If you are black don’t go to them they hate black people I’ve never felt so uncomfortable the way they treated me

I would seriously consider this practice before giving your time to them. The back and forth they put me through was terrible. Not answering the phones, leaving multiple messages and them calling back days later. Saying we were good to go and scheduling us, then the next day saying oops we need one more thing and cancelling. That literally happened for WEEKS, over and over. This whole office had terrible communication. Desiree, Avril to name a few names. I got to see the therapist once (she was great), and guess what, found out we didn’t have authorization for her visit and may not be covered after I have emails of them telling me insurance was good to go and we could see her! Never made any other appointment after that because the office was so disorganized. They do NOT care about you. I had to work and do their job for them and it was so exhausting. Trust me when I tell you do not go here. Most of the people on the phone don’t have children to even understand how important this is to you. They are there for a paycheck and that’s it. Please, please do not waste your time with this company. Look elsewhere and save yourself disappointment. Shame on them!

My daughter has had her OT therapist for several yrs. She is great. I've been very happy with AZ AUTISM.

My kids were referred to this clinic in 2021 (around April I believe) for Speech and OT. After a little back and forth, we lined up evaluations and eventually services. After about 6 months, our OT stopped showing up to appointments and was not answering my messages. I called the clinic (after not being contacted by anyone) and was told the therapist had to leave due to medical issues. My kids were then put back on the waitlist and I never heard from anyone again. I still haven't heard from anyone. If we were to move back to the area, I would most definitely ask to be referred to a different clinic.

If you are a person who loves and thrives on communication, this is not the company for you. I’ve had a speech therapist invite me to her home the very first day of services! The other therapist never showed up even when we agreed on set times and another never confirmed appointments. The office staff are hard to get in contact with and will take WEEKS to respond. If you don’t call to follow up they will not call you.

Arizona Autism provides excellent service for our daughter through Laur! She is a very talented OT! Laur uses a variety of skills and techniques to accomplish the goals. She is very resourceful and our daughter loves her OT sessions!

I work for this company, independently and I never had issues. I work and do a lot more for my clients, to understand them. It should be that way.

I was a provider for Arizona Autism for about 1 year. I was excited at first to start working with them because they made it out to be the best company. But after about 2 months, they started to show their true colors. They cared more about signing families up than they did keeping their providers and families happy. The admins were greatly lacking in the communication department and training for their providers and their admins were mediocre. They did the bare minimum when it came to providing the proper knowledge and training to their providers. They cared more about the money then they did about providing great service and care. The CPR trainer was more focused on selling snacks and drinks than providing proper training. She had to have mentioned 2-3 times don’t forget to stay energized. If you need you can always buy a drink.

Then per HIPPA law and article 9 training we are not supposed to dispense medication to any client; which I found out after I left the company and went to another, but they tried to make us when we were on shift. They said they would even provide the training for it. I ended up doing the training and it was just a 10 minute slide show that the HCBS coordinator went over with you. As well a couple specific questions that needed to be answered.

I ended up getting fired after a year because they found 3 very small infractions. Like when I called out because I strained my lower back when I went to the gym the night before and couldn’t walk or drive safely. They continued to give me advice on maybe I shouldn’t be going to the gym. To me that is not okay for them to say and is unprofessional in many ways. But I was written up; like I said they don’t care about their providers health or well being.

Then another one was, it was New Year’s Eve and I had asked my adult client if they would like to go celebrate new years and go see fireworks at the mall and get ice cream afterwards. They ended up having an episode because I didn’t know the client didn’t like that and I tried to calm them down and the mom ended up helping due to the client not wanting my help. The mom then told the HCBS coordinator and I was written up for what the mom said and she said I wanted to bring fireworks to shoot off. Which was completely untrue and I ended loosing the client.

Then another client I ended up having had a sibling that was a minor and the sibling ended up while I was on shift and I was the only adult around attempted to commit suicide by running in front of a car and I grabbed him before the sibling could get hit. I then proceeded to call the police and a crisis team to handle as he was not my client and the parents didn’t like that I did that and I was fired from that client and written up for not calling the HCBS coordinator first. I’m CPR/First Aid/AED trained they tell us in the case of any emergency to call 911 first and then call the proper people that need to be contacted. That is what I did and I was written up for using my training correctly. Not to mention this training I have had almost my whole life as my mom is a cardiac and vascular ultrasound tech and she always had my brother and I do the classes. Never once was I told to call anyone else before 911.

This is one of the most poorly run service providers I've used. I inquired about being a parent provider. It took months to schedule a meeting, which for some reason had to be in person. The meeting was less than 5min.and was just asking about the schedule of hours we needed help. To me that could've been done over the phone or through zoom.

I went through the training process and 4 months later I'm still waiting to get put on the schedule so I can clock in.

Do yourself a favor and go with kidsAZ
They pay more per hour and you get paid training.

Dare I say the scheduling staff are incompetent. The inconsistency between everyone makes it difficult to get a call back so be ready to have to stay on top of everyone about getting what it is you need. I was told on three separate occasions a therapist wanted to speak to me and was going to call me that day before I could make an appointment but never received the call. Crystal had advised me that if she STILL hadn’t called me that day to reach out to her the next morning so she can take care of whatever it was that therapist wanted to know. I called, left a voice mail, and no response as of almost a week later.
