What a great experience with this company from walk in to saying goodbye. The customer service we received from Gail was exceptional, she went way above the standards to ensure our day was nothing less then perfect! Thank you for that Gail Our Rinker rental was just just what we needed and it was very clear this company takes pride in their rentals. Hoping to be back again some day!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
I suggest using a different rental company.
NOT SURE WHY PIRATES COVE WOULD WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH A TERRIBLE COMPANY.

I rented a side by side for 2 days. It cost me $1300. It had problems from the moment I picked it up. The side by side never made it over 40mph and progressively got worse. I had them come out twice to fix it.

They couldn’t get it fixed the second day. Lady on the phone assumed I burnt up the belt. There guys came out and looked at it and said that it was not the belt and tried to diagnose the issue at my camp for about an hour before taking it 3 hrs before it was supposed to be returned.

After they left I talked to the lady in their office to see if they could help me out on the price and she told me no and I also will have to pay for a new belt.

I was told the owner Blane would be back in the office on Tuesday and to talk to him about the price and belt charge. He told me there was nothing he could do for me. He also told me that that belt was replaced just a couple of day prior to me renting the side by side but because I drove the side by side to slow it caused the belt to burn up.

BAD COMPANY!

Gale, Mark and Jason at Arizona Water Sports were a fantastic team! My family rented a ski boat for half a day and they were so accommodating! They set us up with all of the gear that we needed. Their location is super convenient to Lake Havasu. They were so pleasant to work with and Mark still had a smile on his face when he had to pick us up at the end of the day in a rain storm! Thank you for you kindness, Gale, and for a great day on the Lake! We will come back again!

I would give less then a 1 star for the experience…. Spent $650 dollars to rent a pontoon that looked like it came off the bottom of the ocean, it’s so warn out it’s hard to believe the are allowed to have people on board …. At least 20 plus years old and I was told it was a 2017. The upholstery is ripped and pulling apart everywhere. Sun faded. Bimini cover tipped. Stalled at least 5 times while on the water today while on plain and in lots of water. Then came back and told we ruined a prop. We never left the river channel all day. Never churned up mud …. Just wanted to enjoy a day on the river as I am from Canada and have owned many many boats in my life. In fact I own a $300,000 twin engine tritoon Absolutely a rip off. Spent $650 for a $3000 pontoon boat and nobody cares. I called the office and was told I asked for the cheapest on they have. When what I asked was asked what options they had and was told a 90 hp with 2 toons and 1 Bimini or a 3 toon with a 225 and 2 tops. When I complained about the condition and performance. I was told I could have upgrade when I was shown the boat but nobody offered an upgrade. Do nooooot go near this place. I am doing a travel blog of out 15000 Mile trip around Canada and US and will be sharing my experience there as well.

We rent here every year! We seem to get the same gentleman every year who explains everything at the beginning and he is awesome very detailed helpful and is very professional. Last year we had an issue with the deck boat and the staff was very accommodating helpful and we needed our trip another great one for the books. Definitely recommended. This year we renting there new chaparral boat and it was amazing! Rented 7/23/22

Renter beware. We were rented broken equipment that was not usable on the water. When we asked for a refund, we were told "we cant refund you for that" and further told that we should have gotten off the lake and driven back over to the store to switch out the equipment. Very poor customer service. Do not rent from here.

Terrible customer service. Super unprofessional and they don’t care how they speak to you. They’re friendly when they are booking your reservation but the moment you pay, they don’t give an “F” about you. I will never return.

Holly and Tammy were great, perfect service all day, I will definitely recommend this place 100%. Rented a jetski ran perfect lots of miles for a full tank.

2nd time renting from AWS from Pirates Cove Resort - rented both Tri-Toon boat and Razor, Jason who took care of us for both rentals was great. Nice guy, chill and went over things well.

So on my family trip we rented a side by side to take a little ride with my 8 year old and 6 year old. About an hour into the desert going no more than 35 MPH a belt breaks and I had to call a friend to tow me back in.

Upon investigation by AZ Watersports the way that I was driving caused the break. I was not doing anything crazy as I had two small children in the vehicle. I then was billed $400 in damages even though the damage had to have already been done on their non well maintained vehicles.

Do not risk going out into the desert on these non maintained side by sides. Incredibly bad customer service from Holly when the issue was explained to her.

For an overpriced $750 side by side rental I would have expected a little more empathy, instead I found a money hungry, penny pitching joke of a company. We came on this trip with 20+ other families and none of us will ever rent from them again.

Of course they do not care as they are the only act in town and will continue to pray on tourists as there are no other options. I have never written a review like this in my life, but I have never dealt with a company who has absolutely zero common sense or any idea of how to take care of customers.

I should be receiving a refund for my lost time and being put in harms way instead of a charge. These guys are nothing but a scam. Beware!

On return of the rental the guy checked out the boat and said everything looked great. Two days later, they called and said I needed to buy a new prop. When I asked them to not bill me until I spoke to a manger the lady on the phone got angry and hung up on me. I never did get a call back from the manager.

I tried one last time to talk to someone and got a hold of the manager. I have upgraded my review after talking to Holly. After reviewing the situation she agreed that there was no way that we damaged the prop. She did state the prop was damaged but it was likely caused by another boat at the slip. The amount charged was returned to the credit card.

Our experience on the water was really nice. Dealing with the office staff left a lot to be desired. I'm glad the situation got resolved, but it should never have happened.

Such a great place and awesome people to do business with. The owners, Blane and Hollie, were so welcoming and helpful from the moment we walked in. They answered all our questions and made the rental experience extremely easy. Ryan was just as amazing. He explained the rules and tips to help us safely navigate the area with ease. We will definitely be coming back again!

We had Jared help us out on the boat rental and the ATV rental Jared and Ryan were amazing on the information they shared with us. They were very helpful

Wonderful, knowledgeable people. Great equipment. Had a blast on the side by sides for the day. Will definitely do it again!

They endangered my grandchildren and my family knowingly! They rented me a 57 year old lady a pontoon boat that had a full right side pontoon and we were listening right out of the launch!

Very bad service l rent 2 jet ski and one off them broke down and barely drive the lady over there say money not refundable and they can’t do anything about it we don’t even drive it Ruined our day not recommended on this place at all! 0000000000000 stars

We had a GREAT experience here. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They were very patient with our instructions and were noticeably efficient getting us in and out of the water.
Next time we're in town, this will be where we rent from.
