The team from Leo providing excellent insight and enthusiasm helped me make the decision without a doubt on my new shower and David was a hard worker and did a great job completing the shower! I will recommend Poulin Design any time and if I need future work done, I will reach out!

The whole team was professional and pleasant to work with on our bathroom remodel. The quality of workmanship is excellent as well. I do recommend working with them on any big project.

Poulin Design Center is the home of Solar Pro here in New Mexico. We just completed our install of a whole home solar panel system and are extremely happy with the product but were most impressed with Poulin's customer service throughout the whole process. From our first meeting, through financing and logistics of installation, permits, inspections, and connecting to the grid, Poulin took care of everything AND kept us in the loop every step of the way. The crew who came to our home were outstanding. Friendly, professional and welcoming of our excitement and questions. They left the site cleaner than they found it and all deadlines through the project were easily met. Everything was literally perfect and as stress free as one could ever realistically hope for. The added bonus? When you go to their showroom, you can also visit their Marketplace - which is gorgeous and super fun for shopping and having a fancy coffee drink at their full service espresso bar. One of the best New Mexico True companies bar none. You can just feel that folks like working here. I want to work here! I think a new bathroom is next for our nesting goals. Definitely going to Poulin for that!

This is going to be an honest appraisal from my view of our recently (finally) completed remodel.

Project foreman: 5 stars. Delbert SAVED this project as a reasonable intermediary between the company and us as the customer.

Designer: 2.5 stars. We had to push too hard at times to get Cole to accept the colors and finishes we wanted. He's young and I think he has great potential, but he has to accept when the people he are working with do NOT want something, recently popular or not.

Ordering: 1 star

We first contacted Poulin in late January 2021. We were looking for remodels of both bathrooms and the kitchen, including every floor in the house to be replaced. After some preliminary conversations, we got into their schedule and started working with Cole on our remodel designs in May or June 2021.

We were technically scheduled to start in August 2021, but being delayed by the ongoing supply chain issues didn't come as a total surprise. Sadly, Poulin kept over promising which became more irritating than just telling us when things arrived and what we were still waiting on. We were certain the remodel would start in late September, then October. Everything did finally arrive and was hauled to be stored in the house and the remodel started in the first week of January 2022.

Demo started, then two days later, they opened the boxes holding our new cabinetry. It was the WRONG color, not even close to what we ordered, in fact it was exactly what we said we hated and wouldn't ever want. We stopped work and Cole and his father (boss) came loaded for bear, bringing the items we'd selected to prove to us we were wrong. They looked at the sample, looked at the cabinetry and agreed they didn't match. Nobody had opened a box to check, they had just accepted the label having the same name. Work stopped with one bathroom completely demolished, but thankfully we still had the kitchen and master bath workable.

Within a week, it was discovered that Poulin had outdated samples and the cabinetry company was not to blame. Poulin then made a request that we agreed to and were haunted with the rest of the remodel: They suggested we allow them to install the boxes and change out the doors and exposed surfaces to the color and style we had selected. It logically should have kept the remodel on track. What we didn't count on was the screwups on the orders and installation of doors by a secondary crew.

We had to have doors reordered three times to get things to right, and we finally gave up after the last two doors came in (the end of October) a MUCH lighter shade of stain. We have gotten to the point we just wanted off the merry go round of orders and reinstalls.

The kitchen is beautiful! It was everything I had hoped for. The hallway bathroom as well. The Coretec floors also exactly what we were looking for, but the carpet in the master and guest bedrooms were a lower quality than we would have chosen for ourself. Our fault for telling them we just wanted a berber style carpet without actually choosing it ourselves.

The master bathroom is also beautiful, and the depth of remodel that went on in there makes it truly impressive looking, except for the two mismatching doors on the vanity. Another bit that was partially our fault, and partially Coles was the cabinet we requested. There was room for a good depth linen closet based on the changes that had been made to this room. The cabinet was beautiful, then we opened the doors and started laughing. The cabinet was only one foot deep, completely useless for holding towels. We hadn't specified exactly what we wanted and again Cole ran with what he thought should go in there without asking. A similar reaction for the vanity where we had requested a cabinet with a space for a pull out trashcan with a drawer above it. The version installed had a pull out laundry basket, no drawer. It will work, but not even close to what we wanted.

