Wait time is terrible, clear at least two hours Of your day bc you’ll be waiting for about two hours to be seen, after the appt time. I had to keep rescheduling bc they took forever to see me. I only get one week day off and they will have you irritated most of your day! She is overbooking! I walk in for my appt and 9 people were waiting and I was told I would have to wait for all of them to be seen. They displays you right away but the wait time is fckn forever!

The entire staff was absolutely fabulous, everyone was patient and kind. The doctor sanitized at least 100 times, there was seemless patient flow and I left feeling much better than when I came. Excellent practice!

***EDITed since business reply***

#1) They did not address the latex allergy public notification in their comment. I’m assuming they have corrected that issue since this posting.

#2) When they called the day before to confirm my appointment, they spoke to my husband as I can’t hear on phones, they did not inform him that masks were required otherwise he would have informed them of our issues. Nor did they inform us via that phone call that documentation was required for mask wearing exemptions. We have federal ADA laws that protect us from this discrimination and it was reaffirmed by the public notification under “Regulations Requiring Face Coverings In Maricopa County” per Maricopa County Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County, Arizona. Under Sec. III B i. Persons who fall into U. S. Centers for Disease Control and prevention’s guidance for those who should not wear “Face Coverings” due to medical or mental health conditions are exempt. Thus also protected under Sec. V. A. A person who declines to wear a “Face Covering” because of a medical condition “SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED” to produce documentation verifying the condition.

#3) I declined to be reached for rescheduling as my confidence in them has waned with the longer it took to get seen at each appointment. Average wait time was 30-90mins past the scheduled appointment time.

Original Post Comment:

Poor service and accommodations.

#1) They should have a posted warning for those with latex allergies/sensitivity that their staff is using latex gloves.

#2) Per Phoenix.gov mask regulation and per federal ADA laws: They failed to accommodate me. I have hearing and breathing difficulties. They denied me service for coming in without a mask (medical exemption), they wanted me to have a doctor’s note, which they did not ask for when they called to confirm the appointment the day before in which they even called back to ask that we come in early. They denied me the use of a translator to help me understand what they were saying without them having to remove their masks, but my translator could not wear a mask so that I could lip read and hear them. Instead they wanted to blind me (dilate my eyes) and have me read what the doctor is saying because I can’t hear people through masks.

#3) Since they denied me service today they cancelled my appointment and said they would call to reschedule.

I politely declined to have them call for a reschedule.

The staff are very friendly and professional. They have a good plan in place for COVID prevention. Dr. Schadlu is excellent and caring.

Always a good experience. Dr. Ramin Schadlu MD is a great communicator and his advice to me has always been 100 % correct. Thank you again.

I do not recommend this place. I have had horrible experiences everytime I have went. The Dr who did my procedure made me feel like I was a inconvenience for the pain I was experiencing during it because it took more time then planned. I was also told it wouldnt hurt when in fact it hurt very badly. She had horrible bedside manner. Also, the girls who do the mini exam before you see the dr never wear gloves! They are putting drops in my eye and touching my eye and surrounding area with bare hands. This is very unsanitary.

Terrible experience and terrible care. I would not recommend. Each staff member I ran into (besides the woman who checked me in) did not introduce themselves, did not have any manners or empathy, and the procedure I had was much more painful and involved than they said it would be. Disappointing for specialists.

I was in Scottsdale, AZ visiting from FL. I developed floaters and loss of vision in my right eye. I called the emergency line of Arizona Retina and Vitreous Consultants and Dr. Schadlu returned my call. Based on my symptoms indicating P. V. D.she was concerned that I may have detached or torn my retina. On a Saturday afternoon, Dr. Schadlu opened her office & gave me a through exam. I am so grateful for her care and professionalism and highly recommend her. Marcus Corwin, Boca Raton, Florida

I'll start by saying the doctors are very nice and informed. Unfortunately, they don't explain the information to you very well, if at all. My biggest complaint is the wait time. I can understand if they are behind schedule because things happen. But I have had to go to three of their offices and waited at least a half hour to an hour before being seen EVERY single time, then they make you wait for the doctor again for at least a half hour. In total, I was at the offices 4 times and wasted almost 7 hours of my life just in the waiting rooms. If there is anyone else you can go to, I would recommend it if the wait times are different unless they change their scheduling strategy or get more doctors to handle the patients. I appreciate the good work they have done but that's no excuse for poor customer service.

Dont go here! Went to have procedure done and complained about Betadine drops burning after going back and forth with dr.about it and knowing the difference between mild discomfort (as she put it) and a FULL eye burn I was told I'm being antagonistic. Get home and do more research and find out some people can be overly sensitive to Betadine.wont be going back.

Dr. Ramin Schadlu has truly been a blessing! I thought I would be blind forever after issues with diabetic complications. Dr. Schadlu made sure to go above and beyond for me. He is a doctor that truly cares and shows compassion for his patients. I have been visiting his office for over 3 years. The waiting room does get busy, but I honestly feel it is because Dr. Schadlu is amazing at what he does!

Today I can see and I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Schadlu's talent and kindness to me, my conditon, my family and continued care.

I would recommend him to anyone!

Nothing. They messed up my prescription with anesecia and I went dingy. Didn't make sense. Fell down the stairs and lost 4 days. The waiting room is always full and they are behind schedule. Having a full waiting room and over booking des not make you Important inTh US.

I've met with several eye doctors with the issues I have. Dr. Schadlu, did a great job with the laser surgery to repair my detached retina. Other specialists I've seen for additional issues, comment on how clean the laser repair was. Schadlu is respected statewide. I'd refer him to anyone that has issues the typical eye doctor can't take care of.
