Avis Car Rental, Phoenix AZ

They don't like to explain details like other places I have rented cars from. Nice, but unprofessional. Also, I called twice in one day left my name and number both times for them to call me back as they requested and they never called. Called the corporate line, but the local store needed to be the one to address my questions. It was a frustrating day dealing with this location. Nice people, but difficult time calling.

It's been a long day trying to rent from what I believed to be a convenient location. I spent almost 3 hours with CSRs, just trying to get my address straight between the two to three apps and programs that do NOT handshake with one another. Finally getting over that obstacle, I find my card I placed on file doesn't work to set my booking. I go place the money on my Uber card, then go back to be informed I need the credit score I could use to buy a high end Lexus, or Jaguar with. JUST TO RENT FOR RIDESHARE! A trying experience, and even though I sympathize with Sam, the CSR that was inundated with rideshare and delivery drivers, the information and hoops I was made to jump through left a VERY bad taste in my mouth.

I loved how smooth the check in was and just being provided all the information needed. Also the ease in paying with my debit card.

This is directed to the Avis Car Renal on 245 Bell Rd. The female clerk was unprofessional but nice, she shared all her frustrations to myself and another customer. The vehicle that was given was clean and ran great. The biggest problem is Avis puts unauthorized holds on your banking account without any customer acknowledgement, explanation in writing or verbal. It has has been six (6) business days and I have not received my $500 back yet.

Every car was in good shape except for 1, a Nissan. The car had paint in it and was in rough shape. Otherwise, I would have given a 10

It was actually my second time renting a car, the last time was quite sometime ago but with a different company, picking it up was quick, and I liked the convince of a small location where I picked it up, just seems more relaxed, the guy was friendly who helped me and at first I thought ugh I got a midsize car, I thought I wanted something small, but I loved the car I got I'm not even sure if it was a midsize it was a KIA not sure what it was called, but it was nice, the screen it had that I was able to down load the app for was awesome, I was able to actually see the map, instead if on my phone, I was actually afraid to use anything because I'm not great with technology. But before I left on my road trip my son showed me how. I really enjoyed myself this time driving, the last time I rented a car I was afraid to drive a long distance by my self. The car was so good on gas I never once had to stop for gas until my destination, and I thought the amount to fill it up upon return was not bad at all. Over all I would rent again from Avis. Thank you

This is the best place James is 100 percent the best person ever. He made everything possible and the customer service from James had me refer people there. He is great to work with I'll never go any other place. Thank you James

Returned car in perfect condition. Had to pay for cleaning and $10 per gallon to top off gas tank. Unexpected abuse of my credit card after contract was closed. Filing charges of fraud.

The gentleman at Avis 245 E Bell rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022 stated the car needed to be detailed and a small dent needed repair. The car was clean, but he stated it had to be returned in the same condition and the dent was there before. Legal representation said small claims court would not be worth it, but to report to BBB.

James and his staff are great, very friendly and always professional. The cars always are clean and well maintained. James is why we don't rent anywhere other than Avis and at this location.

This was the first time I rented a car at a facility which was not connected to an airport. The staff were friendly, helpful and did not waste my time trying to upsell me. The car was just what I would've asked for (a Subaru Outback) and I had no issues with it. Returning the car was a breeze. Best car rental experience ever.

James is by far the greatest! His customer service is FANTASTIC! Whenever I need to rent a car, I wouldn't go anywhere but this particular AVIS location to be assisted by James!

This is all for James. I have been renting from this place for over a year and thoroughly impressed with the service and the quality of their cars. James is awesome and always went out of his way to provide the best services and always the car of my choice. I have now moved to Illinois and miss them so much.

The best place to rent a car in the valley! Always has a variety of vehicles, always offering the best prices around (I have been told that non-airport car rentals in metro PHX are not taxed as highly as airport rentals) Super friendly and accomodating.

This Avis/Budget outpost has taken care of my local rental car needs for years. Great rates and very accommodating.

Car was ok. Cleaning could have been better. Windows so streaked that the sun one the horizon caused so much glare. There had been stickers on the trunk and doors and the residue was not cleaned off leaving the residue dirty on a white car.

Been renting from this location for years and years. James is awesome prompt and efficient. Would highly recommend him and this Avis.

Seriously worst experience of my life I've rented from Hertz, Enterprise, and Thrifty but by far this Avis location has given me the worst experience. And after spending thousands of dollars on multiple cars in the last month alone? I'd rather spend a couple hundred extra at Enterprise than deal with the manager here again which is exactly what I went and did. Sad apparently being a frequent customer means nothing here.

James is a great guy and a pleasure to do business with. My only complaint is the car and air conditioner reeked of cigarette smoke. I would asked for a different one but I didn't want to be a complainer. So I guess that's on me, I should have known better.
