143 Street Tacos, Sierra Vista AZ

Absolutely great Mexican food! Huge amount of food for a good price. The burrito was so large that my wife and I shared it. When we were done eating, I complemented the owner about the delicious smokey flaver of the meat, and he graciously showed off his grill. Would highly recommend eating here when you're in Sierra Vista.

Went in for the first time yesterday and was excited to see the anticipated taco Tuesday deal. Was no actual deal. 2.99 for a taco is not a deal. Everything else very expensive too. Seems like it wouldve atleast tasted good. Nope. The atmosphere was uncomfortable. The clerk hurried me to make an order and it wasn't even crowded. All in all very disappointed. No one ever answers the phone and they actually expect you to leave a message which they also don't return your call. Won't be returning. Went to Taco Giro 1.99 for taco Tuesday. Now that's an actual deal.

Food is delicious. Highly recommend any of the Carne Asada options since their marinated for it was superb. They do run out of meat options later in the evenings so make sure to go earlier to have more options.

Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Their al pastor tacos are so Jucy and to die for and so filling too for such a great price! Highly recomend!

Fast and friendly service with a fun and colorful atmosphere. Ordered the beef taco and it was ready remarkably quick. I recommend this restaurant and will definitely recommend it to our STVR guests.

How rare is it to return to a restaurant where the food is even better than the previous time. Ordered the Culichi Bowl for the first time and thought, "why has it taken me this long to try this? " Exceptional flavor! Will definitely be ordering it again!

Probably the best tacos I have ever had. Visiting from NY, we stopped in on a recommendation. The tacos and burritos were fresh and delicious. The different meats tasted better than any other taco/burrito that I have had previously. If you are in the area worth stopping by.

Update 2023: We have visited again and it is still clean and the staff still friendly. I increased the stars from 3 to 4 because they seem to have stopped watering down the guac and sour cream and the food was better as well. The prices change frequently and there was even a sign saying so. I only went up 1 star since there are places with bigger portions for better prices and just as good if not better food in town. They are local tho so I will support them when in the area.

OG Review (2022) Disappointing first visit. The staff were very friendly and I like that they have outdoor seating. The building seemed to be clean and the food was ready within minutes. However, for the price the portions were quite small compared to competitors with similar price points. We did the 3 tacos & a drink Thirsty Thursday Deal for $11 and added a Carmelo with a side of sour cream. The tacos were small tortillas stuffed with reheated meat that lacked flavor and some cabbage and/or cilantro & onions. The Carmelo was made with the same sized tortillas as the tacos and only had cheese on one side so the top tortilla just falls off when you try to eat it. They did have a decent amount of meat which was more flavorful than the taco meat had been and the cheese was good, but the meat was dry and not very warm which is why we assume it was reheated meat. The Carmelo was almost worth it for flavor. The fountain drink lemonade tasted watered down and it's a medium size cup for $3, so didn't seem worth it to us. They gave us a choice of salsas when I picked up the order, I chose the hot salsa and the guacamole from the options she offered. The sour cream I paid $. 25 for was watered down and runny with no flavor as was the guacamole that they did not charge extra for. I would rather pay a little extra and get guac and sour cream that's not been watered down. The hot salsa was spicy hot but lacked any flavor. To sum it up, they had quick friendly customer service, a clean appearing place and the items to go were packaged well, which earned them 3 stars. We couldn't justify 5 stars because the lack of value and flavor. At the end of the meal it simply did not satisfy our hunger or taste buds and therefore wasn't worth the price. I'm glad I tried it as I like to support local so I hope they amp up the flavor.

Great Burritos. I have gone twice and originally thought I'd order Tacos But I can't help myself from ordered the stuffed Burritos. They are big, flavorful and hot. Excellent choice for a real good size meal.

WOW! Went to 143 for the first time last night - all around fantastic! They were so friendly, and gave us multiple samples to try some different meats before ordering. Everything we tried was amazing!

We went with a 2 meat combo platter and a 3-taco platter. 5 on everything!

Been coming here for years seems like it only gets better l, owner and his wife are amazing people. 10/10 would recommend.

The food is unbelievably delicious and the portions are great. Always quick service and everyone there is so kind and makes you feel super welcomed! Can’t say enough good things about this place!

I wasn't that impressed by their chicken tacos or quesadilla. The chicken was dry and the pork tacos were bland. The place is popular though. My guess is because there's only a few places in Sierra Vista where you can get served some tacos in a timely manner.

Came from Mesa, AZ for court and stopped at 143 street tacos. They are BOMB! If back to Sierra Vista I will be stopping here AGAIN!

The owner and his wife are incredible, kind, and genuinely stoked about what they do. The food was absolutely amazing and the salsas were out of this world. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely some of the best customer service I have ever received and the food is delicious. This was fabulous and worth the time of anyone craving authentic Hispanic cuisine.
