The Piggy BBQ, Walker MN

We stopped here after googling places to eat in Walker. Family friendly BBQ place with amazing food and friendly service. We will visit again if in the Walker area. Worth the stop!

Aubrey was Great experience was awesome and the food was outstanding. Will definitely be back again.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. We had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and potato salad. We also had the pickle medley and cornbread. The meats had good flavor but were pretty dry. Their bbq sauce however is delicious and saves the sandwiches. The pickles helped as well. The stars though were the Mac and cheese, the potato salad and the cornbread. They were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The cornbread is more of a cornbread pudding, it’s very dense but sweet and addictive. If you’re in the area and like BBQ, give this place a try.

A great experience! Food good, unfortunately they were out of shrimp. Service great 2 guys running the place, no wait for service bbq sauces really good. Had rib app and Cesar salad. Fresh ingredients. Only think pork should of Been warm. Wanted shrimp but settled with pok. Will bring more friends from bemidji down soon! Happy hour also on Sun and during the week. A lot of bemidji restaurants not doing that anymore do to economy! Very nice day in Walker! Prices affordable too!

I love their bowls. Getting to choose potatoes or Mac and cheese, the meat, and sauces makes each meal unique. So good!

We loved the sampler platter for our family! Get an extra side of corn bread because it’s just that good!

I'm no expert in northern BBQ but they have all the standards and a very interesting spicy sauce along with a lake and boundary waters vibe. We didn't try the beers.

Ate in for lunch. Not really busy. Waitress was great. Food was fair. Hubbys pulled pork was a dry and bland. Burnt ends were not burnt/even charred with an such overwhelming liquid smoke flavor I couldn't eat it- we burped up the 2 bites we got down for the rest of the night
The cornbread was bar far my favorite.

Probably the worst BBQ I have ever had. Full slab of ribs were tasteless and pink/bloody in the middle, and probably baked in an oven. Definitely not smoked for more than 15 minutes…if that. Only two options for BBQ sauce is disappointing. The coleslaw was like eating salad with no dressing. The mac and cheese was obviously straight out of a plastic bag. The corn bread was not corn bread and it is that sweet corn cake mix out of a bag.

The brisket was dry with no visible smoke ring, the ribs were dry with decent flavor, the coleslaw was completely one dimensional in flavor, the Mac and cheese fair, the baked beans were decent, and the "burnt ends" were not burnt without any visible caramelization and were served immersed in a greasy juice. And the barbecue sauce relies entirely too much on liquid smoke and contributes nothing to enhance the meats natural flavor.

Not worth the money or hype.

First time here, and we will be back. The southwestern salad with fruit salsa and pulled pork was so good! The corn bread with honey was amazing. Brisket was slightly dry. The sauce on the table helped. Service was wonderful. We visited on a weekday.

3 of us ate. Macaroni, & baked beans were very good, we all agreed on that.
We also agreed the meats were under-seasoned. 3 types of BBQ sauces at the table to help you spice things yourself. As people that eat out a lot, we tend to prefer the food come to the table as the cook intended it to taste. THEN, I add condiments to my tastes.

Service was horrible… took forever to get our order placed and then took forever to get our food and then they served the wrong food to us.
