It’s difficult to rate a place that you can’t visit. They do not respond well to email or phone calls. And once they do, it is very quip. If you are not interested in their English or Western trainer, they will have no conversation with you. They do not board for anyone that’s not in a training program. Now, this is not a problem for me. All ranches have a right to their own policies. I completely understand wanting to control the services provided to your clients. However, as an equine rehab specialist, I just found it off putting that they refuse to even respond to a professional that emailed and called the facility as a potential customer.

The horses are not provided with even minimal shelter from the brutal summer weather.

Another post stated that “…brood mares in the front paddock are rescued and cared for…”

With the excellent facilities and staff this business touts, I don’t understand the rational for not providing even minimal shelter from the sun for the horses in the front paddock.

Although this looks like an amazing place they are not good with live breeding and if that is what you are after or require you would be better off finding another place. After being charged about $1200 the response I received was my mare was too tall for the stallion, however with the assistance of some other professionals at our ranch we were able to get them to breed naturally in a matter of minutes even though they say they tried for 3 hours.

Nice Horse boarding. I walk past it if I'm going to the NE Safeway. It's nice to see the animals doing their thing

If you would drive into the facility rather than driving by, you would find horses in covered barns that have fresh bedding, high quality feed, cared for by excellent staff. There is a veterinarian on staff who monitors the health of each horse. The brood mares in the front paddock are rescued and cared for also. Other horses are let out for a short time each day so that they can run free.
I have been both a student and an owner of 3 horses that have been in training at Bandalero and am very happy with the care provided.

I drive by this beautiful facility each day, sometimes multiple times a day. The horses are out in full summer sun with no cover, and today, it is 45 degrees outside and pouring rain. The horses are out, no cover, and hanging their heads low. Why can’t they be put under the arena, where there is some cover and shelter from the heat or pouring rain? Breaks my heart to see these beautiful horses in a beautiful facility treated this way. Please drive by this place in the heat of the summer and check it out before keeping your horses here.
