Uptown Tea Shop, Waxhaw NC

My daughter introduced me to the Uptown Tea Shop in Waxhaw a couple of months ago by buying some loose leaf tea for me. It wasn’t until yesterday that I went to the shop with her to see for myself. From the outside, you see a house and there are three shops inside. The quality of the decor could be slightly upgraded. The Uptown Tea Shop is in a medium size bedroom which has been converted to a little store.

Here against the walls are nearly every flavor and types of loose leaf teas you can imagine. I typically like herbal teas and caffeine free teas and finding something new was fairly easy. There are also tea accessories such as canisters to keep your teas fresh. The prices I found to be inline with the quality of the teas. The customer service associate was polite, helpful and welcoming; needless to say I will be supporting this small business in the future.

This small and cozy little shop is well worth a visit! They have a great assortment of various teas, the assistant was very sweet and helpful, and the Cinnamon Spice Black Tea is the best tea I’ve ever had!

While in waxhaw, nc stop in to this tea shop. They are like potion mixers. They create unique tea blends only found in this shop. They really know tea so tell them what you like and they will suggest a tea blend for you.

Wonderful little tea shop. So many varieties of loose leaf teas. The shop honor was so helpful and kind. Prices are extremely reasonable. You must get a cup of the house Chai for your drive home. It has some magic in it.

Wonderful tea shop in a very cool little town. The owner was very welcoming and they had a wide assortment of tea blends and varieties. Definitely worth the trip from Charlotte if you are looking for quality tea and would rather shop small.

We had an incredible High Tea experience! Everything is delicious! You’ll crave more for the sandwiches, salad, soup & of course their tea. Plus, the Chef and the owners are very accommodating. Come & visit Uptown Tea Shop!

Do you enjoy drinking delicious things? If so, you must stop by this tea shop! There's such a huge variety of teas to choose from. You can smell them all and choose what speaks to you. The owner is very nice and so knowledgeable. The shop is beautiful and artsy and clean. You won't regret supporting this gem of a locally owned business! Now for the crown jewel of the whole place. Order Dani's fresh chai! I didn't even like chai until I tried hers. I'm not sure what kind of magic is brewed in this cup of comforting hot joy but it's one of it best things I've ever had to drink! In July, I approached Dani, the owner of Uptown Tea Shop to sell “survivor “ bracelets to benefit Carolina Breast Friends. She was able to sell a few and kept her portion of the proceeds, yet after many attempts, she has still not sent me the money for CBF.
