Dr. Beck has been absolutely amazing in the care and concern to get my hearing aids programmed to the best possible solution for my hearing needs. When the original Oticons presented many Bluetooth issues, she was more than willing to exchange to the Phonak brand which had a better blue-tooth reputation. While I have been a challenge, she has hung in there faithfully to resolve every issue I brought up. Definitely worth a 5-star rating!

I have been hearing-challenged for several years. I used a hearing aid office in Tucson and received a set of hearing aids that were essentially earplugs. I was so very disappointed and frustrated. While surfing through Youtube searching for information on different hearing aids I ran across Dr Cliff Olson's videos. Listening to several I became convinced that Dr. Olson had superior knowledge and understanding of the hearing-challenged. A year ago he changed my life with hearing aids that transformed my world from being a somewhat 'deaf' bystander to an active participant in life. There is not a more thorough audiologist who cares more for his patients that Dr. Cliff Olson.

I was so impressed with this place as soon as I called. First with the receptionist who was friendly and helpful and got my mom in for ear wax removal the next day. Dr Balderas was attentive and careful with my 100 year old mother and had great information for the time between visits. I would recommend Applied Hearing Solutions to anyone who is looking for quality treatment for your hearing needs!

I have had job related hearing loss for years that required waivers to perform certain jobs. Hearing tests over the years stated that hearing aids would not help. 12 years ago on the advice of my primary care physician (PCP) I saw an audiologist and found that newer hearing aid technology could help. The improvement was moderate but the sounds were tinny and I didn't wear them very often. Finally, after constant pressure from my wife and consultation with my PCP, I went to see Dr. Altus at Applied Hearing Solutions. The range of hearing tests administered by Dr. Altus went way beyond any previous tests. The tests focused on hearing and understanding. Frequency loss, volume, and understanding of words and letters were tested. With the help of computer tools he was able to thoroughly analyze my hearing deficiencies and provide a solid recommendation for hearing aids. My previous experience with hearing aids was an exam followed by a fitting and then return every six months for an adjustment. With Dr. Altus the first appointment started with a consultation that, included my wife. The focus of the consultation was on the day to day activities where I struggled to hear and understand and which of those activities were most important for me to be able to hear and understand. That was followed by a comprehensive hearing exam, an assessment and explanation of my hearing issues, a recommendation and an explanation of the program options and warranties if I decided to purchase new hearing aids. After selecting the hearing aids the devices are ordered, a fitting appointment is scheduled. The services by Applied Hearing Solutions does not stop there. Three follow up adjustment appointments are scheduled, each two weeks apart. Dr. Altus asked that after each appointment, my wife and I keep notes on any problems - fitting issues, hearing issues, device issues, connectivity issues to cell phones, computers, etc. These issues are addressed at the next appointment, or sooner, if warranted. Dr. Altus seems genuinely concerned about the patient and eager to help improve the patients quality of hearing. The front office staff are friendly, courteous and efficient.

I had my semi-annual check-up with Dr. Kelsey Beck today at Applied Hearing Solutions and was quite pleased with her attention to details and her ability to explain everything. She is quite knowledgeable and made the visit a very good experience.

I have been wearing hearing aids since 1972, and this is by far the best audiology office I have experienced. I have had 3 visits with Cliff Olson, so far, and for several reasons I am satisfied. 1. He doesn’t talk down to me. My whole life is involved with hearing issues, so words like Pinna, Concha, Stapes, etc, are normal for me. He has no difficulty explaining new vocabulary and concepts as well. 2. He has confirmed several intuitions I had about my own hearing that other audiologists dismissed as just an ignorant customer’s babbling. 3. He is willing to speak frankly about the strengths and weaknesses of various brands and models without the typical corporate propriety that leaves a buyer in the dark. 4. He CHARGES money for his service, rather than simply expecting you to buy a new hearing aid! You would not think it is a good thing to be charged, but trust me. Would you go to a mechanic for “free” who really just wanted to get you in a new car? 5. He is creative. In just a short time of knowing him, he is willing to think, and try different solutions. He is not stuck on a script, he is a real person. 6. I can hear better than I ever have in my life. In noise, restaurants, whatever. I can hear the bass lines in music I have been hearing since teen years, as if with the tracks were removed. I am watching tv without CC (sometimes.) And yeah, it took me 50 years to find one like this. Don’t be like me.

I just had my regular 6 month check up at Dr. CLIFF'S office.
I've been a customer for 3 years and can say that I am very pleased with the quality of service they provide. My hearing loss is quite severe and the time that was initally spent to adjust my hearing aids is truly appreciated. There are hearing aid doctors in my town but I choose to drive over an hour through Phoenix traffic because I know that I'm getting an honest best practice service from them.
Dr. Kelsey Beck just spent a good amount of time cleaning my hearing aids and removing a large amount of humidity from them, they are so much clearer now and the volume is up also. I appreciate these Doctors because they really do care about you and their service is proof of that.
