Bashas' / Food City reviews
33Love Bashas great service and products. Always able to find someone for questions and help. Sales on products I normally use. Not crowded.
I went there with my mom and her card declined because she didn’t have enough money, it was so sad, she was very embarrassed and the cashier just made it worse, she was obviously annoyed and had a smug face, she kept sighing and gave a really bad attitude, only two cashier spots were open and very high prices.
11 dollars for 6 rolls of toilet paper. I was ok going to bashas only when I needed to, they are typically overpriced. Today will be the last day I patronize them, ridiculous
My experience here at bashas was absolutely awful. Two different times I went to get a money order, and two different times they gave the wrong amount on the money order, and when I asked to have it fixed both times they wanted to charge me again. Leann cashier # 0501 in the most recent occurance, after telling her it was the wrong amount stated she repeated the amount back to me. She hadn't. If she had, I would have caught the mistake. My transaction # is 0071 and #0073. It is ridiculous I had to get two, and be charged for both. I hope you have more competent respectful people in the future.
This place is dilapidated, depressing and over-priced. Do yourself a favor and just go to Walmart.or Fry's.
I walk into Bashas this morning and as soon as I walk in the door I see that the Lysol wipes are completely empty and asked a worker to get them refilled which they hadn't done when I left the store. I also was horrified to see the price gouging that Bashas is doing, Hickman's eggs are over $4 a dozen now and Fry's has not raised their prices at all so I ask Bashas in this dark time to not take advantage of us customers!
Not my go to for a big grocery run but when I just need a few things, this neighborhood shop is great for the odds and ends that I need in between restocking the pantry. The cashiers are always friendly and wonderful
Came in to get a propane tank trade out and the clerk could not find the individual to do the swap so she handled it herself. Exceptionally clean Store and Friendly staff
The 80s are alive in Bashas'. Good riddance that these are all closing. High prices and disgusting interiors that look to have never been updated. Most Bashas' look like this so no wonder the company is going out of business besides their high prices?
I love that this place hires employees that are special needs. I love my reward card. Bakery is awesome. Staff is old school style but they really get timeless grocery store values.
If i could leave no stars i would, Worst customer service ever! Whats the point of putting your stuff in a cart when you unload it they give your cart to someone else? Yes id love to carry all 20 of my items to my car with no cart. And dont get me started on the rent a cop they have shes rude as hell.i hate coming here the only reason we come to this store is for the 20 buck meat boxes even then doesnt seem worth it!
I hate and dread this store.the worst I’ve been! Always long lines with minimal cashiers. One of the cashiers, and some in the deli, are filthy looking ALL the time, clothes (uniform) and persona in general! They cant seem to stock items periodically.
Went to do a money transfer and grab a snack and a drink, but found things on sale to make a meal for less than a dollar more.
A good and easygoing place to shop. Staff helps you with whatever questions you have. Walking through the store is very straightforward, no problems finding the right aisle as the layout is simple but well thought out. The signage in the store is clear and large enough to locate whatever you are looking for.
I don't actually always come here for groceries, but I do come for the customer service desk. They are one of the few places I have found who will actually give you quarters for dollars, which is more rare than you might think.
They also have very kind employees and a clean store, and SRP pay centers in a bright, safe location.
No freakn breakfast.except for burritos.worker didn't even knw if they ever have biscuit gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon.no wanno place. Chandler/dobson.tne bomb.
Managers check yo selves here.needs work.
Cynthia L. At the customer service desk is rude, looks like she hates her job.
Never coming back because of her
I like the "small town grocery" feel. Had to run in real quick to grab some deserts. Decent bakery selection and small lines. It got busy and they opened up more lanes which is always nice.
I won't be shopping here anymore. This location seems to have a problem stocking product that is on sale, always having to get rain checks and having to return multiple times to redeem the rain check because everyone else is probably trying to do the same. Went 4 times in a 2 week period to try and get my 4 (for $8.88) code red mountain dew rain check redeemed (always asking to check in the back storage) and failed EVERY TIME until this last Saturday, they had 2-12 packs available so I requested (after explaining to the nice cashier) they sell me the 2 for the $8.88 considering they never have 4, she tried reasoning with the lady manager but she refused and I was charged $4.99 each! I've shopped at Basha's in Arizona for 35 years and I am very disappointed.
I was looking for Vermouth to marinade chicken for a recipe. I looked around for about 15 minutes and couldn't find it. I asked someone who worked there, he went and asked someone else. A young man came out and asked me what it was, I explained that I didn't know, his response was that if it wasn't in the mixer aisle they didn't have it. I asked if he could search in computer, he said he would call manager, but seemed very put out. After speaking with manager, he again said they didn't sell. I asked to speak with manager, after about 10 minutes, the manager finally showed up. I told her I was looking for Vermouth, she asked what it was and I again explained I didn't know what it was. I asked if she can check in computer, she just simple said, we don't sell it. She never offered to search or acknowledge my request. At this point, admittedly, I became flustered, set my basket down and begin to walk out of store. All she said, was "have a nice night" It was at that point that I noticed a glass case up front that had bottles of liquor, and to my disbelief, there was vermouth right there! I called this to her attention and explained that if she would have taken the time to look, she would have found it. All she did was say "have a nice night", following me out of store and saying the same thing outside the store, in front of the security guard, who confronted me and asked if I had a problem.wow, great customer service, you can be sure that if I had to drive miles out of my way, I will never step foot in another Bashas!
