10/10 Jeff, Jason and Chad really know what they’re doing, They have done countless things and installed several things on my car and have had no issues with installs or how the car is after it leaves and even if there is a issue afterwards with another part on the car they will take time to diagnose it right there to figure out what it is. This is the only shop my car will ever go to.

Jeff and Jason over at Automotive Instincts are very friendly and are masterminds when it comes to working on any car whether it’s repairs, rebuilds, or performance work, ESPECIALLY MUSTANGS. When it comes to Fords, Jeff knows just about everything there is to know.
Very professional, and when it comes to quality, these are the guys to get the job done. Extremely clean work, and will keep you updated every step of the way.

I had blown the motor in my 2018 5.0 a while back, and took it to them for a rebuild and performance work. Lemme tell you, this s**t looked better than OEM when it was finished, and ran better than it did prior to blowing the motor. I thank them for everything they’ve done and continue to go through them and ONLY them today and from now on!

Really DISAPPOINTED IN JEFF’S WORK!

Don’t get me wrong at first, I was iffy about this shop. I spoke with JEFF the brains of the Mustangs & I started to get comfortable with his work. The car had a good amount of work done By Jeff, very pleased with his work & a little overpriced in my opinion, But at that point I had a projection in my head for my car to be done and street ready. After Getting the car back, I took it to AEM (Arizona Elite Motorsports) Bill tuned the car. After getting back my results from the dyno the car was not making no power over 4300RPMS. Bill mentioned it was a minor issue, he said it could be the pushrod length was off, or the timing chain is off by a tooth. From there I took back my car to JEFF @ AUTOMOTIVE INSTINCTS, After a few days later On August 20,2020 I get a call and was told my car was ready.
When I get there Jeff tells me to go test drive it, his exacts words were “ITS TOTALLY A DIFFERENT CAR”, meaning like brand new, which I couldn’t resist to finally drive. I took it around the block & the car drove amazing I WAS THRILLED. ‘in my head I was like FINALLY the car is done I can enjoy it now.

UNFORTUNATELY TWO DAYS LATER My car did not want to start. I didn’t think to much at first maybe a dead battery or alternator. I tried jumping cables, took of the starter took it to AUTOZONE it PASSED, my last option was to push the car to start it after the 4th or 5th attempt i noticed the rear wheels were locking up. I placed a ratchet on the crank and spun it about 180 degrees clockwise before it locked up, spun it counterclockwise about 180 before locking up again. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG INTERNALLY.

I CALLED & spoke to Jason, I was on hold and the call ended, I called back no answer & I called the next day no answer. I TEXTED them no response. At this point I felt avoided a few days turned into a month it is now 10/02/2020. With that being said I took matters into my own hands to resolve issue, I didn’t want to go this route bc of the warranty they had given me. But after them not bothering to get a hold of me I choose my route. After digging into the valves covers and spinning the crank, I noticed there was some lifters not moving. The Heads were taken off.found out why the engine was locked up. There seemed to be a small metal piece with a little rubber piece that doesn’t look like it came from the engine, which made me assume something fell in it when it was worked on. I have evidence of the damage. And unfortunately it has to come out my pocket now.

REALLY AGGRAVATED! THAT I SPENT A FORTUNE, AND IM BACK IN SQUARE ONE! THANKS AUTOMOTIVE INSTINCTS!

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND! IF YOUR WILLING TO THROW MONEY!

I went to this place on a whim and found my new home for any performance stuff. I walked in asked about a set up for my car. Jeff the owner/mechanic quoted me a price way lower than any other shop. He ordered the parts and called to let me know he ordered everything and then when the stuff came in he called. He called while doing the work to keep me posted and ask how I wanted things. They did an amazing job and did it quickly. Even after picking up the car there was something Small that need to be fixed and Jeff took the time to redo it before I left. These guys are amazing and I highly recommend them for anything car related.

I’ve worked for the owner years ago, I don’t work on cars anymore and send all of my previous customers and friends to these guys. You can trust their work and they’re great guys. One stop shop from oil changes to full on built motors, custom turbo kits, tuning and a lot more.

I’ve used this shop for years. They’re honest and reasonably priced, especially compared to dealerships, and do a great job. Several times they’ve diagnosed a problem that turned out to be much less serious than I thought.

Honest down to earth people with honest prices. Won't rip you off and will give written estimated of all you options. Have used them for years when they were Pat's Autos on Bell Rd. Now a bit more difficult to find on Deer Valley but we'll worth asking their opinion in your next car problem. Very trustworthy.

Anyone who rates this place one star and then submits a 900 work manifesto clearly has more issues than their cars. These guys are rock stars! They explain and offer options and won't do band aid repairs. Absolutely fair pricing and just good people. No one else touches my vehicles!

I started going to Pat’s back in 2012. Now they moved and are now called Automotive Instincts and a bit farther away, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cars. Automotive Instincts are great and hassle free.

Wife and I went to their location on Bell Road near 67th Ave to leave one of our cars for an oil change. Was sad to see the business was closed. Turns out they moved to 2050 West Deer Valley Road, about the same distance from our home as the prior location was when it was called Pat's Precision. We were very glad to see that they are still in business, now called Automotive Instincts. These guys have always been straight with us and they are always fair with their pricing. Once took our car to them for low compression and it turned out to be a plastic grocery bag that got sucked up by the engine and it was impeding air flow. Now you know a dishonest mechanic would have charged us for some bogus repair when all they did was remove a plastic bag, but they didn't charge us a dime. Good Luck in your new location guys!
