Allied Universal, Phoenix AZ

When I started with Allied, they were okay. But, I found out that they lie during your orientation. They tell you that they will cover the cost of your license training. Lies. They will have you go through them fir the unarmed guard training, but if you are scheduled to work that day, you will have an unpaid day off. And they really dont like when you want to go with a different trainer for an Armed llcense than the one that they use, who will have you drive out to the middle of nowhere out in Gila Bend without an address.

Then, they will fire you for "violating" the anti-bullying policy when you were the one injured.

They also have ways to NOT pay you overtime, which their clients do not know about.

It doesn't help that you have to have your nose buried so far up brown town of the management to get anywhere. And management has no idea what it's really like in the field.

So im not so sure about this place *Note i did not work for them but i called the office on central in downtown Phoenix and they said they dont have any offices in North Phoenix so not really sure what to believe on this location if its the REAL ALLIED UNIVERSAL!

Gina Renee West, the branch manager of the Phoenix office, is completely unprofessional and frustrating to deal with. She harasses specific officers based upon racial and ethnic perceptions, also. Several of us are in the process of filing formal complaints about her with the appropriate bureaus. The company is for the most part tolerable and adequate except for this individual.

I worked 3 weeks at the most boring site getting paid $11. I received my first check after 3 weeks and only got paid for 1 week of work. I finally received what I thought would be full 2 weeks of work on my check and it only says $42. I called the office to see what the issue was and it seem like she clearly understood the problem before I can even go into details about it so know I feel like you guys are intentionally screwing people over. She said she will look at the time sheets and give me a call back I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK I called 100 times already and no one has answered the phone smh

If I could give them a zero I would. I am glad now that I didn't get a job as I had not read these reviews. I travel an hour I'm traffic to get there. They told me that they didn't have anything worth my driving to. That told me volumes about them. I sent a message about my experience. They replied with a message of "thanks for applying, while your background is impressive we have decided to go in a different direction".

I have more experience than all of them together. The place was full of people coming and going with uniforms. That should have been an indication. I'm glad after reading these reviews that it confirm what I felt.

The address of this security Company at the Directory is incorrect it may be deliberately or otherwise, Company should take notice as visitor had to face difficulty approaching their office.

None with this company but a security company reviews can make and brake it, especially I will not work for a company that cannot retain their employees.

All I have to say is. Gena West! You have been warned. She is driving this company to the ground! She had me move furniture in her own home while I was in full uniform. Do NOT work here. They have no guards and you’ll be working 7 days a week for months. You’ve been warned (again)

I was with them for 3 years and the company accused me of invading people's homes in uniform.the company has non experience employees and chain of command is not what you think they are.

I was driving behind one of their cars today and the driver opened his door while driving and threw out a plastic drink cup. I had to get his plate number at the light because he was speeding (at least 50 in a 40mph zone) and swerving between cars. I wanted to lodge a complaint on their website but it is down. After reading all these other reviews, I guess I'm not surprised.

The manager never had the schedules done in time. You were expected to guess when and where to be. He also was difficult to reach. Worst manager ever.

I worked there for 5 years. They treated me like I fragile because I had seizures. They fired me claiming that I fell asleep on post and they claim they had to wake me up through text message. If I was asleep I wouldn't of responded to the text. When I tried to fight my case they didn't want to hear it. There was only one supervisor that had good communication skills.no one else did. I wouldn't recommend working for them

This company is the most HORRIBLE and unprofessional place I have ever been apart of. It takes hours four managers to answer their phone or even get back to you. All of the managers there are rude and act as if they don’t care because they have other businesses that’s bringing them money in. This company needs to be shut down immediately! I really don’t understand how they are still available.

I wouldn’t recommend working here. There communication skills are HORRIBLE, they tell you one thing and then when you do it, all of a sudden it’s something Totally different. The head people talks to you like your beneath them with no respect and it’s hard to get in contact with anyone in the office. They also don’t care that you have a life outside of work just like them.

Don't go here - HR Director dont know and care about your pay if they screw up on the address for your first check d they send you out to a post with little or no information on the post - If the tell you your Metro PCS you going to watch a store that is not open and no contact information if something goes wrong

Absolute worst company I have ever worked for. Unlawful staff and if you ever meet Gina West, the nightmares will never end. Honestly apply somewhere else. You will get nowhere with this company, they treat you like you are nothing but a dollar sign. They bill standard guards out for more than $18/hr but yet you will always make minimum wage. In most contracts with their clients there are clauses that require you to obtain a raise after 6 months of employment at any participating site, but Gina West and everybody else in the company does not obide by any contract because it “eats at her quaterly bonus. ” Good luck

Horrible company just like the others out there. Broken promises and garbage wages. Expect you to work like a dog for pennies.

Please, if you are looking for employment, find an in house company that will give you the wage you deserve along with benefits.

ZERO stars. This company is downright just horrible. The office management is a joke. Can't ever get a phone call through, no one ever answers. They don't care about their security guards. Can't get answers to simple problems. Don't work for this place, don't even bother to look into it.

If I could give this company no stars I would. This company is the WORST company and do not take care of their employees. They never get back to you with a prompt response for any issues you have.

During my time there I was sad to see guard quality take a nosedive. Most of the office personnel are great to work with but the few bad apples are also the ones who run the show. Sadly, after watching fellow lower management leave in droves (+40% in three months), I decided not to renew my guard card and left. Unless you like being disregarded as human trash, don't apply.
