Alaskan did the winter HVAC check up as part of the 3-year warranty package I purchased that was supposed to include free labor and 20% parts discount. They charged me $200 for labor, but flushed my hot water heater for free.

Couldn't ask for better service from Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating and it's very appreciated. They come out within an hour of calling which is such a relief, especially during an incredibly hot summer. It's seems like it's always the time when there is an issue. We have multiple properties and they are always incredibly professional and show an urgency to help us out. 100% 10 Star Company!

The technician that we met today (Nick) was extremely helpful and professional. Nick explained everything we needed to know in a genuinely sincere manner. He made a solid 1st impression!
I'm sticking with Nick & Alaska Air.

We are grateful for Earl. No hard sell and straight talk diagnosis. He got us up a running in 15 mins. He had a crazy big inventory of parts with him. We will be call him when we replace this system.

My ac we t out about 8 pm. ERlL found the problem right away. The part was costly, not his fault. Went over what was needed for an old unit, so we would know what to expect. I would use this company again

My AC failed two years ago in June. The timing couldn't have been worse, but I called around and had Alaskan come take a look to see if they could fix it. The unit was ancient, and the repair cost was pretty high, so I elected to replace it. They talked me into a Bosch unit, which was the "premium" option. They got started right away, the techs were friendly and knowledgeable, and I had working AC a day or two after the initial service call, which was great. They majorly struggled to get the unit working with my Nest thermostat, and suggested their own instead. Then they couldn't get that one working either. It took about a month before the unit was fully functional, but it blew cold air in the meantime so I chocked it up to growing pains or new technology. They email every time before they send a tech, so I know exactly when the last visit was. Fast forward to winter, the heat doesn't work. They sent another tech out, and they were able to get it working. Fast forward to next summer, the first time I turned on the AC, it didn't work.

After a couple appointments, they ended up having to replace my compressor, which was a little disconcerting, but I was glad they got it working and didn't charge me. This summer, when I went to turn it on for the first time, no cold air AGAIN. They said there was a leak, and it wouldn't be covered under the warranty, so I paid 1100 for them to put sealant and fresh refrigerant into the unit, which is pretty upsetting considering the cost of the new unit. I told the tech about the problems I had previously, and he said "yeah I saw the notes, we put you through the ringer for sure".

I felt like my warranty should have been extended to the day they FINISHED the initial install, not the day the crane lowered it onto my roof, and the dozen or more service calls I had in the meantime should have factored into their decision to leave me high and dry on a near $20,000 install. After talking to another tech on one of my jobsites, I found out the "Bosch" unit they installed is just a rebranded Nordyne unit, which has a reputation for leaking. It was very hard to research the Bosch, which is because I should have looked up reviews for Nordyne, which aren't great. It also saved me very little money on my bill, which was a surprise considering the age of my previous unit.

Overall I feel like I was sold a mid tier unit at top cost, and they didn't stand behind it when they stood to lose a little money. I have zero faith that the unit will blow cold come next season, and I don't want to give them any more of my money. I never complained when I was having the initial issues, always assumed they were doing their best, and now I pretty much feel like they took advantage of my kindness.

Since they will no longer honor their warranty, I have no reason to call them again, and I guess I'll have to find a new contractor when the time comes. I'm a residential contractor, so I will be sure to tell my customers and superintendents to stay away from Alaskan. I already talked my customer in a 10,000 sqft home out of using them to replace all of his units, he went with Trane, not sure what company. Why not 1 star? They showed up every time they said they would, and their techs were always professional and friendly, so I want my review to be fair to the guys actually working on the unit, this review is for management.

Buyer Beware! They came out to repair my 88 year old mother’s air conditioner. The tech was there for an hour, replaced a part that probably cost around $100.00 and charged her $875.00. When I reached out to the company and asked for a breakdown of the costs, I was told by a manger that they are a flat rate company and don’t break out their costs. Wish we had shopped around for service before using these guys. Price gouging at it’s finest! Do your homework. If you want to overpay for flat rate service, use this company.

Freddie did a Great Job. Alaskan Air had installed our old two (2) Trane Systems and now our newest two (2) Lennox Systems. We've purchased the 3 year preventive maintenance plan with Alaskan Air that we've had for over 12 years now too. Therefore, we should be a valued customer, but apparently we're not.
Unfortunately, when this preventive maintenance plan expires in Dec 2024, Alaskan Air has informed me that they Will Not allow me to sign another 3 year preventive maintenance plan. Because I have Engineer, Design and Contract Construction background - my knowledge has put me in a bad place, but I don't do the work. I am just another consumer and customer like everyone else. I'd still like to continue business relations with Alaskan Air Conditioning for and with the two Lennox systems they installed for our home.
Hope the owner and general manager reconsiders.

Called alaskan air, set up appointment, while on the phone, I relayed every detail about the issues, told age of unit, told how we wanted a repair not a replacement as we can not afford to replace at 25 to 30k. Jeremy arrived, refused the job, saying the unit was old and did not want the liability of even touching a single wire nor screw. I contacted this company because of ads on kslx and reviews. I guess if you have a new or newer ac unit perhaps this company can help.

The whole process from start to the end went flawlessly. We even purchased a service plan. I have dealt with a lot of ac companies in the past and these guys are without a doubt at the top.
