Bell Rock reviews
17 Awesome beginner friendly trail with breathtaking views.
Came in mid August and it was HOT. There’s almost no shade in the trail and can get very hot. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Loved the experience hiking with the vortex energy around and ever-present.
FYI: The trail ends at the plateau and not on the summit of the rock. You can scale the rock from there to get up to the spires, but be cautious because you'll be without any real trail markers and it can get precarious and even dangerous under adverse conditions. Bring extra water in case.
An absolutely awesome view and a fairly easy hike. Even with the heat, the hike wasn't difficult and will take you fairly far up the rock to capture some amazing views and photos. Coming up here before day break to catch the sunrise is a sight to behold.
Easy trail up Bell Rock gives everyone a variety of scenic
view that can only be experience going up the canyon
Very fun hike. Great views. With any of the hikes, make sure you get the pass for the same park and do them in that day so you only have to pay for parking once.
Trail sort of marked but in different directions and not super obvious or just one way to ascend. It doesn't seem like it's possible to get lost. Some people just head straight up the steep center and others wind around to find easier paths. We did both and towards the top went around the far left before coming back to the center to reach top of the left pillar. Felt great to reach the top. The views are incredible all the way up. Need lots of water and good shoes.
Favorite hike around Sedona. Relatively easy but the views from the upper strata of rocks are terrific. Ho early morning.
Amazing views. Moderate hike. If you can find a spot to be alone it can be very rejuvenating
Must see! Trail was more difficult than I imagined it would be. But we were able to make it to the direct bottom of Bell Rock. When the path became more difficult we turned around. It was awesome though!
Plenty of trails to explore. Climbing up bell rock is a lot of fun, and not too difficult. If you're looking for something slightly more challenging check out cathedral rock.
Oh, my goodness! This is an incredible and amazing hike. Medium level hike. So, almost anybody can do it. Everything up to the main path stopping point is fairly easy, with a few tough spots. The view from the top of that path is spectacular. Idk if there is an actual path to the top of the rock. I don't think there is. That would likely take an experienced rock climbing expert, as the main path falls considerably short of the top, at about 2/3 up. But, spectacular views and well worth the mostly easy climb.
I'm sure there's good hiking to be had but we just did a nice relaxing walk with family. Amazing views.
If you are willing and able to climb part way up Bell Rock, the view of Sedona is breathtakingly beautiful
Easy to access (pay as you enter, $5), with a very manageable trail. You can make it difficult or easy, but the views are special. Go early for the heat, but people likely already know that.
Incredible place to go hiking, rock climbing to the top. Then some meditation, amazing day!
I am a beginner but I loved it here. I'll be back but be aware that this is not for someone who is not outdoorsy! You might be able to make it about a quarter of the way up but please be aware that you still have to find a way down lol. Super fun will def be back
Walked from our rented digs in Oak Creek, found a pleasant shady ledge and enjoyed the views!
