Update, 1/4/2024:
2 years have gone by since my first gum graft and I was told I needed to do the lower molars too. I was hesitant to do the procedure again, mainly because of the two week soft food diet. However, the pain was becoming pretty consistent so I decided to go forward. I still really like Dr. Darnell, she is very good. The techs this time around have been pretty disappointing. I went in after 2 weeks for my post-op appointment to have the stitches removed. I told them at that time I was having pain in one tooth. She dismissed my concern as normal. 4 days later the pain was unbearable. Called the next day and they got me right in; diagnosis was food impacted between the teeth and a missed stitch. Today, 3 weeks after the procedure, they cleaned my teeth. Hours later, my mouth feels like it went 12 rounds. The gums hurt, my tongue has several bruises where she let the suction tube touch it for too long. They want to see me on a regular basis for cleanings, but I don't really want to come out feeling like this again.

Ok, I'm just gonna say it. I love Dr. Leslie Darnell! I love her energy! She's fun, but still so considerate and does great work. I had gum grafts on both sides of my upper molars, not the most fun thing to do. However, she was great at explaining everything and gave me her number to contact her anytime after the procedure. Not very many people go out of their way like that anymore. The staff have all been great too, very friendly and caring. The office is modern and clean. Definitely recommend Dr. Darnell and her staff, top notch!

Dr Darrnell is amazing. I'm so glad she took the time to help with my anxiety and control my pain. I can't wait to see her again

Awesome periodontics practice! I am always very pleased with my dental care. The staff, dental hygienist and periodontist are a wonderful team! The dental hygienist are excellent and are always very careful during x-rays, cleaning, etc. Kellie my dental hygienist for my recent cleaning, was very professional, and took her time to provide a great cleaning. Thank you AZPerio for all your hard work!

I trust this place with everything. Dr. Darnell & her team were absolutely amazing, they made me feel so comfortable and at ease. The procedure went by so fast, it was better than getting a cavity filled! I recommend this place 1000%

Very friendly and informative about everything I would be going through. Even got a follow call later that evening from the Dr.himself to see how I was doing and if I had any new questions after my procedure. I really appreciated that! Everyone was great from start to finish!

Grace, Allison and Jessica welcomed me, even though I erred on my appointment date and time. They and Dr Fitzgerald attended to me and laid out a treatment plan without pressure. Their previous care was also exceptional.

During routine cleaning and checkup a concerning amount of bone loss and inflammation was discovered. Unfortunately, i was scheduled to leave town for six weeks in two days. In response, the entire team rallied to complete all necessary treatment on that SAME DAY! Everything went smoothly despite this a great deal of unplanned work. Bravo to AZ Perio - Gilbert. Great conversation, polite staff and knowledgeable. Overall I felt welcomed as soon I entered. Sharing the space with an orthodontist explains the conflicting decorations. I would highly recommend this place for treatment. They have the latest tech.

Staff is very friendly. Always a smile. Always on time and very concerned about the wellbeing of their patients.

My first visit went great - of course it did. They were trying to make a good impression. The second did not. They did a procedure where I should have definitely been given an anesthetic. I was numbed, but that's all, and endured tremendous discomfort for over 30 minutes. It took three days for the pain to go away.

Treatment went great. Everyone very gentle and courteous. Dr. Fitzgerald is great. Very calming and helps to make you feel relaxed.