Would we hire Poulin again? Based on 90% of our interactions with their people, yes we would. But we'd want full cabinet replacements and check designs better.

Your Poulin staff came in VERY aggressive. Not listening to what I was trying to show him or tell him. Pretty much said ‘you can’t afford us’. Not measuring or writing down anything down, but gave us an outrageous price of $120,000 to remodel our kitchen. He was certainly not interested in our remodel.

My project started back in March ending in late June and this kitchen remodel cost me over $50k! Things went smooth at first and the employees were punctual and showed up when they were supposed to. Unfortunately after the work was inspected and deemed complete (that means they were paid) is when other issues arose. To start, the overhead cabinet above the fridge was measured incorrectly therefore had to be replaced: 4 of the cabinet doors were warped and also needed to be replaced and painting for the added soppetts were not included in the initial contract (read all the fine print cuz that’s where I got screwed) so I had to pay an additional $3300.00 to have them painted to include the entire ceiling where other work was done. It took over 2 months to get the replacement cabinets for the pantry and island and I had to reach out to obtain order status. When the work was finally scheduled, the person who was supposed to do the work was replaced without notifying me of the change. The replacement doors for the island ordered were to short and had to be ordered again! The replacement pantry door was warped worse than the first so the old one was reinstalled- I am uncertain if this door will be replaced again. The cabinet above the fridge had to be entirely removed and was replaced with a smaller and different style which after installing, it was found that all the accessory parts were not included. Those parts were reordered for the second time and when Michael (awesome employee) came out to finish the cabinet last week, those were wrong too! Corian countertops were highly recommended and are a nightmare! Countertops scratch easily, are dull and difficult to keep clean- another major mistake! The light in the kitchen was also damaged and replaced. The blind cabinet had rollout drawers installed and also were removed because they were unusable and should never have been recommended in the first place. So now I have 2 rollout drawers and a shelf that I have no idea how to make use of. Using GroupMe was intended to aid in communicating the status of the project to keep the customer informed yet it was not as useful since it wasn’t accessed as promised causing even more delays. I have a request in at this very moment regarding more door replacements and not a soul has bothered to respond. Many promises were made by this company and while most of them were met, some still remain unfulfilled. I’m regretting ever using Poulin and would not recommend giving them your business. Don’t be a patsy like me and be diligent in your research before committing to or giving any company your business and your hard earned money! If I had to do it again, I would go somewhere else but as the saying goes, “hindsight is 20-20”.

This “8 day job” took over 8 months to complete. Time after time, our needs were put off and they continued poor work throughout this remodel. Kevin and Reuben have no sense of urgency after you’ve signed the contract and are “locked in. ” Attached are pictures of their work that they left and we had to follow up with them time after time when they left this mess during the remodel. They do not work weekends and all of our PTO was used up waiting for these people to show up on a weekday. These people do not care about their customers and clearly do not care about the work they leave behind. Do not use this company. They do not answer their phones and they lack professionalism. You’re better off doing the job yourself than using this company.

David Chacon did a great job installing my new walk-in shower. Only 3 days to remove the old bathtub/shower and prep and install the new shower with glass doors. He was courteous, professional and very helpful and informative every step of the way. Highly recommended!

Robert Palacio is a very experienced individual who provided expert and professional ideas and suggestions throughout my project. He also helped with miscellaneous items throughout this process. My project consisted of remodeling a kitchen and two bathrooms. He was very punctual and a hard worker. He took pride in my project and my home. All areas were cleaned at the end of each work day. Those who worked with him were very professional as well. Thanks to Robert Palacio, Robert Fraley, Paul Jr.and Chris.
