American Handyman Service, Tucson AZ

Jamie was professional and did a fine job with the minor sliding door repair/cleaning. He was unable to properly replace a broken deadlatch for one of our custom doors, which is understandable. The bill was excessive for the work performed and when we reviewed the invoice he showed me what his supervisor had quoted for the maintenance to the sliding door. I think that the estimate/quote would have been appropriate if the rollers had been replaced, but not just cleaned. I will not be using this service again, although this is not a reflection on Jamie.

We have used American Handyman Services several times now for a variety of jobs and have always been very happy with the work they do. Chris has done our last three projects and we have been very happy with his work. Most recently we needed our kitchen "restored" after a water leak under the slab (no water damage) had required a cabinet, countertop, and tiles be removed. He came in and put it all back together so we could have a functioning kitchen again. He did a great job! I have recommended American Handyman Services to my family, friends, and neighbors and won't hesitate to call on them again in the future.

I called up American Handyman Service about a week and a half ago for WiFi, USB, bathroom fan timers to be installed and two ceiling fans to be replaced. They were flat out awesome. Their price an hour was fantastic, the workmanship professional, and Frank was knowledgeable about everything he was doing. Also, Frank was right on time, respected our residence, professional, and great to talk to. I would highly recommend American Handyman Service they were fantastic for us, and they did the job right just like it says on their trucks!

Frank was the handyman that came to my house to do some sheetrock repair. He quoted me 59.00 an hour for 8 hours. After being here about an hour and half, he came back with a helper. The helper was suppose to be the best. I ended up paying double the price and the whole job looked like hell. Frank came back to try and fix the part were the best sheetrocker did and it still looks like a bad repair job. I will not use these guys again. Very dissatisfied.

The wood that was replaced under the eaves looks better than it ever did! It looks amazing- and it was done so quickly!

I had been putting off calling someone for a long time because I didn’t know who to call and I happened to see a few trucks on my normal morning commute. I called and got on the schedule right away! We had Jaime come out to our home and repair some things that had been bothering me for a while. He was professional and did an excellent job! Thanks so much guys, I’m glad I found our handyman!

I’m so glad I called American Handyman. I had several projects I needed help with (security door installations, siding and door/window frame repair, interior wall repair, to name a few), and Lee showed up bright and early and dug right in. He answered all my questions with clear, concise answers, and made suggestions on things I was wavering on, and was very knowledgeable in virtually every aspect of home repair and remodeling. I’m looking forward to having Lee return next week to upgrade my bathroom vanity sink. He’s given me some great ideas! Thanks, Lee!

I was very happy with the gentleman that came and worked at my house. We was great and knew exactly how to fix all my issues. I have alot of repairs so he is coming back for 2 more days and was very helpful with creative ways to solve my repair problems. I would highly recommend him and his company to my friends

I had some repairs completed recently by Wes Moore (with his assistant Brad) and I couldn't be more pleased. They were completely professional, did an excellent job (in far less time than I had imagined) and left the area clean and neat. They started on time, had all necessary supplies, and worked diligently until the job was done. Some other companies weren't even willing to come out and give me an estimate, but American Handyman Service was cooperative and helpful. I can't recommend them highly enough, and requested business cards to give to my neighbors.

Update: After writing this review Wes’ services dropped off dramatically. He stopped doing everything I praised him for above, and when I tried to discuss the matter with him he responded with inappropriate & off-color jokes. I can’t bring myself to recommend such a disrespectful narcissist, it’s a shame he couldn’t maintain his initial facade.

Do not waste your time with these guys. While the person who came out (Bill) seemed knowledgeable about what we needed done, we went through the whole laundry list of things we "might" want them to do for our bathroom remodel. I never told them I would be hiring one person to do everything. He spent a few hours at our house looking at it all and asking questions, etc. After waiting 5 days for the estimate, it was broken down with separate charges for the plumbing and the drywall/tile as its own item. I was also going to pay them to do hourly work to work on some support structure items. I decided to hire them for the hourly work and the plumbing, but a day or two after they took my deposit, they called and said they would only do that work if I hired them for all the work.

I can tell you their prices for doing the other work were exorbitant relative to other quotes from businesses that actually do that work full time so it felt like extortion. Just be upfront when you come out to look at the job. You claim to be a service that can do big and small jobs and everything in between, but then would only do the work if I hired you for everything.

The service requested included six repair items from electrical outlets, fire detection repairs, drywall repair, and securing an attic door pull down. The service man was on time and moved efficiently from one project to the next. He repaired each area as though he was working on his own home. I highly recommend American Handyman. Thank you for work well done.

We have used American Handyman a few times now for repairs we needed around the house as well as mounting shelves, assembling furniture and hanging artwork. They have always been on time, professional and the work has been done efficiently and quickly. We are pleased with what they do for us and whenever we get a list of new projects we need done we definitely call them again. We have been extremely impressed with the service.

I was amazed at the job Mike did. He was prompt, very professional and knowledge on how to install a heavy glass shower door. The price was more than fair. I’m passing their number on to my friends.

American Handyman / For a job done right is responsive, thoroughly professional, and transparent about estimates, costs, and what they can and cannot do. The quality of work is first rate. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and provide helpful suggestions. It's also worth noting that there were no upselling or other pressure tactics to buy services I didn't need. I have recommended this company to our HOA as a resource.

I’m honestly stunned at how fast, affordable, and friendly this experience was. After so many bad experiences with contractors, this was beyond refreshing. Felt like I made a new friend. Thank you Wes, and American Handyman.

Jamie our technician is a true craftsman. Knowledgeable from his years of experience and the quality of his work I would rate him a 10 out of 10. After he left I called the owner to let him know how happy and satisfied we are with the job. In days when finding someone to do the work is hard enough, to find someone as skilled as Jamie is was a blessing. We would highly recommend them to family and friends.

I just had Frank to my home to fix a shower problem. I was very impressed with his professionalism and how quick they were able to help me. I would highly recommend and will use them in the future. Thanks for your help. P. S. Very reasonably priced.
