If I could give zero stars I would. I went in for an emergency dental treatment. Nice at first, gave me the free exam and xray deal. Couldn't pull my tooth for a month so they put me on a infection killing medication due to infection. All fine except I told them I had issues with the medication due to IBS.
But I took it regardless. When I went in for the actual removal of the tooth mind you I was 22, nearly 23 in a lot of pain and desperate for relief. Their pricing was outrageous. So I was persuaded into "care credit" okay whatever. Payments, that's fine. For a TOOTH EXTRACTION. Which I had to go to a separate office for. After the tooth was pulled I was given paperwork, I vaguely read it. But after learning it was all consent forms for BEFORE, the extraction. It was also consent for being billed to my care credit. As I had basically no credit, little did I know; they billed their whole suggested "care plan" to this care credit card.
I didn't learn this until my second "checkup" to where they were doing a secondary exam. Sent me home with floss, and suggested a toothbrush for my gingivitis. Okay cool, I asked how much it was and they said my care credit covered it.
Still I didn't know this was billed already, but they told me it was already "approved" which was the wording. After getting my first care credit payment. At nearly $400 monthly I was shocked.
Absolutely shocked and was able to view a breakdown statement from aspen. This toothbrush alone was over $150
I tried to go back and argue the charges but they said to contact care credit. Which I did, the polite operator had me on a three way call with aspen. Where we finally just settled and agreed to do the charged work. I needed it done anyways right?
That's when the random reminders for appointments I didn't make at random times started. I called multiple times to change the times but couldn't i went to one filling and left with a chunk out of my tounge and severe gum bruises from the numbing. I missed one appointment and when I called they had me come into the office. They refused to do the next appointment. Told me to call care credit again. They wouldn't help. So I stopped making payments all together and let it go to collections and paid it off differently.
In a time of desperate need. I felt extremely taken advantage of. I now go to bright now dental and have educated myself on things that aren't necessary to do and getting my full total cost billed before signing anything after some laughing gas.
DO NOT GO HERE. They were so insensitive.

I was told I needed to have a deep cleaning and is said I did not want one. I was again told I had to get it or I could not have ant dental work done. I was going in for knee surgery so I needed my dental work done so I agreed to they deep cleaning. It has been 8 months since then and my crowns are still sensitive. I called to see if I could come in and just gets a regular craning and was told all I could get was the paridonic cleaning from now on. I said I did not want that one I was told I could not be seen in their office any longer if I refused it. I have been an Aspen patient in and other city for a long time, and in surprise for 3 years. I am now moving in to another dental office, too bad they treat their patients this way. Good luck hope this does not happen to you.
