is crustier than a stale wheat bread.

It is a good store and all, but who dfq thought that playing loud radio music in a musical shop is a good idea? I was really exited to visit Guitar Center, because I come from out of the United States, but left kind of disappointed, because of the whole atmosphere. I would advise turning the radio music off completely, but if this is not an option for some reason, at least try to lower the sound.

Lookin at guitars again. Love going to Guitar Center to see what's new and play some amazing instruments.

It's a normal Guitar Center. Wonderful staff as always, and plenty of guitars to try out. They even have pick for you to use! 10/10 store as always!

Just bought the Bose L1 Tower and my god! I was able to beatbox on it before buying it and I sounded The customer service was amazing and I'm so happy with my purchase! Can't wait to get to performing.
