2201 Pershing Apartments, Arlington VA

Been here a year and am enjoying it with my lovely pup.the leasing office and team have great customer service and have tended to every need and inquiry. They’re also great people and have been a pleasure to have be a part of my community. My apartment is spacious, any maintenance requests have been dealt with in a timely manner and my pup and I are fond of them too! Pershing feels like community for me and I think you’d feel that way too!

Cal is the best leasing agent I have ever worked with! He gets things done asap and is very friendly. There is nothing he cannot do and he makes living at 2201 so enjoyable! Thank you Cal!

Vladimir on the maintenance team is the best! He’s gone above and beyond to help me more than once, and I’m grateful to have maintenance personnel I can rely on.

We’ve had bad experiences with previous leasing offices and staff once we moved in. But the staff here has been nothing but helpful.

I’ve lived in this apartment complex under different management and I want to applaud how amazing it has been since Charlotte and Callahan came in. Every concern or inquiry is promptly received with care and communication. We love stopping by the office for friendly chats and feel the apartment as a community is a much more cozy place to live in. Thank you for all that you do!

I cannot say enough great things about 2201 Pershing and its incredible staff. Cal and Charlotte are absolutely incredible and go above and beyond to support the residents and community. Everything that they do, from helping residents, setting up wonderful community events, to organizing the package room (I cannot express how significant this has been - it was a anxiety inducing before they came and now it is more organized than a library!). The building is lovely, but the staff is truly what makes this place a 5 star place to live.

I have lived here since June 2020 and there have been ups and downs with past management and leasing staff in the past. Previous management made it obvious that they were not invested in our community and unfortunately that vibe was felt throughout the community. But ever since Charlotte Griffin and Callahan McGrath came in and took over, this community has never been better! It's amazing what a difference good leadership makes. Charlotte and Cal both go above and beyond to serve and cultivate the community and their positive energy and efforts are felt. Residents genuinely appear happier and I know I feel happier living here. I am so grateful to Charlotte and Cal for making 2201 an amazing community!

I’ve lived at 2201 Pershing for about 9 months and have really enjoyed my time here. The location is great and the buildings are clean and well maintained. The unit itself is great too. The absolutely shining star is the leasing staff. Everyone is so helpful and accommodating. Cal McGrath helped me with a number of things and I could not speak more highly of him. He’s a wonderful and incredibly helpful human being. I’ll miss living here and the wonderful people who work here.

I toured Pershing apartments yesterday and had the pleasure of dealing with Cal McGrath. He is very professional and super friendly. He is truly an amazing person, and Equity Apartments are lucky to have such an awesome employee. I would move here just because of him! Keep up the great work Cal!

I've been living at Equity's 2201 Pershing Apartment Building (well technically, the 2209 building) over the last five years and I have to say, it's been a blast! It's the perfect blend of living in a quiet neighborhood while remaining within reasonably close walking distance to the action of Arlington (i.e. Restaurants, stores, and bars). The apartments are in good shape, have nice layouts, good lighting, and fairy spacious. The gym and pool are certainly nice bonus amenities that I have gotten great usage from while living here.

I think it's important to to give a big shout out to the current property manager/leasing agent (Callahan) that started working here a few months ago. There were one or two property managers/leasing agents that worked here a couple of years ago that were frankly a little lackluster, but that is certainly no longer the case. Callahan has done an amazing job managing the property ever since he came on board. Starting on his first day here, we immediately noticed how friendly, professional, and intelligent he is, and he has a very positive attitude (which makes living here very easy). So big props to Callahan for enhancing the atmosphere of our community neighborhood/building as I think that can often be underlooked/valued when evaluating options for an apartment.

I have lived at 2201 Pershing Apartments for over a year now, and overall, it has been a great experience! My partner and I recently moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom within 2201 Pershing, and Cal McGrath provided excellent support throughout the transition process, making sure we had all the resources we needed to make our move as smooth as possible. Additionally, his and his colleagues and have working to increase community activities. For example, they recently hosted a sushi-making class with a professional chef, which was not only fun, but a fun way to meet my neighbors.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable yet high quality apartment in the DC metro area. It has great amenities (nice courtyard, BBQs, and big fitness area), the apartments are new and nice, and the management has been great. The only downside of it is it's a little bit of a walk (10-15 minutes) to the nearest metro station, but with that comes a quiet neighborhood. It's also across the street from some incredible Peruvian food (El Fuego). Special thank you to the management team, especially Cal for recently going above and beyond in helping with the move-out process.

Just moved in and really enjoying it so far. Building seems good so far but only just moved in. Cal is great.

Update-
While staff is relatively nice and responsive, and unit is relatively nice, I have to drop this to 4 stars. Reasoning being:
1. Not really buildings fault but noise levels are insane from nearby Fort Myer, constantly firing guns and cannons?
2. Walls are too thin, I can hear neighbors conversations pretty easily, same is true for floor/ceilings, upstair neighbor walking around will sound louder than it is. I legibly hear upstairs washing machine every time they run laundry, etc.
3. Multiple maintenance issues, from appliances to window leaking when it rains too hard. They are addressed quickly, but its still too much for being here 2 mo only in my opinion.

I love my apartment, I have to admit I was hesitant to choose 2201 (2209 building) with all the newer builds in the area. Leasing and moving in the midst of the pandemic was a challenge, the staff was phenomenal. The common area improvements were a great improvement and done with so little or practically no inconvenience to residents.

Service appointments for anything are quickly set up and efficiently taken care of. The service team are always really nice, efficient and respectful. Couldn’t ask for more.

The building is kept clean and very well maintained. The front office is always friendly, helpful, responsive and professional. We are very happy with our choice of home.

Callahan McGrath is a wonderful leasing consultant who goes above and beyond to help residents. He is smart, resourceful, kind and patient and will take his time to resolve a challenge. 2201 Pershing is lucky to have him on board and we are grateful for his service. Thank you Cal!

I lived at 2201 Pershing for almost two years. I really loved the location and the retail. While I was there they updated the hallways and always maintained the amenity spaces. Ty Clarke most definitely held it down during the height of the pandemic with great communication. Since moving out I’ve had a major struggle with changing the address to my furniture delivery! It came in two different shipments two months apart! And The leasing consultant Cal has over exceeded my expectations with helpfulness and communication! He brainstormed with me on plans to get this large furniture back to DC. I’m very happy to know he’s apart of the Pershing Team. He seems to really think outside the box and care for residents needs!
