61st Ave and Bell Road - Goodwill - Retail Store and Donation Center reviews
24Always have fun on my little treasure hunts. I wish they would bring back the 50% Saturdays. Thanks a lot, Covid 19.
I've enjoyed supporting Goodwill over the years. I'm very thankful that after my divorce, I could afford to find clothes for my family and myself on a very limited budget.
The last 2 weekends, I dropped off items and had the pleasure of meeting John at the donation drop off. He was very professional, greeted me with a smile (i could tell he was smiling, even with a mask on), and was eager to help unload my car even with the temperatures outside reaching 110+ with 55% humidity.
I was very impressed by the professionalism and 100% dedication to his job. As if he was driven knowing he was supporting the Goodwill mission statement and his own work values.
If John does not move up in this company, he will wherever he lands, and they'll be lucky to have him.
I wanted to pass this on and share that you have an exceptional employee.
I've returned to this business several times because I like staff and service. I almost always find 1 excellent bargain to buy. If you shop thrifty this is a good stop for you.
Clean store that is routinely stocked and employees are nice and helpful. I'm always able to find something that I need here.
Definitely one of the more cleaner and nicer Goodwills around town. Also has better prices for certain items and a lot better clothes.
It's okay not the best thrift store in the valley. Occasionally it needs to be cleaned and restocked more than it is the moment. Good place to donate old clothes, toys, and furniture if you are cleaning house or want a tax write-off.
Good Wills this particular store not there best very dirty and its employees again not there best
I found a couple of good books to add to my collection for only $7. The cashier who checked me out was really nice and pulled me from another line that had one person in it I was only waiting for a moment, but the person checkingout in front of me was having some sort of discussion about the price of an item they wanted to buy. I wish I could remember my cashier's name he made me laugh and made my experience. I will definitely come back here to browse the books and maybe find something else.
Attitude was the worst I have ever seen. Asked Mgr.a question about price of item. Look that I got was who are you and what do you want. I have to admit I got sour him. No customer skills and was not a good person to deal with. You're choice to shop there. We will not return, Ever. Spent over $100.00. If you read this, hay have a better personality.to the Mgr. At Goodwill on 61st and Bell. PS.get people skills, should not be in your position. Should be no stars, making me pick one.
Mother's day place very busy! Our waiting time was long, but worth the wait! Meals were delicious! Waitress friendly and engaged. Going back soon.
The clothes I got today were name brand and in good shape. However, the two employees I encountered were not friendly at all. I even smiled at the cashier and told him to have a nice day after he was smug and throwing hangers around while checking me out, he looked at me with a blank face and didn't say a word back.
This is a large Goodwill with a decent selection, but whatever air freshener or perfume they use in there to cover thr smell of the old items is absolutly horrible. It smells so bad I get an instant headache when I walk in. I bough a chair there, and it STILL smells like that odor. Nasty.
I found some great finds here, but rated the store low because of the overall environment in the store. The store was tidier than most goodwill stores, however, the women's bathroom was a bit unsightly. Also the store was noisy and rampant with loud children screaming and people knocking things over. Not the best experience, but that's not goodwill's fault.
Lots of selection. Bought a computer/tv monitor (no remote) here as gift a few months ago. Still works.
I have been making beautiful knitted scarves with holiday appliques on and donating to this Goodwill Store. I asked the manager if I could leave the scarves on a counter instead of in the donation bin where other things are thrown on top of them. She was not very courteous and said that's not how they do things. I told her that I will donate the scarves at other thrift stores and she have a nice day.
Store needs more cashier's, specially on there busy Saturday 50 off sale. The store is organized so that's a plus. My daughter loves going to this thrift store to find cosplay costumes ideas.
Way over priced, i cant believe it, were talking FREE donations, u dont c them helping hurricane victims, but u do c the salvation army doing its part, the goodwill crooks need 2b investigated, non-profit my ass, and see how many mini storage units the management has stuffed full of jewelry & antiques, more oversight needed, the FBI & IRS need 2 crawl up there ass with a microscope, there charging double what they should,
I just think sometimes that decisions should be made to toss or resell. Some items obviously belong in the garbage. I love resale/thrift and also love to support causes but.
It's ok. It's messy. No furniture. Mostly clothes and kids things. Not very organized. I don't like this location.
I am a VERY organized person. I am from Texas and have never been to this Goodwill. It is the BEST one I have EVER been to; VERY organized. Thank you so much!
