Associated Dermatologists PC reviews
4They scheduled me the next day for an appointment, I has a couple spots on my face that concerned me and Loen A. Zech, M. D, Ph. D.absolutely took his time with great explanation about my spots. First time ever a Doctor didn't rush through an appointment. I've never been to a Dermatologist before and because he was so caring, kind and patient, I scheduled another appointment for every 6 months for now on. I wish every Doctor had his ethics.
Dr Scott Bangert is very nice and professional. The problem I have is it takes 3 to 4 months to get in. They will put you on a waiting list to fill a cancellation if one occurs. It’s not their fault because Tucson with it’s over 300 days of sun per year, needs more dermatologists.
Everyone here was wonderful. Dr Carolyn Bangert diagnosed my cancerous lesions. She was thorough and kind. Due to the pandemic I had to wait until this month to have MOHS surgery. Dr DuPont was a brilliant surgeon and also kind. His assistant Sam was such a calming presence. So kind. As was the person who removed my stitches yesterday. I think her name was Jourdanna. As you can see there is a pattern here. Smart and kind.
I dislike writing poor reviews, but feel this is necessary. I had been a patient of one of the doctors here and always felt the treatment was sub-par on the following counts:
1) my 2-minute routine skin check seemed to be a random price every time. As a self-pay client, it was frustrating to not know what the visit would cost. I'm talking only about the routine skin check, no other procedures were done.
2) I had been a patient for many years and skipped a couple of skin checks, and they wanted me to pay the new patient price that was $100-$200 for a 2 minute visit!
3) the exam environment was a bit unpleasant and embarrassing.
For a whole-body skin check, one must strip down to nothing but underwear - no problem, but there was no gown offered, the room is quite cold, and most importantly, the exam room I got every time was at the end of a busy hallway, and when the Dr.opened the door, there I was, nearly naked, in full view of basically every one in the hallway. A little disturbing to be so naked making eye contact with strangers in the hallway. I discussed this several times, but no change.
In closing, I found a much better doctor that has reasonable pricing, a gown is provided, and no strangers saw me in my underwear!
