We rescued a very dog-reactive pup. We had Renee work with our dog and in 3 weeks of boarding, we had a different dog when she returned home. We have put in the work and with Renee’s constant help, we have a dog that can play with a couple other dogs. It’s a process, but Renee is always by our side, just a text away! We cannot say enough about her professionalism, humor, kindness and true love for our dog! Thank you, Renee, for giving us a chance to have a fantastic dog!

We took our BIG Bernadoodle “Bear” to get trained by Bandana Dog and they did an amazing job. Bear was huge as a puppy and was very rambunctious. But after several days of training with Joe Cisneros, Bear was like a completely different dog. I was amazed! I highly recommend Bandanna Dog for training your pups. They work wonders and Joe is highly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain to you how to interact with your dog in order to create a great relationship with your dog.

We were having difficulties with our two pups on walks and dog reactivity. They had no sense of proper leash walking and would go crazy to some people and all dogs. Because of work we had to move to Los Angeles and decided to look for a trainer before doing so. With this in mind we opted for their stay and train. We did our consultation with Renee and she really took her time to explain their philosophy and approach and setting expectations. With that in mind we felt super comfortable leaving our babies in her hands. She not only delivered on the expectations, but after training and during hand off to us she really took the time to explain to us how we should be working with them moving forward to keep improving on the strong foundation she set with them. Renee did an AMAZING job we’re very thankful to have found her and worked with her. I referred my parents to her and I’d highly recommend anybody else to work with Bandana dog training because you’ll find them to be incredibly helpful and effective.

Joe has tremendously taught us a lot in bringing up and training our Boston Terrier, Spunky, he is a work in progress and with Joe’s help he’s turning out to be a great dog and companion, I highly recommend Joe, owner of Bandana Dog Training for all of your dog’s training needs!

Bandana dog training has been the best training we have been through with our pups. Our trainer, Renee, was so knowledgeable about dogs and takes the time to get to know your dog in order to evaluate what kind of tricks/tools will benefit them the most. We did the board and train program and were extremely impressed with our dogs improved mannerisms and the training Renee gave US on how to keep it up in the future! I would definitely recommend Bandana Dog Training to anyone looking to better their dog’s behavior.

Renee has been Abby’s trainer and she has also worked with Chaps. Both of my pups have a great temperament and are always willing to learn. Renee established the training basics and reinforces them each time I take them to her to board. Renee has a great reputation and loves all dogs. I highly recommend that you allow Renee to train and board your pup.

My husband and I have three rescue dogs. Our dog Comet was experiencing severe anxiety and engaging in destructive chewing behavior when we weren't home. Medication wasn't really helping, so we reached out to Bandana Dog Training for assistance. We did a few lessons with Joe and learned more about dog behavior in two months than either of us had in the entirety of our lives. He recommended we do a board and train with Comet to get him used to a kennel so that he would be safe when we were at work. Renée did the board and train with Comet, and she was fantastic. Comet is extremely stubborn and not food motivated, so Renée used leash pressure to train Comet to sit, stay on place, and go into his kennel. We are so pleased that Comet goes into his kennel easily now, and he is safe when we aren't home. I highly recommend both Joe and Renée for their compassion, kindness, knowledge, and straightforwardness when it comes to training dogs. I'm so glad we found them!

Joe has already changed the relationship my dog and I have, as well as built my confidence and knowledge around why the practices really work. Lisa is extremely helpful in scheduling and giving any form of information you may need! I highly recommend bringing your dogs to them, especially if you have an adult dog that is in need of relearning skills/appropriate behaviors!

Renee is awesome she is so helpful. She is so great with dogs. If you need a trainer I would ask for her.

We brought our 5 year old pup to Joe for help with her reactivity around other dogs, and let me tell you, Joe is a miracle worker! Before, our pup would go nuts even seeing another dog, but by the end of our lessons she could sit and stay calm while other dogs walked by, walk past other dogs on walks, and be redirected easily. Our pup absolutely adored Joe and he was very kind and gentle with her. Joe works with the dog and their strengths, and gains their trust. He is a fantastic trainer, and gives the 1-on-1 training and support needed for every pup and their human. Joe is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and knows what he’s doing! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! He truly cares about the dogs he works with, and wants to see them succeed just as much as their owners do.

I highly recommend Bandana Dog Training! Renee and Joe are incredible dog trainers! Our pup Sadie stayed with Renee for board and train and it was the BEST decision and investment that we could have ever made for our girl! Sadie had fear and anxiety of people and so many things. She needed more than just weekly training sessions. But now, since WE (Sadie and our family) have been trained and have new skills and tools, Sadie is living her best life and is calm and happy! We are truly forever grateful for the love, support and encouragement that Renee gave Sadie as she guided her (and us) through training!

We took our (wild) 7 month old Labrador puppy to Bandana Dog Training and it was just what he needed to start shaping himself into a well behaved dog! Working with Joe was great, not only did he explain and demonstrate so many helpful training exercises to work on, but also explained the psychology behind many of our puppy's bad behaviors. Understanding the "why" he was acting up made the "how" to address it so much easier. Highly recommend Joe and Bandana Dog Training!

We brought our 5 year old dog, Kane, to Joe to help with crate training. And boy did Kane give Joe a run for his money. We did the board and train and it was worth every penny. Our boy is as stubborn as they come, but Joe showed him love and patience. He is now successfully crate trained, he doesn’t love it, but he goes in and settles in and I never thought I would see the day that happened. Thank you Joe for all the love and hard work you poured into our boy, I am not sure what we would have done without you!

Our dog recently completed the "21 Day Stay & Train" with Bandana Dog Training. I had high expectations and Bandana Dog Training met or exceeded them all. I would recommend them to anyone. The Stay & Train was worth every single penny!

We met with Joe earlier today & he was super nice and informative - he didn't talk down to us or try to make us feel bad. Everything he said made perfect sense - we're VERY excited to begin training with him!

My dogs, Tundra and Triton love him, in a few weeks we are able to go to lowes, walk to the park, and chill together. Even my friends notice the difference.

Joe's approach to training was so refreshing and so effective! We did in-person lessons with our newly adopted PACC two-year-old who was pretty chill already but had some basic manners to learn and a few quirks. The lessons are really for you and you have to do the work outside of the lessons to see progress; however, you will understand why you're doing what you're doing and why your dog does what they do. That sounds obvious but Joe breaks everything down in a way that made for many "ah-ha! " moments. I have had several dogs and wish Joe had been there to help me with all of them! Joe and Lisa are very accomodating with scheduling, too.
