Earl’s Lodge reviews
8 By far the nicest ski lodge I’ve ever been to. The dining area is breathtaking and the poop stalls are super private.
Solid WiFi connection (~21 Mbps) to connect to the outside world in between runs on the slopes. I went on a weekday and the dining room was somewhat full but there were plenty of spaces to sit.
Food is mid-tier for a ski lodge but whatever. Would definitely come back again.
Most beautiful ski lodge I’ve ever been in. Nice clean bathrooms. Lots of food options. Beautiful wood fire.
The food and drinks were amazing after a long day after the slopes!
Julie was our waitress, and she's an angel! We got stranded on the mountain as we were going too hard and there were no more buses. She found out and attempted to find us a way down, even volunteering to drive us down!
Unfortunately, our gear wouldn't fit. But wow, we would recommend dining here and enjoy the music and the wonderful staff!
Thank you Julie, you are amazing!
Bring your credit card. You’re gonna need it. Love the pot pie, but can usually only afford the pizza. Pizza is good too, albeit a bit greasy. But greasy in a good way. Can’t get a table inside but outside there’s a darn good view!
The good:
-The basin burger, chicken tenders, fries and salad all tasted good.
-They refunded my burger and gave me a free salad.
The bad:
-My burger was undercooked, pink in the middle. Not a big deal if it’s prepared safely to be rare/mr but since they refunded it I assume not. Also the bottom bun has been ripped into two halves.
-coleslaw did not taste fresh, seemed a bit off
-Someone got cold fries so they brought it back, not a big deal
-Person behind the counter dumped the returned fries back into the ready batch, not the trash. No one else reacted, so maybe I’m just being picky
-Same person served those still-cold fries to the next guest in line (they grabbed from the same area the cold fries were deposited)
The rest of the food, even the undercooked burger was good, at least the parts I ate and I did not get food poisoning despite eating some of the pink beef. They were very accommodating in handling the burger issue, I did not report the fries issue.
If you aren't willing to scarf down your overpriced food and leave immediately, don't bother. 3 of us (strangers, who chose to sit together to take up minimal space) were sharing a table and working on our laptops while our family members skied. We all bought $6+ coffees and planned to get lunch (our family member included). While my partner was up buying $60 worth of lunch and drinks, the GM came around and questioned if we were working, to which we said yes and explained how we all had people on the hill. He said we were costing the restaurant $300 by occupying this table, even when we said we were leaving after lunch. If you don't have seating for all of the skiers you're selling passes to, then stop allowing Ikon passholders to ski here. Expand your building size if you're overselling. Here's another idea: put in community style seating instead of these massive tables and chairs from ancient times that are designed for groups of 6. I saw plenty of tables with empty chairs. It's your capacity issue, and we were all paying customers whose experience has now been tainted. I'm a local, and this has seriously caused me to question whether we will ever buy season passes again.
A wonderful Alpine Lodge. Staff members are friendly and helpful. We only had snacks but next time we reserve more time for lunch.
