Best Shoe Repair and Alterations‎, Gilbert AZ

Overpriced. I dropped off some high heels to have new tips put on the heels, that's all. $18 a pair. It used to be $10. I find that to be outrageous for such a minor bit of work. Other shoe repair shops in the East Valley do the same quality work for more reasonable prices.

I've had 2 of my daughter prom dresses altered her. Very friendly, great work, and good prices.

I moved to Gilbert 5 yrs.ago & went in search of a shoe repair. I read reviews of Best Shoe Repair and thought I'd give them a try. I am so glad I did because I haven't been disappointed at any of their work, from stretching my new shoes for my large bunion to repairing worn heels, which they have not only fixed, but they've returned my shoes shined as well!

I also noticed that they did alterations so I took some simple hemming and was impressed by the finished product. I sew, but not even recreationally anymore due to lack of time so I know when an item is sewn professionally well. Angela does a phenomenal job! Case in point, I get free alterations at Nordstrom so I had a pair of shorts taken in the leg area because they were too wide. When I went to pick them up, the legs were unevenly sewn & I was given some made up excuse by Nordstrom's alterations dept.that I knew to be false. But I loved these shorts! So I took them to Best Shoe Repair and asked Angela if she could fix them and make them even, knowing I had to pay for them. She not only fixed them beautifully, she didn't want to charge me. Now that is good business! I just took her another pair of pants that I could have gotten done for free but I love the quality of her work so I paid to get them done correctly the first time! You can't go wrong whenever you take anything to her. She is an excellent seamstress!

This place is truly a hidden gem. My super picky husband has been so happy with the alteration work for his clothes and wouldn’t take them anywhere else.
They also did a great job repairing my favorite shoes. Even though the place is not close from my place, it is totally worth the driving for quality alteration and shoe repair. Love this place!

GREAT place for both alterations and shoe repair. I've been going to Angela for 10 years and she's always spot on AMAZING! I've referred many friends and coworkers. I always need my shoe stretched too in my toe box and they make my shoes so much more comfortable.

Called earlier in the day to find out the hours was told they close at 6. I had a few things about 12 to have altered just wanted to drop them off (they are already tagged). It was about 5 minutes before 6 the shop was already closed. I called she came to the door. She told me other shops do alterations. I am aware of that however I called your shop after returning from the airport on a trip and advised I needed an alteration for this week and was told if I arrived by six you could take them in. Mind you they are not exactly close to my home. Extremely disappointing and poor service.

Some of these negative reviews are a joke. I brought a pair of Too Boots ($450 dress shoes) in to have the bottom layer of both shoes replaced. They did an exceptional job and used quality material. Shoes look brand new and it was at a fair price.

I absolutely love this alteration and shoe repair store! I have been coming here for years. They also put batteries in our watches. I have a son who has Down syndrome and I always have to get his clothes altered. They do beautiful work and I’m so grateful. They are always so friendly to me. I recommend this business 100%! On a sidenote my daughter had a pair of boots that she lo ed, but the sole was completely worn off. They put a new sole in it and made Them look like new.new salon it and made them look like new! If you go tell her David’s mom sent you.

I was given a ridiculous price to repair a heel! I went elsewhere getting the service for one third!

They have repaired two pair of Gucci shoes and an emergency softball backpack beautifully. Always fair on price and well worth the 45 minute drive for me.

They have always done a great job for me. Price is reasonable and the timing is good for a very busy shop.

A little expensive but great quality work, had some jeans patched and they look amazing, you can't even tell

Owner arrived late on a Saturday morning and made no apologies to the theee customers waiting an extra 15 minutes for the doors to open. I needed the sole of one bowling shoe glued down in time for a League game the next night, but was told it would take three days. There was no attempt to meet, let alone exceed my expectations, and again, no apologies.

I am from New York, where great services abound. If this is the best the East Valley has to offer for shoe repair services, then I'll keep looking, because I won't be returning to this less than mediocre establishment ever again!

Flip flop dog disaster. The dog chewed one beautiful mustard leather Bernardo flip flop. I didn't think it would be repairable.but it was! They did a great job in a timely manner. I appreciate their work.

Brought a pair of boots in to get re-soled, they had to order the soles because of the size (14EE) which I understand because many places don't normally stock big & tall sizes. I got them back and I am ecstatic! They're great! Like new even! Outstanding job! The staff is friendly and helpful! I love this place! I'll never take my boots anywhere else!

I was satisfied enough to write a review lol but really there is a woman running the shop that has great customer service and she gets the job done well
