Bike Masters, Gilbert AZ

Bike Masters is a very good bike store and people who are working there are really knowledgeable. The reason for 3 stars is because in the last 2 years I bought 4 bikes (3 Specialized for kids and 1 Giant for me). Each time, when buying a bike, I was told that they are doing free of charge check-ups for the bikes that were bought at Bike Masters. I called them today to ask if they could do a high level check-up of my Giant (squeaky brakes, check the handlebar grips and see if everything else is ok) - they said that they are too busy and they can’t do that. They didn’t even say when they could do it, just a flat-out “no”. I would be eager even pay for the check-up, but we didn’t even get to the part of the conversation when I wanted to ask how much that would cost.

Anyway, I still think it’s a good bike store and most likely I will visit them again, but as a recommendation - please don’t promise things you can keep.

I like this place. It’s nice to talk to an expert who is humble and understands there are different levels of rider that come in. As a novice I appreciate their willingness to explain things to me whether or not I’m buying from them.

Max is the best bike mechanic in town. I went in to get a new chain ring installed, he noticed my shifting was off and found that my cassette was about to fall off. He didn’t have to go the extra step, but he did. Great shop. I recommend them to everyone.

I went to an event hosted by the Gilbert store tonight and everyone was so incredibly friendly and welcoming! It's so great to find a shop with such a great sense of community! I'm definitely going to be going back for my bike needs in the future! Thanks, Bike Masters!

Brought in a stump jumper with a rounded out pivot bolt and they were super helpful! They gave me suggestions to try to get the bolt out and even gave me a sacrificial Allen key to try to JB weld to the bolt. Fingers crossed the bolt comes out!

I paid $80 to have both brakes replaced and in under a week the front brake stops working completely and the back brake clicks. They said they can't do anything about it and to contact corporate. I paid these ppl $80 and they broke my only transportation. Now the bike's motor doesn't work. A $1300 Ebike and I paid em to basically break it. Extremely unprofessional.

Brought my tri bike in for a quick fix after flying in for the half Ironman and the boys were able to get it all tuned and dialed in for a smooth race day ride.

Outstanding customer service. I will always recommend Bike Masters to anyone who needs a new bike or a tuneup.

I've gone here twice for repairs and have received excellent service at a reasonable price. All the staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Scott really hooked me up tonight. I showed up 5 minutes before they closed and he found a missing piece to my bike that normally cannot be replaced. He also stayed late and helped fix my loose cassette. Guy is top notch and really shows his experience and professionalism. Will be coming back!

I came into Bike Masters today looking for a part for my mountain bike! We were greeted by a friendly employee who gave us the BEST customer service. Soon the manager, Scott, came to help as well. They called other shops and friends to try to locate the part for us. It is a part that is out of stock and difficult to find. We decided to leave the bike overnight. Before we even returned home, we got a phone call from Scott letting us know that he had found the part and it was ready for pick up! It is hard to find this kind of service anymore! Thanks to both of the awesome employees who helped us at Bike Masters (San Tan Village). I highly recommend them!

Scott’s the man when you’re actually trying to find something that fits you. His attention to the little details I wanted in an ebike we’re pretty particular. He pointed me in the direction of an awesome mid drive set up that I love!

I bought bikes for my entire family at Bike Masters. Spent 1,000s of dollars on some great Specialized bikes that we really like. A great selling point at the time was that Bike Masters offered free lifetime tuneups. Perhaps they we’re trying to compete with Global Bikes who offers the same.

Well, that has changed. No more free tuneups. I typically bring the bikes in 1-2 times per year; but, this year, I was told that they don’t give free tuneups anymore. Instead, it’s more of a Safety Check. That’s weird because, when I bought the bikes, it said lifetime tuneups. I think they called it a Basic Tuneup back then, which is more like their Sport Tuneup today. Perhaps their policy has changed, but the agreement when I bought our bikes was a lifetime of tuneups

Scott at Bike Masters is the best! This is the most helpful, friendly bike shop I’ve ever been to. Scott took great care of us, called around for the right part while we were there and found it that same day. Scott was fair and honest and his staff member was super helpful too. Great shop that I will definitely come back to!

This shop has the full package of high end bikes and retail, mid ranged and entry level.you can basically get the same level of attention asking for a 10$ tube change as you do trying to buy a 7k$ bike. That's exactly the way it should be and that is exactly the way that it is at this shop.

Been a customer for years. Great place and the staff is extremely helpful. Ask for Bike Master Max. He has insight on all things related to bikes and was able to fix an issue that I couldn't on my own. Amazing place. Give this guy a raise.

Great shop if you have a sur Ron in the area. They have worked on both of mine and done a great job at reasonable prices. Serviced front fork, installed new front fork, fixed flat tire, and replace belt on my belt drive sur Ron, and new brakes as well. I definitely recommend them. Thanks!
