AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic: San Tan Valley

I note quite a few people have given positive reviews to AFC. I truly appreciated the friendliness of providers who work here. They are incredibly friendly compared to many services. I was disappointed however by visit #2. With back x-rays having been taken on visit #1 and visibly on the screen to be explained, the chiropractor came in discussing my neck. He was not ready to treat me or preoccupied or just talking faster than thinking. That was a concerning flag that they may not be totally committed to me.

Further, I could not "commit 100%" to the treatment plan before being told which parts of it my insurance would pay. "That comes later. " They had, however, already checked my United Healthcare insurance and knew what was and was not covered.

The total plan included 6 months of therapeutic visits with use of machines. They also suggested I get TENS unit, back brace, and 2-3 other modalities. It was an overwhelming amount even if they "would work with" you on the cost. I had pain and needed a bit of help and did not appreciate much time spent on up-selling the plan. I could not commit despite how very nice they were.

AFC Chiropractor/Physical Therapy, has absolutely changed my life. I’ve dealt with back pain for 8 years now, living at a pain level of an 8 everyday. I’ve gone to multiple doctors, gone through multiple rounds of Physical therapy, i’ve done injections, also have seen other chiropractors and i’ve left every appointment in more pain or with less hope in finding help. Then I met the AFC Family, I walked in the office thinking it was going to be the same as the rest. That i’ll add another doctor/office to my list of no hope. I was welcomed by a big smile from their lovely receptionist and their whole team. I was then brought back to a room for a Consultation. In the consultation we spoke about my past history, my current issues, and a future game plan. We also went over the game plan with the chiropractor. I’ve never had an appointment where the care plan is discussed in front of me, due to my bad past experiences they also took in consideration with my opinions on the plan. Whether I was comfortable or not. My experience has been amazing so far. Each of my appointments are filled with on going discussions of my care, injections, adjustments, and physical therapy. My favorite part is that they give you equipment to help improve your care at home. After 12 visits I live on a pain level of a 4 now on a day to day basis. They’ve given me and shown me more hope than anyone has in 8 years.

I came to AFC a few months ago after years of struggling with what Dr. 's assumed was Fibromyalgia and chronic ear issues. I was 22 when they diagnosed me. I knew deep down it wasnt that but went on with my life. After giving birth to my son and almost 30 now, things got worse. I came to AFC and in desperate need after trying so much to get help. After x rays, I was surprised to see that there was so much going on with my spine and misalignment and what has been causing a lot of my issues over the years. Not only did they come up with a customized treatment plan for me, they showed so much compassion and sympathy that I needed at that time. Dr Bock and his staff are some of the most amazing people and I am so lucky I get to visit a few times a week to get treated. Like most reviews on here say that they truly care is so true. Three months in and my ears have so much relief, I can actually travel the streets, freeways and travel through mountains now without pain or pressure. My neck and back alignment is progressing well and I am starting to feel more myself and able to enjoy life as I did years ago. I have treatment through February and just excited to see where I end up after my full treatment plan. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is struggling, especially with your ears. They do wonders and there is no need to live in misery as I was for years, there is help and hope.

I have only had 2 sessions and so far things have been great. Everything is explained in advance so no surprises. Looking forward to getting better with AFC's help.

I have never felt more comfortable & at home at a chiropractic place before. I have had many terrible experiences that made me scared of going back. But the staff here has made me feel very much at ease. Every single one of them are mazing and super nice. They all explain things very well and make you understand everything.

Great experience, bad lower back pain. Doctor remembered me from years ago. Got me in, adjusted, and talked about ways to help with pain and trying not to get out again. Great people here!

GREAT team! Just started going there but have gone to different chiropractors in the past. I fell in love the with the staff and their vision for my health was right on point with mine.

I love the welcoming environment. I never knew a chiropractor could help with TMJ yet here we are and I have had so much relief it's amazing. Everyone is friendly and happy and I'm actually sad that my therapy is over because I absolutely love going there! Not only did they help with my pain, they showed me how to manage it on my own for the future with tools and exercises. Thank you very much AFC!

Warning this is long but I need to share my honest experience:

Seriously. This is the best Chiropractor I’ve ever been to. I suffer from scoliosis which was the cause of my many other issues. I have also been to over 50 doctors in the past 11 years. No doctor has ever improved my severe pain, stiffness and curvature like Dr. Bock and his amazing team has. They truly take out the time to listen to you, answer all of your questions, make sure you understand everything and are with you every step of the way. They are also very patient with you and are honest (very important)! Every doctor I’ve ever been to only cared about their pockets so would feed you lies and give you temporary fixes to keep you coming back. Not Dr. Bock! He ACTUALLY WANTS to help you and improve your quality of life. I have been going here for about 11 months now so I can honestly say he changed my life. I’m the most active I’ve been in years, I am not always in pain every day and my curve has improved tremendously. My entire right side use to sink all the way in and my hip was way higher than my left side which put my confidence and self esteem at zero. Not anymore! Now you can’t hardly tell that I deal with scoliosis! I no longer look weird in my clothes and I even bought myself a new 2 piece swimsuit (right in time for summer) because I look and feel great! My confidence is on 10 and I am pain FREE for the most part! Seriously no one can tell me nothing! Lol. Dr. Bock and his team are truly miracle workers and treat you like family. If you are not going to Dr. Bock and his amazing team you are definitely NOT going to the best in the country!

This office, their approach to chiropractic care, and investment in their patients is like none I’ve ever experienced. I have already seen improvement in 4 weeks and I am in less pain and discomfort than I’ve experienced in over a decade.

Dr Bock is great! It was my first experience with a chiropractor, he made me feel so comfortable about the whole process

Everyone is very helpful. They took the time to find out what’s wrong and then explained everything that needed done and set it all up. First treatment has relieved the pain to my elbow and my neck pain. Looking forward to the rest of the treatments.

I love everyone here! Everyone is so sweet and great at explaining everything to me. I’m extremely forgetful and tend to forget to schedule appointments or when they are. Jess is always there to help me out and calls to remind me.
