Men's Club Barber Shop, Philadelphia PA

First time there and it was a great experience. I moved last year pre pandemic and never got a chance to find a new barber shop after going to the same one for years. Diana did an amazing job of giving me a great looking cut while also starting the process of fixing some issues that came from diy cuts over the last year. She explained how she styled my hair and made sure I was happy with how it came out. Will 100% be back and would recommend this shop to anyone.

Disappointing hair donation experience. I’ve donated my hair to Wigs for Kids four times in my life and each previous time the barber tied my hair up in multiple ponytails all over my head to maximize the amount of the donation. I called ahead when I made my appointment several weeks ago just to be sure Men’s Club was familiar with that procedure. The person I spoke to said it would be fine but I should bring my own hairties because they might not have a lot on hand. When I came in for my cut today Jose seemed to be in a rush from the moment I sat down even though there were no other customers in the shop. I asked him to tie it off in multiple ponytails, offered a fresh pack of hairties for him to use, and explained I wasn’t too concerned with the final cut, just a buzz would be fine. The goal was to donate as much hair as possible. He quickly bunched my hair together, pulled it all straight back and cut it in one ponytail while I thought he was just getting ready to tie it. As a result, I lost more than half of the hair I’d spent two and a half years growing because it wasn’t arranged in multiple tails. The one ponytail he did cut wasn’t even tied before he cut it off, so I lost some more hair just trying to get the loose clump into rubber bands. Donated hair should always be tied off in multiple bands before it is cut. I was very disappointed with this experience. The cut I wanted was a little unusual for a men’s salon but I did call ahead and even showed Jose pictures from my previous donation and I feel he did not take the time to understand what I was asking for.

Traditional Barber shop, great services & value. I make sure to book here whenever I am in the area, always worth the trip. I can confidently recommend Jose, but the entire staff is skilled depending on your preference/needs (beards, color, etc.). Thanks for being a place I look forward to going to guys!

An old fashioned barber shop that offers a good haircut at a fair price. Jose always cuts it just the way I like!

Been going here for years now. Never disappointed. Did everything and anything you could during covid to keep it sanitary. Has a solid reputation for good reason within the area. I get my cut from Josh but can't go wrong with any of them in there.

Friendly fun environment for taking my toddler in for cuts. Even though he is not a fan of them at the moment, Tim is super patient with him and always gets the job done for us! Thanks!

Ricky has gotta be the worst barber in philly. The service here sucks and the haircuts are even worse.

Rude staff. Bunch of cocky guys who think they can cut hair. I got better haircuts at supercuts. Don't waste your money, especially on Richy, he's the worst.

Great local barber shop. Fair prices not a bad barber in sight! You don't have to worry about who you book with because they are all professionals with smooth sharp scissors and steady hands!

I cannot imagine getting my haircut anywhere else. The staff is funny, friendly and will give you the best haircut every time.

I'm always skeptical when trying a new barber, but Men's Club blew me away. Don't be fooled by the unassuming location, the place is awesome. There's a really good vibe and the service is excellent. Justin cut my hair and did an amazing job. I'll definitely make this my go to spot for haircuts.

Justin’s my barber and I was looking for a different cut because i’ve Been wearing the same cut for about 30 years. I just started to grow a beard as of Jan of 2017. Justin asked how did I want my cut and I told him to do his thing. I’ve been getting more compliments than I ever had in the past. Thank you Justin for your expertise and genius!

Great cut and great atmosphere, never left disappointed. Have went to both Tim and Jake. Both are amazing at what they do and for only 20 bucks a cut, it's a steal. Look forward to going back every 2 weeks!

These guys and girls do an amazing job. I always struggle to get a consistently good haircut at other places, but this spot never let's me down. I would travel a long distance just to keep coming here.

Great guys working here, real professional barbers that know how to do the job right. The female barber is excellent. Has an authentic "philly" feel. Definitely the place to go for a good cut.

Huge dissappointment. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AS SOON AS i walked in. They treated me as if they were such high class. Never felt such a mistreatment. I hope they dont treat everyone like that.

Wish I had more hair to cut, but love this place and when possible, love getting the head shaved here. I take my son who is a VERY active 3 year old and Tim and his crew handle him amazingly well and always give him a great cut.

It's ok but very expensive.they didn't do anything different from what you would get another barber shop.this place charges 55 dollars for the picture perfect haircut.ridiculous.

STAY AWAY! The worst group of barbers I've ever encountered! Screwed up the back of my head and then refused to fix it next day. A simple apology for Richy's hostile response would've been nice.

My 11 year son had dread locs for 5 years so getting his hair cut was a HUGE deal. We were referred to Jake and were told that he was awesome. I am so glad that we went here as it was a great experience and my sons hair looks amazing. I scheduled his next appointment before he left the shop that day. Thank you!
