51st Ave & Van Buren Goodwill Clearance Center reviews
21It’s honestly not bad at all! But you do have to search for good items and it can be crowded. If you plan to go through only clothes gloves aren’t necessary but otherwise I’d recommend bringing some. Don’t bring kids, it’ll only make things harder for you and others. Lots of good finds here!
This is a good place to shop but a worker name Robert Jones he was being disrespectful and yelling in my face because I told him that's this is unorganized and he got offended and started yelling at me and I am calling corpet for this I hope he gets fired.
.
It’s like digging through a landfill. Just a bunch of junk that looks like it was thrown in the back of a dump truck, dumped out on the floor, thrown on the floor and stomped on, then tossed in a bin for sale. 90% is just plain garbage with no possible use even for parts
I love going to the bins! If you enjoy great deals this is a place for you! You pay the clothing by the pound. You can compare shopping here like going to a yard sale. Some things may be very used! But you will find good items. It will take some digging through. The negative about this place is that the shopping carts are almost always taken or being reserved by shoppers! I recommend you take your own reusable bag.new items come out every hour. The place can get hectic. People will try to grab the best items first! It is also a mess with clothing everywhere! And lots of dust! Take a mask and gloves for your comfort. Remember this place is a clearance shop. They have tons and tons of used clothing!
The place is a train wreck. If u are not an illegal u will not survive one hour. They will push u out and not let u pass by to get around. They hog all the carts and think they own the place. I'm Hispanic my self but damn have some common courtesy and respect.
This is unlike anything I have ever seen or experienced. Its the Storage Wars of Thrift Stores Thats the best way I can describe this place. Shopping and Entertainment all in one.
The last stop for items that are not sold in Goodwill stores. I heard, what's not sold here, gets shipped to others countries. Come with gloves and patience. I also bring hand sanitizer. I have found some good finds here. Rather inexpensive, sold by lbs, unless it's heavy, then they set a price.
Big, crowded, smelly.just what you want. Come prepared, gloves & wipes are nice. Get there early to nab a cart.
If crowds bother you, this isn't the place for you.
I find great deals but other shoppers are rude pushy and assholley. Employees do their job the best they can. I have found great deals there that are worth the time spent looking.
Horrible customer service. The place is confusing and employees yell at customers. Shame on your employees
This place is a joke! Everything is shoved into bins. Theres no organization to anything. I See a ton of people hanging around just standing. No one willing to help explain how it works.
Same as all goodwill they now price stuff close to retail and I get it but it used to be a place for the people who couldn't afford things to get them second hand get it USED!
Huge disappointment! I came a long way on the bus for this place and it looked like a homeless shelter. There was a bunch of pins in the middle of the floor and a bunch of clothes piled in the bins. Absolutely no organization. Nothing but clothes in bins: - (
The people are rude and I have been hit by carts and pushed by a lot people during rotations and the regulars there are a bunch rude women who block the front with their carts are rude and won't move they block the front with all their carts which is very dangerous and if there was a fire nobody would get through because theirs carts are blocking the front by a lot of carts very dangerous and careless people plus mens bathroom is disgusting I will never shop there again
Ginger went out of her way to help me today. First time here just to pick up items. Ginger was so nice seriously. She took time to explain how this Center works and gave me some helpful tips for next time. I didn't shop while I was there but it looks very time consuming so come early and pack a lunch. And bring gloves
Worst place ever went.finally found two things I wanted. Got to the cashier she was supposed to weigh them.she call the supervisor over so he could jack up the price left everything and walked out. Drove up the street went to a Goodwill store and bought two things cheaper and nicer never go back.
I seriously don't understand why there are so many whiners on here. Really? This is an OUTLET! If you want fake and phony smiles and greets, go find a regular Goodwill. This is an outlet. People here are not looking after your well being. The employees have to deal with your kids running around out of control, your throwing things around making big giant messes. The customers that shop here are only there to look out for themselves. They don't care about you. This place is not a place to make friends and hang out for BBQ's. If your looking for that, go somewhere else and stop WHINING.
Walking into the warehouse will be crazy! There are loads of people looking through big bins of clothes and rotations, or changing the clothes n the bins, are done every house and the wait can be up to 30 minutes or more. Once the OK is given, everyone runs like it is black friday. IT'S CRAZY! There s a huge variety to look and choose from, but patience is needed here since everyone is raging through everything. The lines are relatively short and drink and snacks are available.
You should wear gloves if your going through a table with broken items&dirt.they accept donations&if you buy any item its final sale can't return or exchange because its last resort for all goodwill items that get ship from all the other goodwill stores.
Dregs of donations, employees and customers get together to compete. Armed with tongs and trash pokers while wearing protective gear combatants transfer heaps of discards between bins and carts. If the exit doors don't work, your in a special level of hell for hoarders where you will spend eternity sorting through the spoils of humanity.
