Harrison's Restaurant, Stowe VT

Totally disappointed by this dinner after booking our reservation a month in advance. Lamb chops were not edible — cooked the medium rare like we asked but the meat had no sear & was rubbery in texture. Seemed that they dumped a ton of mustard on top to hide these things. The chicken piccata was similar, but the vegetables for both dishes were horrible. Reminded us of the frozen melody of veggies that you throw in the microwave. Not worth the wait for a reservation or the price tag.

This has become one of our favorites. The menu changes up just enough that I am always delighted to find something new to try. Good is amazing. Everything is exceptionally fresh. Their salads are out of this world. Our last dinner was a combined birthday dinner. The service was spot on, food excellent, and love, love the atmosphere. If you are coming to Vermont be sure to make reservations in advance.

Wow! I can’t say enough about this gem of a place. It’s the perfect combination of food, service, and ambiance (think wood burning fireplace). I can’t imagine any trip to Stowe without a stop here.

We stopped in for an early dinner after a day of skiing and Harrison’s was the perfect cozy spot for a meal. Our waiter was very attentive and our food and drinks were great. We got the steak au poivre which was cooked perfectly along with the potato soup and Caesar salad. We had no reservations but given we came early we had no problems getting seated.

The place is small, in a good way, with a warm, cozy atmosphere. The staff was pleasant and cheerful. I got the venison and wow, was that amazing. It basically melted in my mouth and was complemented perfectly by the demi glaze and the blue cheese crumbles. I love blue cheese so I got extra:)

Awesome spot. We had the oysters (cape cod patriots), burger, salmon and gnocchi and all were great!

The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was amazing. Great dinner overall.

This and the irish pub were my 2 favorite places in vermont to get food. Would definitely come back here any time.

We just visited Harrison’s for the third time, and it’s amazing every time. My husband and I just had our best meal at Stowe! If you’re traveling to Stowe, make a reservation now because they book up quickly! They do accommodate walk-ins if you get there at 430 pm when they open. They are also only open starting on Wednesdays. Now for what we ordered - the duck wings as an appetizer are truly mind blowing, incredibly crispy, moist, and doused in maple syrup. The Parmesan truffle fries were out of this world and the dipping sauce was amazing. I ordered the sweet potato encrusted salmon which was great, my husband had the seared tuna, both cooked perfectly. The profiteroles for dessert were delicious. The restaurant is incredibly cozy and cute inside. The service is also amazing! We had Anna as our server twice and she is excellent!

The pie of the day was spectacular and the best pie I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was cooked with a lot of care. The vibe of the restaurant was so cozy and upscale. Definitely the best option in Stowe.

We shared a Cesar Salad, Mussels, and Lobster Rolls. Food was terrific. Portions were large. And service was great. Our best meal on a wonderful one week Vermont trip.

We make sure each time we visit Stowe that a reservation is made months in advance! Food is exceptional, service is amazing!

Friendly host, amazing bartendress, cozy atmosphere and most important- all dishes were perfect!
What a great night after last night total failure at another place.
One thing, you have to make a reservation way ahead of time, so we wasn't that lucky and sat at bar - no regrets at all.
For appetizer we had a very tasty mushroom toast, and both our entrée- salmon and razorback chicken was just right, very juicy, tender and full of flavor.
The portion was quite big, so I didn't finish my chicken to save some room for the dessert and it was a great decision, because their homemade frozen mocha cheesecake was something we never tried before, we joked it was just a pure butter! -:)
So, this place is a must while in Stowe!

Really enjoyed everything about our meal here. Great tasting food, super friendly service, loved the location and the ambience. Absolutely coming back next time in Stowe.

Made reservation a month in advance. Red Sangria was really good. Duck wings and Mediterranean calamari unique and tasty. Less one star because we were not given specials. We did not know they had specials until we heard they were given someone at the next table.

Wife had the Holy Cow burger, I had the Harrison burger. Both meals were excellent. Service was very good and friendly, and the prices were fair. Would recommend this place to stop in and try their menu.

I don’t leave reviews often and generally am left disappointed as a foodie either by lack of seasoning or service or creativity. This restaurant exceeded expectations so much so that we decided to book another reservation after dining out next night. The salads were full of flavor loved the layers of beets contrasting the aioli. The duck egg roll and crawfish fritters were delicious. My steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the pork with mole sauce and tomatillo salad and Chile relleno was one of the more interesting dishes I’ve had in a bit. Drinks were great and key lime pie wonderful. I’ve dined most places in Stowe and this notches every other restaurant out. Blows hen of the wood away, I found their food lackluster and under seasoned not the case at Harrison’s!

We dined here one evening. I can vouch for the quality of the food. The vibe/atmosphere was amazing as well. I highly recommend it!

Definitely the biggest dinning win or our trip, hit on every note. Fried brussel sprouts were amazing. Steaks tips were perfectly prepared and sauce was very good. The mushroom ravioli was an amazing dish. Service was good, ambiance good.

Beautiful restaurant in town to visit for a delicious bite to eat! We visited Stowe, VT this past weekend and had a great time! The downtown is small but very cute with a decent amount to do. We stopped into Harrison's for a quick app and cocktail. The restaurant is very beautiful with a rustic feel to it and the menu had a great selection of apps/ entrees. I had ordered the oysters which were very good - we got a dozen at about $3.50 a piece which we thought were reasonable. The oysters were delicious and I really enjoyed the sauce that came with it in addition to your typical cocktail sauce. I also ordered an espresso martini which I thought was also very good. I wish we were able to spend more time at Harrison's but overall, we had a great first visit.
