“One-size-fits-all prescription leads to overdose”
I came here to get an ADHD diagnosis and was impressed by their promptness in getting me in for an appointment. I passed with flying colors (obvious sarcasm) and got diagnosed with ADHD. They did the test in the wrong order (their words) and then set up an appointment to talk. I talked with a “Dr. ” Thomas Pearson, if you can call him that who asked me some vague questions about my experience. This was probably ten minutes of talking, after which he deemed it necessary I get prescribed Adderall. I don’t even need to begin to explain why this is a major red flag, but I am naive and trusting so the very same day I went and got the prescription.
It was 10mg per dose. He told me to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon (whatever that means) without ever asking my height or weight, my previous responses to medication, or any other comorbidities that might be worsened by the medication.
What happened was, on day three of taking it, I was finally able to do two doses in a day as he told me to. However, because he never told me what time of day to take them, I took them maybe 7 hours apart and overdosed. I had cold sweats, nausea, a panic attack, and was awake all night scratching my eyes out because the pain was severe. I didn’t say anything because I was scared to talk about it to anyone, but I know now that he was irresponsible in prescribing me any medication at all not knowing a thing about me.
I had another meeting scheduled with him that he never showed up to, and upon trying to follow up, I received no word back. I haven’t gone to therapy since, my condition has gotten much much worse, but I am glad at least, that I did not go back to these irresponsible people.

I am posting about a year after the incident.

Dr. Bradshaw stabilized my mental state. I feel so happy that I never felt before. My doctor listens and cares. He is easy to talk to. I am grateful that I found Dr. Bradshaw. I recommend Alevea for anybody that has depression or any kind of mental issues.

Overall, I am extremely grateful for the care I have received at Alevea Health. The staff is highly skilled and compassionate, and they have helped me to improve my mental health and well-being. I highly recommend Alevea Health to anyone seeking help for mental health challenges.

Chris Bradshaw may not be a PHD but he out performed the other 5 PHDs I have seen over the last 13 years.

Yep! There’s a reason why they have all these 5-star reviews. My suggestion is to trust those reviews because they are all 100% spot-on!

The modern and intuitive systems Alevea utilizes for everything from initial paperwork to telehealth appointments makes getting mental health care so easy. Topher is very kind and easy to talk to. 10/10

Lisa was amazing. Shuntelle isn't very caring. Doesn't make eye contact doesn't care to really communicate. Was more worried about filling prescriptions and ending call. RACHAEL IS THE BEST

My provider Christopher Bradshaw was amazing. I felt seen and heard and most importantly understood. I didn’t feel rushed in my visit and I didn’t get the sense that I was just another patient.

Setting up my appointment online was a lot easier than I expected it to be. The process didn't take too long.

This is the second practice I’ve gone to for medications. At the first, I felt like I wasn’t being listened to and they just wanted to put me on as many medications as they could. With Rachel, I feel like she actually cares. I’ve gotten blood work done and I was incredibly vitamin deficient. I’ve tried ten different psychiatric medications in the past 4 years and the combination I’m on is actually making me feel better. I experience the full range of emotions, not just depressed or numb. I feel like I can actually discuss my treatment and she listens to any concerns I have. Being on my meds has allowed me to get out and see the world. I’m doing things that I hadn’t done in a decade because I got no enjoyment out of it. I recommend Alevea to anyone that asks me about my medications and mental health.

In my first appt with Christopher Bradshaw, he was kind, informative, and seemed to genuinely care about my mental health history and experiences with other doctors and what brought me here. He asked lots of questions and took the time to explain potential options in terms I'd understand. I wish I had contacted his office a long time ago!
