I arrived for a lab appointment on June 27. The phelbotimist did not address me as indicated in my chart. I received conflicting messages as to what labs were ordered and had to repeat my questions several times over. Miscommunication results in unnecessary tensions.

Customer service over the phone is poor. Then they tell me there is no “acute patient” appts. Appts for people that are sick. Dr. Abitz is ice cold. Do not recommend.

Over the last few months I've had 3 different appointments canceled without consulting me or my family first. We have to get time off of work and plan for the appointments and they do that. After the third cancelation I was told the next available time is over 3 months out. I also asked if they had any plans to expand pediatrics since they are ALWAYS booked up and they said no. This place is VERY GOOD at making sure they get you your bill on time and even to collections if your even one second late to pay. Unprofessional on so many levels.

My wife had blood drawn today and the lab techs had problems since she has tiny veins. They poked her many times and it hurt a lot. Finally they got it and my wife left very upset. As she was walking out, she overheard two of them talking about her. Very unprofessional. They definitely need some retraining in their techniques and how to treat their patients.

Honestly, I've been really impressed with the friendliness and professionalism with everyone I've interacted with at Aurora. They've been helpful without being pushy or overbearing.

I am incredibly disappointed by the unprofessionalism of Aurora Health and its staff, especially the office of Dr. Tae Ho Choi. I am new to the area. When I searched for Aurora Health on maps, there was an Aurora "Memorial" Medical Center and an Aurora Health Center on Kohler "Memorial" Drive. The day before my appointment, I received a call from Dr. Tae Ho Choi's office staff to confirm my appointment. The person never once told me the location of the appointment. That same evening I got a text message with information about the visit. As you can see in the attached picture, there was no information about the location of the appointment—just time, date, and procedures. On the day of my appointment, I get to the Aurora "Memorial" Medical Center only to find out that I am at the wrong location. The staff there attempts to contact Dr. Choi's office with no luck. They advise me to head to the Clinic on Kohler "Memorial, " and they will try to reach out to the doctor's office staff. I got to the correct location, and the first-floor receptionist asked where I was going. I told them, and they vaguely said to go to the second floor. I walk up the stairs, and I find no reception desk on the second floor, just multiple tight hallways with numerous offices. I wander around with no staff member to ask. I finally pop into a random office, and they point me in the right direction. There was three staff receptionist that day at Dr. Choi's office. They check-in the person in front of me, and I advance to what I thought would be a quick greeting and check-in. Not the case; I stood there for at least several minutes before one of them looked up to ask what I needed, a poor choice of words. Clearly, I was there for an appointment. A greeting like, hello, who are you here to see today, would suffice, but that is not the case. The gentleman hears my story and tells me that he would check with the doctor to see if the doctor would still see me. He comes back and tells me that the doctor will not see me because I didn't show up on time. Feeling disappointed, I left, and the most frustrating thing was that no one seemed to care as I walked away. In a pandemic time, where the health care system is constantly attacked and scrutinized, you would think that the people that make up the health care system would be more civilized, but that is not the case with Aurora Health; its staff, or Dr. Choi.
