Love this place. Good cause, cool finds and friendly staff! They always have the best furniture too.

This store is enforcing the mask mandate. THANK YOU for caring about your employees and customers!
Prices are usually good. I am a long time thrifter, and I will say that you used to be able to find more treasures here. It is pretty obvious that they are now pulling the best stuff to sell online. I have mixed feelings on this, because they might be making a few extra bucks immediately, but they do risk losing loyal local business for the long term. But I fully support the cause, so they won’t lose me (I just might not come in as often).
The staff is, for the most part, friendly and helpful. The manager is very welcoming and upbeat.

Used to shop here multiple times a week and spend hundreds of dollars. Now it's not even worth my time because they are pulling all of the "good" stuff and selling it on ebay. Sad to see a charity store following in big chain thrift stores and depleting their store of anything worthwhile.

Donating stuff? AZ Humane Society Thrift Store will not help you unload your car.
They wouldn’t even get the door for me. Volunteer stood 5 feed away. This is after:
-Asking cart-pushing volunteer for a cart & was told “These are only for us. ”
-go in the store, ask for a cart, told “No, move the cones and repark first. ”
-reparked in front of the store, “Can I get a cart now? ”
-filled cart, pulling it and two other items up to door.
- open door
- Volunteer is 5 feet away watching me struggle.

Left a Ylp review, AZ H replied with nice apologies and a feedback link.that didn’t work.

I’m donating to Halo and Fearless Kitty. No more Humane Society for me.

I have found amazing things there and the prices are reasonable, my only complaint would be sometimes there is a really weird smell that sometimes I just can't stand.

Great cause and decent products for sale! However, some of the staff can use some coaching and training on their customer service. Whenever I buy something there, a couple of the employees seem to always check the bills that I provide for payment with that counterfeit marker. These were only $10 to $20 dollar bills. When I asked about it, the attendant yesterday said something to the effect of: "I always check bills. I have even checked $5 bills because some lady told me that she got a counterfeit $5 at the casino. "

This would be fine and all if it was the store's policy, however, I don't see these employees doing it to everyone who hands them bills. Maybe it is the way I look, ethnicity, who knows. What I do know is that I will not be returning. Which is sad because I have donated a lot of nice/valuable things to this store because I support the cause. Oh well; moving on.

I was in there yesterday but I had a bad experience with the staff in specific an older women that was working the shift not sure if she was the manager but she was extremely rude in the end. At first she was super nice but then she changed. They had just announced that they were closed so I headed to cash register with my mom. She got the skirts i had in my cart and i told her " can i see them real quick? " And she replied " no it's either yay or nay! " I was extremely shocked of how rude this lady was. I grabbed my skirts and showed my mom while the cashier was checking out my other items. Finally I just put them all there since the Lady looked irritated. I understand your closing and you want to go home but treating customers like that is not okay! I would never treat my customers like that. People that work in customer service need to have more manners and be respectful! Its that simple.

So I would give this store a 5. They have great selection. But recently I’ve had TERRIBLE experience here. I shop here 6 days a week. I would be here 7, but work schedules on Saturday don’t allow 7 days a week.

Anyway, on half off day my fiancé and I found a butcher block table, it was perfect. He’s a chef, our home is small and it was in our range. Her son sat on the table until his mother. (whose name I won’t say) found her items and made her purchase. Therefore we weren’t able to buy the table. We found a desk we needed and bought that. When we bought our desk we told the cashier we would be taking it home at the time of purchase. She was still very addimate to tell us the hold policy “ we can only hold your item for 48 hours. After 48 hours you forfeit the item and your money” we told her that was fine and we took our desk. As I went back every day the following week. The item I wanted, the butcher table was still sitting there. I asked the cashier about buying the item at full price and taking it immediately. They said “no the lady that bought it is a regular and is here twice a day everyday” so why didn’t the lady take her item? After seeing item after item after item on hold for this specific costumer, seeing her son walk into the donation area to shop while she shops the store and leaves items for a week is upsetting when other people could be buying items and other items could be on the floor where her “48 hour holds” sit for a week. She recieves special treatment for some reason which I don’t understand. Today o saw her in the store while her couch was going on day 4 of “48 hour hold”
Soooooo I Craigslisted the item I wanted. The butchers table (I know a con artist when I see one) and saw the half off butcher table that sat there for a week on Craigslist for $125.same one. So this woman just cons the store to resale their items for 3x the price and receives special treatment while she does it.

Always love this place! You can always find something cool and they have amazing clothing sales twice a week. The girls (especially Brenda) absolutely ROCK!

Cool store, excellent cause! Kind employees. Only thing is the items need to be checked and somewhat cleaned out before shelving.

I love this thrift store. I always manage to find some name brand, good condition items. It's great because they use flat pricing, which means that the nicer items are the same price as the not-so-nice items. Depending on the day, you may pay $4 for an article of clothing, but usually you pay between $1-$1.50. I have stalked my wardrobe with this store and the sister store in Mesa, and often receive compliments for my clothing from people who have no idea how little I paid for it.

For the stuff I saw, I thought the prices were to high for my taste, some one else probably will buy it in time, not this time for me, this doesn't mean I don't respect the people there and the great cause they support

Great place to donate all types of things which will help take care of the many animals at the AZ Humane Society and also a great place to find hidden treasures and all types of clothing. Free parking.

Go! Lots of stuff. Prices are very reasonable. Best of all, it's a great cause. Like many charity thrift stores, the Humane Society offers deep discounts on select days. Ask them. What I appreciate most is the merchandise is priced to sell, to make money for dogs and cats and...

I've driven past this place many times but so glad that one day i chose to stop and shop. I guess i thought they would only be selling animals or animal products. So imagine my surprise at seeing dishes, couches, picture frames, champagne glasses, jewelry, etc?

I went in to browse and came out with over $50 merchandise. It helped that on Mondays they offer deep discounts.
