My puppy went in for reactivity to people and other animals. After only one session with my puppy and some changes she is able to be around others without any reactivity! I am so grateful! We went to the dog park and she had no issue being around the other dogs. I would never be able to do it with out that session. Thank you!

My 1 yr old golden doodle had emergency major surgery for eating rocks. This behavior had to stop. I called Ardent and Jason is teaching me how to use the E-collar and help her with this deadly habit. And the training from Jason has improved my dogs behavior tremendously! He is now helping me with both of my of doodles and the training is awesome. Jason is great!

We rescued a dog from the humane society two months ago, a wonderful, energetic, happy year-old male Pointer-Cattle Dog mix. But he was way too excited around new people and new dogs and I wasn't able to help him control himself in those situations. We interviewed three dog trainers in the Verde Valley and went with Jason at Ardent K9.

We just finished our third training session with Jason and Rider is still wonderful, energetic, and happy, but I'm able to help him control himself in new situations. I'm as relieved as I am happy and can recommend Jason without reservation.

Jason is always helping me understand the whys behind the right and wrong ways to correct and reward. I have so much more confidence around Rider and I know he's happier. We both enjoy our hikes and trips to Tractor Supply.

You know how when you're around certain people - a doctor, a plumber, a teacher - and you JUST KNOW they're the "real deal"? They know their stuff, cold. The don't try to impress you, they're focused completely on what they're doing, and it seems effortless for them? That's the feeling I get around Jason. He's the real deal.

Using a dog trainer like Jason isn't cheap, although he was one of the least expensive trainers I interviewed. But if you see the time spent with your dog as time to relax and enjoy, as quality time, as fun time, you owe it to yourself and your dog to find someone like Jason. Jason and Kim are amazing! They came highly recommended and easily live up to that reputation. Jason worked with 3 of my dogs and I am extremely pleased with the results. Ardent K9 Training is amazing! I have owned GSD’s for years and worked with many trainers and they have by far been the best I have ever worked with. So professional and go above and beyond to help ensure our pup gets the best training possible. They get back to me right away with any questions I have and even send videos to help with any issues we may be having with our pup. We are currently overseas in Italy and have a 7 month old German Shepherd that has already surpassed all of our others in training and Jason was willing to work with me via virtual training and it has been amazing and such a blessing with this new pup! I have learned so much! We are already brushing up our advanced obedience training and starting on scent training. Jason and Kim are really great! I've had a dog since I can remember and I don't know why I haven't done this sooner! Obedience training from skilled professionals never crossed my mind. Being in a rural area your choices and options are limited. Tim and I are so grateful to have met this couple. They are the *business* when it comes to dogs and obedience training! I contacted Ardent K-9 Training after my powerful, unruly and fearful rescue Great Dane tried to rough up a friendly neighbor boy and stray dog who had found their way to my yard. No one was hurt but I absolutely could not get control of my Beau. Jason and Kim met with us the next day, evaluated us (truly, humans and dogs!) and have provided me with very effective tools and methods to become the pack leader. Jason’s teaching style is confident, calm and patient. I can now recognize Beau’s triggers and behaviors and redirect him before he escalates. He loves all the praise he gets from me, and he is (indeed, WE are) so much more confident on our walks and outings.
Walking Beau is no longer a struggle. No pulling, no trying to fight every dog we see, no hiding behind me. It’s fun!

Jason has patiently worked with me to turn my pack of four JR terriers and one chi-weenie into a manageable team. He explains the behavior modification process in terms that make sense to me.
I recommend Ardent Training to any dog owner who wants to learn how get inside their dog’s head and make their dogs safe and fun to be around. I know Jason trains to do more with working dogs, but those are my main goals.
