Arizona Turf Masters, Phoenix AZ

Great experience overall from consult to completion, and more affordable than I'd have imagined. I especially enjoy that this turf stays cool, even on a day when it's 113 out.

I have used this company before 3 years ago and was very happy with them. After removing some scrubs and plants from my courtyard the turf needed to be replaced. I called and the sales manager came out to look at the project and give me a quote. She showed up and immediately had an attitude about the job. I have awnings and rock in front of the windows to keep any glare off the turf, which was recommended when it had been installed before and I haven't had any problems. She made an issue of it as though the windows would be a problem, even though it was apparent it had not been, I had to move her on from that and I pulled out my old paperwork with AZ Turf Masters to show the sq.ft.and what I had paid before and she went into some sales talk about increase in pricing, blah, blah, blah and any quote would only be good for 30 days after which there would probably be an increase. She didn't give me a price, only a wide price range per sq.ft.and left.
I waited days for a quote or call or something and never got anything. So, I called other companies and got 3 other quotes.
First, pricing had not gone up and the other 30 day quotes were good beyond that time as long as it was a reasonable amount of time. The job did get done within the 30 day period of the other quotes. My advice to the owner of Arizona Turf Masters is you need to send your sales manager to a sales class on talking to customers, and drop the attitude, you don't have to talk down to people. I was a shoe in as a repeat customer, she blew it, I went with another company which I would never have considered if she had been professional.

We’ve had a lot of work done at our property and these guys were one of the best to work with. They were prompt, courteous, very professional, easy to work with and very reasonable on price. They put in turf with stepping stones in the backyard - also spread some rock for us. Chad was quick to come out and give us a bid. Benjamin and his crew worked in 115 degree heat and did a great job - also appreciated that they cleaned up everything afterwards and they were careful with plants, existing travertine, etc. Todd came by during and afterwards to follow up to make sure everything went according to plan and Frank/Rachel worked to get us on the schedule quickly as we had time constraints. Appreciated all of the communication and I would definitely use the company again.

Jeri at Turfmasters came (on time) and reviewed my options with me. I signed the contract and 4 days later my yard was transformed. They are clean and professional.

We just got our yard done with Turf Masters and we are very happy! Jeri came out to go over our design plan and give us a quote, she is very helpful and was able to give us advice on the design and it ended up even better than our original idea. Pricing was very in line with the other quotes we got and they were able to get our yard done so fast. Overall we are very happy and would highly recommend Arizona Turf Masters!

I’m extremely pleased I chose AZ Turf Masters for a small (800 sq ft) but challenging backyard near a pool with lots of curves and bends from the surrounding planters. The artificial turf they installed looks fantastic (I went with the Durasoft 60) and as good as any company’s “showcase” installations. There was clear, friendly and cooperative communication from everybody on the front end (project estimator, project scheduler and project manager), and the installation crew was professional, hard-working, polite and skilled at what they do. They did everything the right way with the foundational work of sod cutting/removal and careful build-up and compacting of the base material, and then they did an excellent job of laying down the weed fabric and turf, tightly fitting the edges with all the curves and bends, applying infill, etc, and cleaning up well afterward. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat.

So happy with our experience from beginning to end. The final product has been described as " a work of art" by our friends. We love it.

Thanks to Allen, James, Rolando and team for the wonderful work in my yard! As I mentioned to Rolando, you far exceeded my expectations (in under 4 hours!). The grass and rock are beautiful and definitely made an impact on my yard and dogs! They were hesitant at first but love it and have a great time playing and rolling on it. The team were respectful of not only my property but the office that my yard backs up to. Although notified, the owner did give us a little heat but even he commented how appreciative he was of their work ethic and cleanup following.

I certainly recommend this crew to anyone looking to amp up their property especially with their fair and honest team in Tucson.

Very knowledgeable, explained all available products well, was able to show us samples so we could see/feel the difference. Install was well coordinated with underlayment delivery. Site prep and laying the turf was pretty quick. Looks great and the dogs love it. Don't miss the dusty old area.

I had a section of turf installed from another company a year ago, and while I love it, the customer service was awful. Now that I needed more in the back yard, I looked around and found Arizona Turf Masters. When I called, I had a healthy budget and figured I'd use most, if not all in the back yard because I wanted the new area to be twice the size of the old. Jeri came out and measured, then said I'd get the quote later that day or the next. When it arrived, I thought for sure it was a mistake. This quote was less than I'd spent the with the previous company. Both times, there was a sale happening. I guess when ATM says there is a sale, they really mean it. I saved so much money that I asked for a quote to do my front yard. I still ended up having money from my 'yard budget' left over. The entire front was completed the first day, as well as a good chunk of the back, then it took about 3-4 hours the next morning to finish the back. If I had room for more turf, I'd definitely use ATM again.

The communication on the front end was bumpy, but the crew, led by Diego, did a fantastic job installing the turf.

We are thrilled with our new artificial turf from AZ Turf Masters! They did an amazing job installing it in our front yard. They were very professional, courteous, and efficient. The final result is stunning, and we love how it looks. Even when we encountered a problem with the first installation due to a manufacturing defect, they handled it promptly and professionally. Chad and Brian came to inspect the issue and agreed to replace the turf completely. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with their service. We highly recommend AZ Turf Masters to anyone who wants to have artificial turf installed. They are the best!

This is the second time using their services and I am very pleased. The first time was three years ago and went with them again with this new project. Both installs went smoothly with a great outcome. The first project still looks amazing three years later. They were prompt and professional with both installs. A+

Arizona Turf Masters did a fantastic job of installing a putting green in our backyard. Chad came out promptly and gave me a bid quickly that was reasonable and fair. It was also less than their competitors. I was referred to them by some friends who used them on their backyard project. On our project an existing natural grass green needed to be removed first. They had a guy come out and kill the grass first and the project proceeded a week later. The green looks and performs fantastic. The foreman of the install crew also alerted me to a potential problem of roots from a nearby tree causing issues with the green in the future. The tree was dealt with later. I would recommend AZ Turf Masters to anyone looking for a quality contractor.

So this is the first review I have ever left but I feel compelled to write this. From the first day I visited the show room to the day Chad showed up to measure and give us an estimate to the day of install this team met every single time and date I was given. The team that showed up to install were exceptional. Not only were they pleasant to deal with they are very good at what they do. I had some special instructions on heights of the grass in certain places and they met every one of them. Not only were they very meticulous and did an excellent job they cleaned everything up. My back yard was cleaner when they left. There wasn't a grain of sand left on my sidewalk from the 4 tons of sand they brought in. They even coiled up my hose and put it away. I very much appreciate the install team being so conscience.
