I have been going there for almost 2 decades and enjoy everyone there. Dr. Amy is fabulous, caring and listens. She's great with children as well as we adults.

The staff and docs on duty are friendly and helpful. Dr. Amy is always upbeat and attentive, and will take time to listen and give advices accordingly.
I should have seen Dr. Amy on a much earlier date to take care of my misery if not for a misunderstanding between a scheduler and me dating back to the end of 2022. I don't know if she had misinformed me by telling me I had to lay off my allergy meds for at least 10 days before I could take my "skin and back" tests, which was later refuted by Dr. Amy herself when I first saw her in my first appointment: I ONLY needed to lay off Claritin for 5-7 days, not the other meds!
For that misinformation I had delayed making appointment to receive my helpful tests and treatment from Dr. Amy for half a year, during which was spring allergy season that always put me in misery. My family practitioner finally got tired of giving me steroid shots and Prednisone to help me fend off attacks, so she insisted that I see Dr. Amy.
Schedulers/receptionists should not play doctors themselves, and should follow to the "T" what doctors had instructed them to do and say! If they don't, maybe they should pursue a degree themselves, and be doctors in their own offices.

Most pleasant experience, they listen to all things I was concerned with. They also offered many things I did not consider. A wonderful experience that I passed on to m6 friends and family.

From doctor/PA visits to getting my injections and dealing with the office staff, I have always had a great experience at Allergy & Asthma Associates. They really care about their patients!

Dr. Wagelie has been a life changer for us. My oldest son has severe allergy induced asthma. Dr. Wagelie takes the time to give personal care, and genuinely cares for her patients. Having a chronically sick child can be hard for everyone, but having a healthcare team like Dr. Wagelie's makes all of the difference. Defiantly worth the wait for a new patient appointment.

Office person Farrah very nice, Scheduler "MARY" not at all. Flat out RUDE and ABRUPT. No mistaking that she is not there to be helpful in any way. Self-referrals are NOT ACCEPTABLE so do not bother.the final message is Go ahead and SUFFER because we do not care one whit about you since you do not have the exact referral that we want - YOU DO NOT GET HELP HERE! (even though my doctor has generated the referral, but she wasn't interested in that because she didn't have it in her rude, mean, uncaring hand at that very moment)
Would take stars away from other reviews if I could and give MARY a big FAT NEGATIVE STAR.

I saw six doctors in four months trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Dr. Wagelie-Steffen was able to properly diagnose me and get me started on a proper medication regimen to treat my chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). She was answering questions before I had a chance to ask them. She was thorough in her explanations of what was happening with me! Those four months were torture and I am so grateful to get for helping me figure this all out!

When I called on a Thursday to make an appointment they asked for my information, which I informed them that it is food allergens, and I was told I would be called back with the appointment. On Monday I called to make sure I had not been forgetten about, I was told it can take up to 72 hours to schedule one. Something that should have been told on the first phone call. Tuesday I received a call about my appointment. I was asked to fill out first appointment paperwork and to give a list of allergens/potential allergens in regards to seasonal. I explained it was not seasonal but food allergies. She said fill out the paperwork but she'd have to speak to the doctor to see if they can do that. I sent the paperwork off and a couple days a Mary called and told me the doctor requested additonal information. Including symptoms, 1st and last reaction, when do system occur and how I treat them. For each food item. Keep in mind there are at least a 100 questionable foods. It runs in the family with proof. I inquired as to why the information was needed as I wasn't completely sure was the allergens were and the reaction to each, they very. I also inquired why the Doctor needed the information. Mary explained it was for my treatment. I stated there is no treatment for food allergies, just avoidance. And that I needed the test so I knew what to avoid. Not for treatment. And Mary stated she never said for treatment. I laughed and didn't say anything. She said so should I take your referral off or are your going to do it. I said just send me the doctors request. She followed stating I needed to respond to everything before they made an appointment. Which is different from what the email stated. Which I pasted below.

1) Specific symptoms to each food listed
2) 1st and last time she reacted to that food
3) How long after ingestion symptoms occur
4) How you treat the symptoms

Per DR Wagelie-Steffen must have this list one week prior to visit.

The office was rude and couldn't answer my questions. And didn't make an effort to get me in contact with someone who could. I decided to go to another office that requested none of that information only what I was potentially allergic to. They also made an appointment that day rather than waiting 72 hours plus the weekend. It is extremely disappointing that this business treats the clients as a problem rather than communicating with them to solve their problems.

I have yet to go to my appointment and it was scheduled months ago, but I got a call since I was on the cancellation list and the lady on the phone wasn't very pleasant. I have little ones and was told I can't bring them because they would get in the way. She corrected herself and tried to rephrase by saying its so the doctor can focus on you. I'm sorry she doesn't like kids but unfortunately I will be bringing them. I don't have a sitter that day so I hope she was new and learning how to talk to patients. I really hope the doctor will be different as I have heard great things.
