Lancaster General Health Urgent Care Parkesburg

Super pleasant first experience. Just needed to stop in for a doctor’s note for basic upper respiratory virus. Reserved a spot online, checked in 10 mins early, and was back in my vehicle less than 10 mins after my scheduled appointment. Staff was super friendly and fast.

We tried to reserve a spot online today because the site gives the option to do so. There was 0 wait time around noon. I clicked on “reserve spot” chose from the drop down and got a message saying we could not reserve a spot. At 6: 30 this evening, I tried again. No ability to reserve a spot.
We brought my son in as a walk-in for both pink eye and congestion.
He was told he has viral pink eye and will have it for two weeks (as it’s going around) and he will have congestion as well. We were sure to let them know he has been congested for days. If they looked in his chart they’d see we called the doctor Monday to report he had a fever all weekend and congestion. We called today and couldn’t get in.
They checked his eyes and did NOT look in his throat, ears, nose. They had one agenda, the eyes yet prescribed a nose spray. We were told to go to PCP for the congestion! So we are going to pay a bill for urgent care to look at his eyes and not complete the assessment. The PCP had no appts today or tomorrow, we tried them first today and we were sent to urgent care. This is absolutely ridiculous and will be reported.

Very professional, have no negative. Funny though the place was empty one Friday I was there, nurse runs out to the secretary's, yells stampeded, by turtles. Figure it's a band? , look at the secretary's said hope the poor dudes OK. Nurse turns like oops didn't think anyone was here.

Horrible nurses. Terrible bed side manor. The nurse Sharon was snapping her fingers to my husband while he was sick and she was so rude and nasty. When I asked the PA who was attending to my husbands about the nurses in this facility he stated “they had a long night” so that gives healthcare professionals to be not professional and be the most uncaring and disrespectful people? I’ve never in my ten years of nursing ever acted this way. It’s absolutely disgusting

I could not be more pleased with my experience with the Lancaster, General urgent care. They got me in quickly, were incredibly pleasant and did everything they could to handle my broken leg. High praise to the reception staff, my nurse practitioner, the medical assistant, and my x-ray technician. They were all very patient centered, professional, and efficient.

The doctor I had named brooke was the most caring and amazing doctor i’ve ever had. Wish i could leave 6 stars ️

I have been here three times now. The receptionists have always been very friendly and kind and the check in process was easy. The wait time was moderate which I expected for an Urgent Care. The facility is clean and they have X-ray and MRI on location. The PA or Dr.s and nurses have been friendly to work with and were attentive to my concerns and questions.

I went in with a 103 fever have had this fever and higher for 4 days. Also had other symptoms such a headache, severe cough, dizziness, body aches etc. Dr. Dustin Yothers saw me and said “You probably have a common cold or covid but there is nothing I can do” and instructed me to “ride it out” while taking Tylenol. Did not test me for anything or did anything else. I went to the ER shortly after and turned out I had pneumonia. Dr. Yothers and other doctors here are going to end up killing more people than helping them. Do not go.

Save your money and go to general practitioner. Dr. Patel greeted me by asking me how many guys I kissed to get sick, when I said excuse me he retracted and stated if the guy I’ve been kissing is sick. I found this SO beyond disrespectful when I never once mentioned how I got sick. I came in with swollen tonsils and to be treated like that is so extremely concerning. On top of that he was completely dismissive over the symptoms and basically told me that if it’s not strep that it’s nothing and I just need to gargle salt water. I left in the same amount of pain, and was spoken to in a completely inappropriate manor. I wouldn’t see Dr Patel again even if he paid me.

They treat everyone like they are junkies looking for the next thrill!

I am allergic to Amoxicillin, was diagnosed as a child. They prescribed me an antibiotic that wasn’t available. Second one they prescribed me was in the Amoxicillin family and told me to keep an eye on any reactions since I may have grown out of it. Well, I did not. (Mind you this is all for a swollen impacted tooth that is so infected my whole left side of my face is swollen with excruciating pain!) I called them explained my symptoms and they immediately dismissed me and said go to the ER. I further explained I should be fine with just an antihistamine, that I was still able to swallow and eat just had a lump in my throat, was horse, and could barely breathe. They sent over a THIRD round of antibiotics and guess what they were in the Amoxicillin family! Luckily the lovely pharmacist (CVS Parkesburg) caught it before I went home and took another dose. I have never seen such incompetent doctors and nurses in my life. Thinking of contacting my attorney, it’s just pure negligence!

Definitely not happy with my treatment at this location and how i was spoken to regarding personal questions that I felt downright insulted on and inquiries I had. This place has gone downhill tremendously and I had been going here since it opened.
I'll stick to Tower or going to Lancaster for a visit. Other negative reviews highlight ongoing issues with staff, empathy, and common sense listening to patients.

I saw Dr. Patel after being on an antibiotic for 3 days prior due to an ear infection now on my L ear as well as my R. I also had severe asthma symptoms making me unable to sleep at night or lay down. He offered no other advice then to continue the antibiotic I was on. When offering an X-ray to check for pneumonia he explained it wouldn’t change my plan of care. I requested an inhaler or additional nebulizer treatments and he declined to help with my symptoms. I’ll be going to my PCP to get this resolved as I know they will consider my QOL and ensure that I am on the correct breathing treatments so I can sleep and return to work. When leaving there was no “feel better soon” just “bye”. Terrible bedside manner.

Came in with excruciating stomach pain and nausea. Was told to go home and told I have a stomach virus. The doctor never even touched my stomach to assess my pain. I requested an ambulance to Chester County Hospital and discovered I had a partially burst appendix and needed emergency surgery. DO NOT waste your time here. Tower Health Urgent Care in the same town is so much better and actually cares.

Went there had a horrible nose bleed it was gausing out everywhere n told to have a seat 4 people in front of me. I went in my car waited but in the meantime I was coughing n choking on my blood so I left n went home. So unprofessional.

Everytime I come here it’s always 2 hour waits, with 2 kids and no patience it’s pretty ridiculous. Scheduling an appointment ahead of time and still having to wait 2 hours to get seen.
