Went in for a long overdue eye exam, did a few basic tests and spoke with Dr. Suiter who seemed very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to explain certain things about vision and how it changes with age. I recommend this practice and Dr. Suiter because I had a great experience overall.

Had to have another opthamologist rewrite my script. I returned twice trying to get the prescription corrected. I had to take my eyeglasses OFF to read. Ridiculous. This was 2 years ago.

I liked this place until today. I did not like how I was treated when they had scheduled my mom appt incorrectly.and had ask us to move the appt. I work for a doctor appt myself and the accommodations was not the greatest. The suggestion was we can still see you today but you will have to get here at this certain time otherwise we will have to rs to a different day. The manager didn't really try to fix the problem and instead was more like you either take it or leave it. I don't appreciate that at all. I had to rush home and drive like a crazy person to get her to her appt. This is not how you practice good customer support. I wanted to share this experience in
hoping that this will help the practice understand the importance of patient care.

Overcharged! This place charged $110, more than double what every other doctor has charged for a routine refractive lens exam. Normally it's around $50. They charged an initial amount of $60 calling it a 'co-pay' even though I don't have Vision insurance and was paying cash, then after I saw the doctor they wanted an additional $50 on top of the $60 I already paid to get my Rx.

It was mid-December and I was on a very tight budget and couldn't pay the additional $50 so the rude, nasty receptionist just crumbled up and threw my Rx in the trash. Because I was a patient there for a medical condition, AES then billed my insurance (which didn’t cover optical lens exams) for the $50 exam, got paid (?) by them even though they refused to give me the Rx, then sent me to collections for the balance.

Unethical much? I did call my insurance representative to let them know I never received the Rx & how this office double-charges.

Be aware that there are 14 surgeons and no scheduling system. The scheduler has to call each individual doctor to get an appointment. I'll let the reader decide if this is a patient centered system you want to work with. She said she will call me back after getting in touch with all 14 doctors. I will update this review if I ever get any actual care.

I did get a better response from my web inquiry which was addressed by the call center, which scheduled me with Dr. Brems on Feb. 24, more than a month away. I need to have the surgery by March, so I do not know if this will work out.
