Empanada or Nada reviews
12These are not your typical empanadas. They are baked! Which makes them sooo less greasy which I loved. The taste was great, quick easy service on a Thursday afternoon. I'm sure the weekends are crazy but would definitely go back!
I was never a empanada person but this place changed my mind! I stop by every sunday after church to wnjoy the lentil and potatoe and chicken and cheese! The workers are always super sweet and friendly too so i always make sure to throw a little something in the tip jar! It's a small place, cute for coffee dates and etc. All in all, I love it!
Beyond unprofessional. I walk in with my service dog and I have her ID. Worker is harassing me about what specific task or disability the dog does for me? First legally you cannot ask that- I offered my ID and certification for the dog being a service dog and she refused it but instead, I wanted to ask crazy questions. If you are worried about a service dog, then you are supposed to ask for the ID not personal questions and mumbling so badly I couldn’t even understand half of what she was saying.
Store sells weird empanada inventions that should not be called empanadas. The original type of empanada, the meat one, has no flavor and I ended up wasting $5 for an empanada barely the size of my palm. NO FLAVOR
Fantastic experience - short wait, patient employees and delicious food. We'll be back!
Many empanada options.for vegans too. Some of them were not available when I visited, but the Philly cheese was good.
Tasty and hit the spot. Came in for a snack before dinner and tried the beef and cheese and guava with cheese empanadas. I placed my order to go and it took about 10min to heat and prepare everything. The case was filled with a variety of different flavors. The flavors were good and I liked that it didn't seem greasy and the shell was on the thinner side. Overall would definitely come back to try other flavors!
Delicious empanadas, and a good size, too-not too big. The server was very friendly. I also appreciated that when we ordered some to take home, they came in a bag with heating instructions on it. That was very thoughtful. I plan on returning soon!
We got there and they have empanadas made but they didn't served us, cause it was time to closed. But she was giving empanadas to another costumer!
The eggplant parm empanada is my absolute favorite and nicely paired with the fresh lemonade. Love this spot <3
They are baked instead of fried, a bit small but very tasty depending on the one you get. Chicken and cheese or beef and cheese and spinach and feta are the best. The buffalo chicken could have used some extra buffalo sauce as it was a bit dry. The eggplant was okay and the Nutella and banana didn't have enough Nutella in it.
Options for everyone. Price is reasonable for the area. My kid who is a picky eater loved the chicken and cheese, so I bought 6 more to take home with me.
Customer service could use a bit improvement as they could be a little nicer.
They had two vegan empanada options when I was there. It’s a bit pricy for the size but it’s Montclair so oh well. I walked in and started asking questions right away since I don’t trust the “vegan” label at the non-vegan restaurants, and the cashier was very knowledgeable about the whole vegan thing and even made sure I didn’t get the house sauce that isn’t vegan, and suggested vegan alternatives. The place is quite small but there are tables to sit at! I don’t rate non-vegan places five starts anymore, but this is a good place for a quick snack!
